“We’ve done Rover a lot and never had a sitter so dedicated. We got reports each day and many days she took our pup on an adventure, dog park, pup cup, walks, etc. She clearly takes this job seriously and we appreciated it for our senior pup that gets stressed easily. We were gone a long time and he did great!”

“Keith & Rebecca took such great care of our dog Pippy! They were very easy to communicate with & sent many photos & updates, which we really appreciated! They exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend!”

“Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!”

“Connie and her husband, Greg, did such an amazing job with Carter and treated him like he was their own dog! It's very clear to see that they just love dogs! The attention to detail about his normal routine and going the extra mile to make him feel at home are so much appreciated! Connie sent photos of Carter throughout his time there and he looked so happy! He was so excited when I picked him up! It is such a relief to know that my fur baby was in such good hands while I was working. Carter was so comfortable with Connie and Greg from the start and he had a blast while he was there. I will definitely be calling Connie again and again whenever I need someone to watch Carter for me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

“Kimberly was wonderful with our pup Nala! She was happy to have us come for a meet and greet prior to booking and from the moment we met I knew she’d be a good fit for us! She is kind and really understands how to let dogs get comfortable in a new environment at their own pace. I also appreciated the pictures and regular updates she sent while we were away. She got Nala out for walks every day even in frigid cold weather! Thank you Kimberly!”

“Nathan and Jenna were incredible! I think our pups didn’t want to come home after there time there. We have super high energy dogs and they had so much opportunity to run and play. they were pretty tired the next couple of days but so happy! I got regular videos and updates and it was an overall great experience!”

“Jason was a life saver agreeing to care for Stella while I had a last minute meeting out of town. He was very responsive and took great care of her. She was happy and busy playing when I came to pick her up. Would absolutely use again. Thanks for the great care!”
“Kathleen and Nathan took great care of our dog, Ruthie. Lots of pictures and we really felt like they treated her like family. Will definitely ask them to watch Ruthie next time we travel!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Brutus while we were away. I never have to worry about the frenchie nuances when he’s with you! I loved seeing all his pictures with his buddies and he always comes back to us in good spirits.”
“We’re really happy with Debra and how she handled everything for our dog while we were out of town. We arranged for a meetup before the stay to ensure this would be a good match. When I dropped off our dog there was an introduction to the other pets in her home so our pup could get acclimated. While we were away we received daily updates with photos and it looked like our pup was having a great time. Thanks for taking good care and we look forward to scheduling with you again!”

“Lorie is terrific! The dogs were well cared for and safe in her home and fenced yard. We felt welcomed upon arrival and the dogs were ready for us with their things packed for departure.”

“I couldn't be happier with her care of my pup. I had concerns leaving my dog for several days, as I had never been away and she has anxiety. Also I was unsure how she would be with other dogs. She took GREAT care of her. Sent me pictures and videos which I loved. And when I picked my dog up she was so affectionate with Marie which showed me she had really been treated well Will definitely use her again!!”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Emily took such great care of our Myles! I recieved updates and pictures throughout his stay. I thought Myles wouldn't want to come home lol! I will definitely book with Emily anytime we need boarding.”

About: Hi I’m Hayley! I have about a year of Rover experience, doing doggie drop ins and walks. A little bit about me: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs nearly my entire life. I’ve never met a cat I didn’t love! I have two super friendly poodle mixes Nova and Arlo. Not only have I taken care of cats/dogs for 20+ years, I’m also the first to volunteer to care for my friends and neighbors beloved pets. I once babysat a neighbors 30 outdoor cats! I also have experience with senior cats and dogs. My expertise with dogs are home visits, walking and fetch or playing. I have a toddler who also loves animals and will accompany me at times, so a friendly dog is a MUST. I will watch one small/medium dog at my home in Ravenna prior to meeting them to ensure they get along with my pups. I treat my pets like family members, and would love to care for yours as well! I work a flexible hybrid schedule so I’m willing to work with your schedule. I’m available for overnight doggy daycare at my home for one family friendly pup if you’re out of town. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly pups to keep your dog company. They love to play! I’m willing and able to crate if needed as well.
“Once again, Tommy has been cared for by Kathy and Graham so well that we never have to worry when we are away. It's obvious that he remembers and loves them. He enjoys his walks, cuddles and special treats!. The pictures we receive make us smile as well.”

I absolutely enjoyed working with Desia. Diesel had an amazing time based on all the pictures videos and texts. It was my first time leaving him with any one other than family. I can see how much he enjoyed time with them based on his current activity choices. Definitely will book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
