“David kept me fully updated during Fern’s stay with photos and videos. Fern looked like she was having a great time, enjoying the garden and lots of new toys and treats! Thanks David & Jo, Fern will be back again in August.”

“We recently used Steven for the first time and couldn’t be happier with the experience! Our standard poodle is quite fussy and usually takes a while to settle with new people, but she came home so happy and clearly had the best time. She went on loads of fun adventures and we got regular updates, which really put our minds at ease. It’s such a relief to know she was so well looked after. We’ll definitely be booking again—highly recommended”

About: Hello! ☺️ We are Sophie and Bryony, we are a married couple in our 30s looking to provide dog boarding and doggy day care in our spare time. ** PLEASE NOTE ** We only offer boarding on FRIDAY & SATURDAY nights. Dog boarding on Friday nights would need to start from 17:00 onwards due to work commitments. We are unable to provide boarding on Sunday nights but can accommodate dogs until Sunday evening. We are absolutely dog mad, no matter the size or the breed and we treat all dogs like our own. Dogs are allowed on beds in our house (plenty of cuddles will be had!) we have experience of small, medium and large breeds. We want this to be a home away from home and we want your dogs to feel safe & enjoy themselves. We have a beautiful 3 year old Boxer girl named Binky, who is the most playful, loving girl. We recently had to say goodbye to our 10 year old beautiful Boxer boy Barney and our lives haven’t been the same. Binky loves the company of other dogs and is missing her best friend. Binky is well socialised and goes on group walks with our lovely dog walker during the week so still spends lots of time with other dogs. We would love some friends to come and stay and join our fun! Sophie has had Boxers for 10 years and Bryony has had family dogs throughout her childhood and adult life. This has included Boxers, Pugs, German Shepherds, Shar Peis and Bulldogs. We both have puppy experience and experience of senior dogs - Our beautiful late boy Barney had a degenerative condition and required specialist care for the last few months of his life. This included administering medication and eye drops. Sophie works full time as an Occupational Therapist and Bryony works full time as a Social Worker (both Monday to Friday). We are available for doggy daycare Saturday and Sundays and overnight stays Friday and Saturday nights. We are happy to collect and drop off for an extra fee within the Derby/Derbyshire area. We have a large, secure garden suitable for dogs to explore and play in. Our dog Binky has the full run of our house and is allowed on beds, your dog will also have access to all areas of house and garden. We have a spare room if your dog is used to sleeping on a bed, but they can always jump on ours in the night if they want a cuddle. All doors will be left open so that your dog has got access to water throughout the night. We will provide regular updates of how your dog is settling in, through messages and photographs/videos 🥰 we ourselves know it can be difficult to leave your babies somewhere new (we’ve been through it too) so we will always want to reassure owners that their dogs are ok. Please see photographs of our garden and downstairs living area. We both have an enhanced DBS through work. Meet and greets are very much welcomed and you can have a tour of the house if you wish! 😊

“Holly was fab yet again. She had Winnie at short notice and looked after her overnight and all the next day into the evening. Thanks again Holly!”

About: About Me Hi, I’m Gina, a lifelong dog lover based in Derby. I used to have a rescue lurcher who I adored, so I understand the love, care, and patience dogs need, especially those with a sensitive or unique background. Sadly, I lost my dog in October, and while I’m not ready for a new pup of my own just yet I’d love to offer a loving and reliable home to care for yours. My Home & Experience I have a pet-friendly home with a secure, good-sized, enclosed garden that’s perfect for playtime. I also have a large dog crate available for dogs who prefer the comfort and security of their own space. Whether your dog loves cuddles on the sofa or quiet naps in their own corner, I tailor my care to suit their routine and personality. What I Offer • Dog sitting (in my home) • Overnight boarding (in my home) • Flexible availability • Comfortable, calm environment with one-on-one attention I know how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your dog in someone else’s care, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to arrange a meet & greet! I work from home Monday to Friday which means I’m around throughout the day to provide consistent care, supervision, and company for your dog. My routine is flexible, so I can easily accommodate morning, lunchtime or evening walks, feeding schedules, playtime and quiet rest periods tailored to your pet’s needs. Dogs are never left alone for long. In the week they may be occasions where they are left for no longer than 2 hours at a time and weekends no longer than 4 hours. During the day, I work from my home office upstairs where dogs are welcome to join me and relax by my side while I work. They will enjoy a calm, quiet environment with plenty of attention and reassurance. I have a good-sized, enclosed garden, perfect for supervised playtime and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. There’s also a large dog crate available for dogs who feel more secure having their own space but this is optional depending on your dog’s needs. In the evenings, we can unwind together downstairs. Pets are welcome on the sofa for cuddles and company. I tailor care to suit each dog’s routine and personality, whether they prefer playtime, peaceful naps, or lots of affection. Your pet will feel safe, settled and part of the home.

“Booked with Holly as we were in the area for two days. Communication was consistent and reliable, and Holly sent lots of photos which was much appreciated. She made sure they were comfortable and asked about their usual routine. Our two dogs loved being with Holly, with two walks and lots of snuggles. Couldn't recommend Holly more!”

“Bethany and Obi were excellent company for our little Chomsky! We received daily picture & video updates which we highly appreciated. Chomsky’s come back very happy and we would definitely book with Bethany again. ♥️☺️”

“Jennie was so lovely and accommodating. She kept Basil safe, happy and entertained when I booked at the last minute. Basil isn't your typical dog but Jennie took it all in her stride. Thanks so much, you really helped me out! Would highly recommend and book again!”

“Jessica & Jong are simply the best cat sitters out there. They took care of our cat very well. Our cat felt at home & was fed well. Will definitely choose them again?”

“Rachel and family, thank you so much for looking after our 2 boys for the week. From the first contact you were friendly and welcoming and it is clear the boys were very well looked after and had a great week with you. We would not hesitate to book with you again.”

About: I (Tom) have recently moved to Derby from Staffordshire for work and miss my three dogs greatly. Ever since I was a baby I have grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits and gerbils so it was hard to leave all that behind when moving away. Currently, I am not prepared to have my own dog - financially speaking, so I figured this would be a great way to meet some new animals and their owners. I am very active, running up to 5 times per week and regularly taking long walks. I particularly enjoy visiting the national trust sites local to Derby. I work full time but work from home a minimum of 3 days per week and am free most weekends. My girlfriend, Eloise also lives with me part time and loves animals - so she will care for your pets should I be called into the office! I go for a walk every morning, every lunch time and every evening already so I plan that I will just take your pets along with me. Ordinarily, in the morning and lunch time I will visit the parks local to me and then in the evening I will venture further afield, often going to Darley park, Markeaton park, Calke Abbey and Kedleston hall as I am a national trust member. I am used to caring for animals with regards to feeding routines and am usually up around 5:30am until 10pm so can cater to any specific schedules. I absolutely love animals and will give them lots of fuss and affection. I will provide daily updates and photos so that you can keep up with how they are doing whilst you enjoy your well deserved time off! I will also bathe them free of charge should they get muddy or wet on any of our walks and provide lots of free treats
