“Jessica deserves 10/10 stars. She was amazing with Bailey. She was able to make our wedding special by bringing Bailey to our wedding ceremony. We definitely plan on using Jessica again for our boarding services in the future.”

“Kate was an amazing sitter! She made the entire process seamless, providing regular updates and adorable pictures of our dog. I highly recommend her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“I highly recommended this family to be your dog’s sitter! They have watched my min pin Daisy seven times. They promptly respond to requests and have a nice sized backyard for her to safely run around in. The pictures and videos sent while she stay’s here are both adorable and illustrate my dog’s love for this family. 🐶🐾 Amy”

“One of the best sitters we’ve ever had. We always felt like our pups were cared for and Natasha provides great updates throughout their stay. We will book Natasha for our next trip, absolutely recommended.”

“Kathleen and Nathan took great care of our dog, Ruthie. Lots of pictures and we really felt like they treated her like family. Will definitely ask them to watch Ruthie next time we travel!”

About: I have been watching pups for around 4 years and am good with being patient and making the pup feel comfortable around me as well as having fun. I am a full time student and go to class four times a week with studio time on the weekend but after class this would be really good for me to be able to take breaks and use this time to make some extra money. When I take care of a pup I feed them, take them outside, and play with them. I also am big on making the dog comfortable and feel safe with me.
About: All my life i’ve been surrounded by animals of all sorts; dogs, cats, chickens, horses, turtles, you name it and ive had it! I think it’s very important that us caretakers provide all needs for your furry(and non-furry) friends! Some animals have certain accommodations like extra play time, long walks, attention, meal plans, or even separation from other animals in the house that i believe must always be met. Making sure your animal feels loved and cared for even in absence from their owners is also crucial in helping keep our animal family happy! Having many animals of my own (1 dog, 8 cats, a turtle, a lizard, and chickens) caring for these animals has become a daily routine. Being away for school definitely puts a riff in my routine of animal care so i’m always looking for a way to spend some extra time with animals even if they’re not my own. My dog has terrible anxiety and needs extra care. She is often let out to run free in our backyard. Out 8 cats need fed and watered multiple times a day with one of our cats liking the great outdoors as well. The lizard and turtle need fed on a different schedule as they don’t get fed daily. Litter boxes and other animal dropping are cleaned in a daily basis along with any other mess that comes along with pet ownership. Regular baths and grooming are also necessary for the proper care of all animals.
“I was anxious about finding a safe place to leave my puppy but Madison was wonderful. When I picked my girl up I got the feeling that she really had a good time and was well treated. I will definitely be employing Madison again.”

“Daniel and Rachel are always so accommodating and sends us many photos and videos of our Yote playing. He's always so happy to visit and pooped when we bring him home.”

“Leaving behind our 5-month-old puppy for an 11-day vacation filled me with nervousness. After speaking to several people, I found Sarah, who I knew was the perfect choice. Sarah's attention to detail was impeccable - she gathered all the necessary information and maintained my puppy's routine flawlessly. Keeping us updated with photos and videos, Sarah's care provided me with peace of mind throughout my vacation. When our puppy returned home, he was just as happy and carefree as if he had never been away.”

“Isabella made sure our two dogs had a great time with her! They went to the dog park, on a hike, and even for a pup cup. She sent lots of pictures and was very communicative. We appreciate her taking on our last minute booking!”

“First time using Rover (recommended from a family member). From first experience with Rover and first sitter, I am very impressed! Sauddi and my cats got along very well. (They are friendly to everyone and will not go near people they sense are problems.). She provided daily videos, images and messages to update their status. She definitely did a fantastic job and, recommend her for a cat sitter. Gentle and kind. Thank you so much, you were a big help! 😊”

“Our dogs can get easily stressed when away from home. When I picked them up from Madison's, they looked relaxed. They were excited to see me but also very much at ease at Madison's which was great to see. I am very glad we know Madison now and look forward to her caring for our boys again!”
“My Opal had a relaxing stay with Wyatt. She got to socialize with other dogs & there were no worries about her safety & care. Progress photos thru the week were comforting to receive. Wyatt gets my highest recommendation.”

“Susan was super sweet and trustworthy. Her yard was set up like a playground for dogs. It was amazing. I am thrilled with the care she provided my animals. I would use her again. Highly recommend”

About: I have worked on two different farms! Ranging from exotic animals to farm animals, taking care of them, feeding them, doing enrichment, going on walks, and being their advocate. I love every animal equally, ranging from big to small. I can assure you, your pet is safe in my hands I currently work a part time job as a manager on the farm, and have very flexible hours. I mostly work weekends and Mondays on the farm I have a puppy at home who is super friendly. I also have a bunny and reptiles who are all caged in. I do not have a fenced in area at my apartment but I don’t mind going on walks to let some energy out. My apartment is a townhome, and has 2 levels.
“Wendy was really great with our dog who is not quite 2 years old. Our dog has a few challenges (slight separation anxiety and some unexpected aggression) and Wendy was confident and willing to work with her. Wendy also kept me updated throughout our week with texts and pictures. Highly recommend!”
“Courtney was great, we did a meet and great before we booked. We had great communication and she sent pics of my dog during the stay. Her home is well suited for pet sitting, has a nice fenced in yard in quiet neighborhood, end of a street without much traffic. They don't have any other pets, so that makes it nice too, don't have to worry marking as much. Highly recommend!”

Bella did a wonderful job watching our dog, Storm, while we were out of town overnight! She was able to accommodate our last-minute booking and asked thoughtful questions beforehand to make sure she understood his routine and needs. Throughout his stay, she sent plenty of photos and updates, took him on multiple walks, and even brought him to a dog park so he could run around and play. We would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
