“Summer was perfect, from her communication to professionalism to just being completely understanding of dogs and pet parents. I was comfortable with my decision from start to finish. She asked questions if she wasn’t sure and left me tons of videos and photos to keep me updated. She has been my favorite and I will be using her services again (most likely only her lol, thanks Rover)”

About: I truly love animals, my favorite being dogs. i am with dogs every day all day.I have lots of experience with raising puppies and caring for dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I have owned snakes, lizards, turtles, fish;etc. so I also have experience with small animal care along with house sitting. Though I am not certified I train dogs for fun. (Basic obedience & tricks) I have even been told by a professional that I am really good at training dogs. I am a certified dog groomer. Some may say that I am a great bather and my grooms are neat. After working at an animal hospital for 2yrs I know a thing or two about pet care & what to do in an emergency so no worries your pets are completely safe in my care. Pet care is my life from the time that i wake up from the time i lay my head. i can do this in my sleep. (: in my home every dog is given the same amount of love. i do not have a fenced in yard however i take leash safety very seriously. we walk daily and i have never had a dog escape. i have tie out long enough to go where they'd like within the safe zone. we also have play time within my spacious finished basement that also has a fully stocked mini grooming salon on the opposite side. as far as drop ins in the clients home whatever care sheet you provide is what will be followed to the T.
“Bri I wanna thank you so much for your boarding service! You are God sent. You loved on my baby, kept me informed, sent pictures and treated him like your own. You took great care of my Brawny! I am looking forward to booking with you again! I appreciate you!!!”

“Very kind, understanding and accommodating. He will absolutely be our go to person to care for Jasper. If you want to breathe easy and know your dog is being cared for and having fun, Ben is who you want watching your dog. I loved seeing pictures of Jasper making new friends or just relaxing super close to Ben. Jasper is a very close snuggler and it was nice to see he could snuggle and be in his happy spot.”

“Jessica took great are of our dog while we were away. The daily photos she sent showed that Sundance was comfortable in his temporary surroundings, which gave us peace of mind. She has a nice fenced yard where dogs can enjoy outdoors time. She was available for meet/greet and drop off/pick up. All went smoothly!”

“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”

“Lindsay was an amazing sitter for my baby Theodore. She was attentive, patient, sweet, and also gives updates on how he was doing the whole time. I got daily pictures of him and it made me really happy. I will book her again and again. Highly recommend.”

“Our favorite family to trust with our dog. They do an amazing job sending pictures and updates. We always feel 100% comfortable leaving our furry friend for the week or weekend. Can’t express enough how grateful we are for Tara and Peter!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I’ve been 10 years old. I love taking them on walks and playing with them outside. I have experience with cats and dogs alike. I have a pretty open schedule. I have a job at a restaurant but usually get around 2-3 shifts a week and work 4-9 during the week days and 9:30-3:30 on the weekends. I get my schedule 2 weeks in advance I have a huge yard with a pool. We love to play with our dog in the pool and ley her run around all the time. We feed her twice and day and take her outside and much as we can so she can sprint around the yard and go exploring. Our cat lives outside but we feed him twice a day and when shi get comes he comes inside to hang out with us.

“Cathy took wonderful care of our dog while we were away for 5 days. I can’t say enough good things about her. She was easy to communicate with, she sent photos everyday, and checked in so we knew all was well with our boy. If you’re looking for a friendly and reliable sitter I’d highly recommend Cathy!”

“Gus had another fantastic time at Susan’s. She is so wonderful with him and does such a great job of sending pictures and videos everyday. He comes home tired, but so happy from playing with Frank and the other dogs that stay while he’s there.”

“Arya did an amazing job of keep us informed on how Lu was doing. He took great care of him while we were out of town and communicated with us about any concerns he had. I will definitely be using him again!”

“Sooki had a great experience with Deanna and even made some new friends. Deanna was excellent; welcoming and reassuring--she sent daily updates and photos and answered questions promptly. All in all, a wonderful place for dogs to feel at home. 5-stars! I will definitely book again with Deanna.”

“Kathleen and Nathan took excellent care of our dog. We were passing through the area on our way home from the east coast and needed a place for Dilly to get some exercise and play before we continued our trip. Dilly enjoyed playing in their large, fenced yard and had fun playing with their kids. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Dilly was happy and relaxed and ready to go the next day.”

“Anna was simply amazing. My dog really enjoyed being with her. She even got my dog eating which speaks to Anna’s warm spirit. Book with Anna and you won’t be worried.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Twinsburg
Julien was very kind and respectful, but I do wish he communicated more. I let him know at drop off and explained in the care notes for our dog that she sometimes resource guards her food, and what to do if that happens. He said he would message if he needed anything, so I assumed all was well when no messages came through. She had some food left in her kennel with her when he left for the store, and when he returned, she was growling and resource guarding. Scary - I get it. I totally understand being afraid to get near her kennel when she’s like that, but I wish he would’ve told us this was happening. We could have talked him through exactly what to do in that situation, but instead she stayed in her kennel for about 24 hours. Again, I totally understand the fear and hesitance, but communication could have prevented her from not being able to eat, drink, or relieve herself for an entire day. She’s been through a lot, and it honestly sucked to find out she had been left like that when we picked her up. I do believe Julien is a very good and responsible person, and he is deserving of trust when caring for animals. Communication is all that he needs to work on, and I trust that he will move differently moving forward.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
