“Bradley is great. You can tell he has a genuine love for dogs and I couldn’t be happier and more reassured leaving our Lab, Olga, with Bradley. I arrived home to a very happy and relaxed doggie. I’d highly recommend Bradley and will definitely book him again. Thank you Bradley!”

“Leah’s first stay with Patches went really, really well. They clearly made firm friends and he was very well looked after. Very happy with Leah as a sitter and will definitely be using again!”

About: My love of animals came at an early age. Since I can remember, I always had cats and later on had experience keeping other animals, like birds, rats and even a chick at one point! I have spent many years dog walking and sitting for friends and family, which gave me great experience of taking care of all kinds of dogs. I'm able to offer safe and active walks, keep up with ongoing training and provide basic health related care. I currently have 2 cats, Twist and Shadow; both rescued at a very early age with some early health issues, but both now grown up to be strong, crazy and very happy girls. I'm currently working part time between 10am and 2pm on weekdays. I'm able to offer walks/drop ins in the afternoons and evenings during the week, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I offer overnight pet sitting too, which includes an early morning walk for dogs. Pets feel by far the safest in their own homes, where they are familiar with the environment and feel at ease. I always ensure to keep their routine up and build up trust between us on their terms; giving them time and space. Being calm and patient is crucial and just as important as the love we give them.

“Jayne and Brian stayed at ours for the first time looking after our dog Willow. Jayne sent regular updates with photos, which was wonderful and made us feel very much at ease, as we could see that Willow was having a great tine with them. Jane and Bryan are lovely trustworthy people and we can't recommend them highly enough. In fact, we have our next booking with them already in the calendar!”

“Absolutely delighted with Naomi. It was the first time we had left Luther at home with a sitter so was a bit nervous how he would react but it seems like he didn't miss us at all ! Wouldn't hesitate to use Naomi in future and would totally recommend her”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets as long as I can remember and have looked after family pets and even friends pets too! I adore animals and have a college qualification in animal care. I’m flexible when it comes to taking care of your pets! I’ve currently finished my university teaching so I can provide lots of time and love to your pets and give them the attention that they require In the owners home I can provide caring responsibilities to your pet and keep a watchful eye on them at all times. I will engage in play time with them and build a bond with them so that we can trust eachother

“Holly is absolutely amazing. She is the best dog sitter I've ever had, I've not felt this relaxed leaving him ever! She sends so many photos and updates and he was so happy. We got home to a happy and chilled boy who'd clearly been taken very good care of. I cannot recommend Holly enough!”

“Ella did such a good job with the pets. The dogs were very happy and relaxed when we arrived home. The updates and photos were great. Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking again”

About: In my years, I have helped look after dogs (including helping my mum with our labrador's litters), cats (including my cat giving birth under my bed and raising the kittens until they were ready to go to their new homes), guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, fish and even a snake! I love all animals and never feel a home is fully complete without at least one! I have a zero-hours contract job and a child for whom I share custody on a 50/50 basis. I have availability during school hours, evenings and alternate weekends. If you are happy for my son to be a part of the pet boarding/sitting process, then I would have more frequent availability. In whatever capacity I am entrusted to care for your pets, I will listen to, and follow, all of your instructions. I will give your animals the same level of care, attention and love that you give them and will work with you to ensure a successful service is provided.

About: From tiny pups with endless energy to big, lovable dogs with gentle hearts — I’ve cared for them all. Dog walking and sitting isn’t just a job to me; it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m calm, dependable, and dogs naturally feel comfortable around me. Friends, neighbours, and family have trusted me for years because they know their pets are safe, happy, and loved in my care. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own pack. Pet care fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I’ll be doing this full time alongside my daily fitness routine, so staying active with your dog is a natural part of my day. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or relaxed company at home, I’ve got the time, energy, and love to give. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I provide a calm, secure environment with plenty of love, space, and attention. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I stick to your dog’s routine and needs. I’m happy to crate if needed, and I’m mindful of how each dog adjusts. My goal is to make them feel relaxed, safe, and at home, whether they’re here for a walk, a day, or a full stay.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have been horse riding since I could walk, and I’ve dreamt of being a Vet since I could talk. Although my career path has changed, my love for animals has not. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own, which I have had since they were babies, and now I am looking after them in their senior years. My dog currently has heart disease, due to genetic issues, so I am experienced in administering medication. My cat, although she is old, she is still as fiesta as ever. She has not taught me how to administer medication, but other skills such as patience. I’m currently working full time as an apprentice in supply chain compliance. This allows me to be flexible with my working as I am working from home majority of the week. I also have flexible working times so can finish my hours later/earlier than a rigid working week. My dog gets a daily walk due to him being little and older, he doesn’t walk very far (he chooses when to go back). He is also suffering from heart disease- a genetic disorder, so I administer medicine to his twice daily every 12 hours. My cat on the other hand is very low maintenance, but loves a cuddle and spend majority of the day sleeping in my room.

