About: Hiya! I’m Bea, a college student with years of hands on experience caring for both dogs and cats. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’ve spent most of my life helping care for the pets of friends and neighbors. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m usually the person everyone asks to watch their pets when they’re away! What sets me apart is the amount of care and attention I give every animal. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and comfort level so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. During teething, I noticed she had stopped eating her dry food, so after discussing it with her owner, I recommended switching to a softer option and monitored her closely afterward to make sure she adjusted well. I also have experience with senior cats, including caring for an 18 year old cat with vision and mobility changes. I understand that every stage of life comes with different needs, and I’m happy to adapt my care accordingly. When we’re out on walks, I always bring waste bags and water, and I make safety my top priority. At home, I enjoy keeping pets engaged with play, enrichment, cuddles (if they want them!), and plenty of attention. I’m also more than happy to send frequent photo and video updates, because I know how comforting it is to see your pet happy while you’re away. I’m a bit of a neat freak, so you’ll never have to worry about coming home to a mess. I’m happy to clean up after pets and even help with little household tasks like bringing in mail or watering plants if needed. My goal is simple: I want every pet to feel loved, safe, and cared for as if they were my own. As a college student taking one class each weekday morning during the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. Outside of class, I’m available for walks, drop in visits, daycare, and house sitting. I believe every pet deserves individual attention, so I make sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and mental enrichment while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I like to spend the first little while getting to know your pet’s personality and comfort level so I can adjust my care to their individual needs. Every animal is different, and I believe they deserve care that’s personalized rather than having a “one size fits all” ideology. I grew up with a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier and have spent years caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In December 2019, I adopted my senior rescue dog, Abbott, a Chihuahua mix who quickly became my best friend and constant companion. She passed away in March 2026, and caring for her through her senior years taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive pet care. I currently have a 2-year-old rescue pup named Clover, who is incredibly sweet and keeps me smiling every day. I'm a licensed therapist by profession, which means I bring patience, reliability, strong communication skills, and a calm presence to every interaction—both with pets and their humans. My husband and I recently moved to Long Island for his medical residency, but I'm not new to Rover. About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was young! Dogs are better than humans without a doubt and they make my day better than any human ever could. Many people I meet say that they’ve never met someone who’s more obsessed with dogs than I am. Dogs deserve everything and more in this world and there’s nothing more I’d love to do than care for all my fur babies! About: I’ve taken care of almost every kind of dog since I was young! I’ve grown up with a golden retriever, an Australian Shepard, and a mini papillon! I have walked, babysat, and dropped in for neighbors, family and friends with all types of pets. I work remote so I can watch pets daily or weekly! At most I go into the office twice a week so I am very flexible. If I do go in, it is mostly Tuesdays or Wednesdays but not weekly. I live in apartment building that allows pets, has a lounge area and green space all around building. Around the building is the town in Mineola and Garden City so great for walking dogs and super dog friendly area! Super safe with young working people so walking the dog around the town and grass will be no problem. If the dog must stay at my apartment we have lots of space so the dog will have enough space to roam and feel comfortable.
