“Samantha was so great with Ofelia. I have a moody cat and she was so patient and sweet to her. She would be on time every visit and send me pictures every single time. Quick to respond and super responsable. She even went above and beyond on many other things. Can’t recommend her enough 🫶🏼🐱”

“Kristen was a delight from the start. She is so sweet and kind. She took care of my cat for a weekend, not only feeding him, but she also administered medication, cleaned the litter box and spent some time with him. I would totally recommend Kristen to anyone looking for a cat sitter and will definitely be reaching out to her next time I will be out of town 😁”

“Lily was excellent. She dropped in additional times to ensure our cat was OK even outside of the times we booked her for. She kept us updated and when we arrived back our little girl was content and well. Thank you lily!”

About: I am a animal lover who has cared for many different animals over my lifetime. From a young age I have owned dogs, cats, birds, and many more! I enjoy being around animals and have taken care of pets both in home and while owners are away! I am a happy soul and would love to meet and care for your pet! I work full time in NYC in and can do walks in the afternoon lunch hour most weekdays. Weekends are always free for more walk and play time. Willing to adjust and accommodate with your schedule! Always willing to do the best care for your pet. If it’s walks outside, playtime inside and everything else, it would be a thrill for me to meet and care for your pet.
About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. “Eleni was WONDERFUL with my 2 cats!!! I will definitely be hiring her again!!! Mochi has diabetes and requires an insulin injection every 12 hours in addition to another medication twice a week and Eleni was happy to learn and able to give Mochi his meds which can be a bit daunting and sometimes difficult depending on his mood. but Eleni was attentive and really took the time to learn and care for him properly! my other cat Kumo is a scaredy baby and rarely shows his face around people but Eleni was patient and really put effort into getting him comfortable with her. Eleni updated me with great details about how they’re doing and food. the weather was changing every day from being very cold and then very hot and Eleni proactively adjusted the thermostat accordingly when needed! she would turn on cat TV every couple days AND put treats in their treat games daily so they would stay occupied during the day. Mochi had an accident and Eleni didn't hesitate to clean it up and take out the trash. she really took care of everything!”

About: For my whole life I’ve had a family dog, who I’ve helped to care for. Until her recent passing I walked her, played with, her, fed her, picked up after her, and everything else one does with a dog. I cared for her both when she was younger and more recently when she was aged and deaf, and have learned how to deal with and match the energy of dog’s at every stage of their lives. I’m currently a college student, so I have quite a bit of free time when I am not occupied in classes during the late morning to afternoon. Currently, as it is the summer, I am free to work anytime necessary. When I am craving for your dog in your home I will make sure to respect the order of your home and treat it the way you want it to be treated, even if I’m not explicitly told what that is. I will be receptive to your pets moods and needs, and cognizant of all the possible problems that could occur.
About: Hi! I’m a full time patient service representative at a PT office soon to be reattending school. I’m looking to make some extra money to help save up for school as well during school to keep me afloat. Most importantly meeting new dogs. I have loved dogs since I was little and I have one of my own. He’s a 3 yr old Rottweiler mix named Montu. Previously I had a small morkie mix who unfortunately passed a few years back. I have tons of experience with dogs from my own to my friends and families. I have dog sitted at my home for my mom’s morkie. I love meeting new dogs and seeing each of their different personalities. I also understand how hard it can be to get their daily walks in when you work full time so I would love to help others feel at ease. I hope I can have the pleasure of meeting your dog! I work full time currently but I get out early 3 days out of the week and I’m off on the weekends so I can always find time I have experience with anything as I’ve had my own. If needed to give medications, walk, crate I am able to do it all.
“Karen is outstanding and I highly recommend her. She took excellent care of our kitties and they love her! I am very pleased with the top notch care they received. I am now, and will be a forever client.”

“Juliana is truly amazing! She’s incredibly responsible and always provides detailed updates on each of my cats while I’m away, which gives me total peace of mind. She even includes multiple photos every time! My cats absolutely love her, and I never have to worry when I travel because I know they’re being cared for with as much love and attention as I give them myself. Hire Juliana—you won’t regret it!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hempstead
Ella did such a great job with my pups, she made sure they both got a lot of love while she was with them and both of my dogs had a fun time with her! I really appreciated how thoughtful and caring she was, and had such peace of mind that my dogs were being well taken care of! She sent a detailed summary of how the visit went and took such cute pictures!!

Esperanza was great to work with! I asked her if I can pay her to comd the night before the booking on extremely short notice to meet myself and my bernedoodle, and she was able to do so which was fantastic. She did two drop in visits during the day while I was away and did a wonderful job and followed all the instructions I gave her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