“Heather house sat for us and looked after our cockapoo, Hugo, for a few days. She was respectful, reliable, and communicative throughout, sending regular photo updates to show that Hugo was happy and well cared for. We really appreciated the peace of mind while we were away. We’d highly recommend Heather and happily give her 5 stars. Thank you again!”

“Sami looked after Douglas for a night in our house, and Douglas took to Sami straight away, and you could tell that she was going to be great with him. He's an anxious dog and has lots of little quirks, but this didn't seem to worry Sami at all and they had a great time together!”

“Pricilla was incredibly friendly and flexible. She agreed to come round and introduce herself before the stay to make sure everything was ok. I have no hesitation in leaving my dog with her again.”

“Really great dog sitter for my nervous pup. Oscar warmed to her quickly after a difficult first meet where she did get nipped on the finger but totally understood & wasnt put off. She is fully trust worthy to leave in your home & look after your furbabies & home. Fully recommend her and will use her services again.”

“Jerry and Jess watched Coco for us over Christmas and New Year holidays. Coco was recovering from some health issues so we wanted a sitter that would stay in our house to make things as easy on Coco as possible. Jerry and Jess took incredible care of Coco while we were away. They were diligent about giving medications, sent photos and videos everyday, and gave her lots of cuddles! Most importantly, they got Coco to eat 2-3 times a day when we sometimes struggle to get her to finish a single meal. Coco had lost weight during her illness and was very skinny when we left. By the time we'd returned home, she no longer felt bony and we could feel that she'd put on weight. A recent vet visit confirms that she's gone up from 5.9kg to 6.3kg, very nearly back to her normal weight! Not only did Jerry and Jess look after our dog, but also our home. When we finally arrived home at 2am, the house was immaculately clean and there was almost no sign they'd been there except for a lovely card and a dessert in the fridge for us! We cannot recommend Jerry and Jess enough. They are kind, caring people and took wonderful care of Coco and our house. We would love to have them watch Coco again for future trips.”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life, as well as looked after farm animals. I've frequently sat for friends and family, and have fostered animals through local charities. I work hybrid and have access to a car which can accommodate medium-'smaller' large dogs. I am able to travel to homes to do pet visits, and house sit. Please note I can't sit for dogs that have aggression or are very large (mastiff, Cane Corso, etc) due to safety reasons. I do however have lots of experience with dogs and cats with health needs. I have a fully enhanced DBS.

About: I (Tom) have recently moved to Derby from Staffordshire for work and miss my three dogs greatly. Ever since I was a baby I have grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits and gerbils so it was hard to leave all that behind when moving away. Currently, I am not prepared to have my own dog - financially speaking, so I figured this would be a great way to meet some new animals and their owners. I am very active, running up to 5 times per week and regularly taking long walks. I particularly enjoy visiting the national trust sites local to Derby. I work full time but work from home a minimum of 3 days per week and am free most weekends. My girlfriend, Eloise also lives with me part time and loves animals - so she will care for your pets should I be called into the office! I go for a walk every morning, every lunch time and every evening already so I plan that I will just take your pets along with me. Ordinarily, in the morning and lunch time I will visit the parks local to me and then in the evening I will venture further afield, often going to Darley park, Markeaton park, Calke Abbey and Kedleston hall as I am a national trust member. I am used to caring for animals with regards to feeding routines and am usually up around 5:30am until 10pm so can cater to any specific schedules. I absolutely love animals and will give them lots of fuss and affection. I will provide daily updates and photos so that you can keep up with how they are doing whilst you enjoy your well deserved time off! I will also bathe them free of charge should they get muddy or wet on any of our walks and provide lots of free treats

About: As a animal lover and zoology graduate, I am very passionate about animals. My range of experience from working at an RSPCA rescue centre to Chester zoo have allowed me to be able to deal with a range of different animals and personalities, whether that’s timid or friendly. I’m currently working part time looking to get some more working and animal experience to help get a career with animals. I am available most days I will make sure to respect the pet owners home and keep things tidy and the way that I found it, being respectful of both the owner and pets needs.

Lucy B.
“Lucy has been an animal lover all her life. Her naturally caring and inquisitive nature, coupled with her kindness and large capacity for empathy, has moulded Lucy into a wonderful young woman. Lucy was very attached to the cat she helped raise as a child. Always wanting a pet dog, Lucy unfortunately had to make do with cuddly toys each fluffy toy she named and adored as if they were real. Lucy continued her passion for animals into young adulthood, where she studied for three years for a degree in Zoology and of course she passed with flying colours . Lucy has just completed a summer placement in Chester zoo where she worked with various animals. Lucy became very attached and was very sad when her placement came to an end. She is hoping to visit again in the near future. Lucy’s love of all things furry has continued to grow and she hopes to secure a future working with and caring for the animals she hold so dear to her heart.”
