About: I’ve spent years as a rescue foster and rescue mom, plus years of hands-on dog training experience, which means I’ve cared for dogs from every background, including the anxious ones, the shy ones, the seniors, and dogs with special needs. I don’t discriminate and I treat every dog with the equal and individual TLC, whether they’re a confident goofball or need time to warm up. Reading dog body language and meeting each one where they’re at is second nature to me. My training background means I know how to handle leash pulling, nervous energy, and dogs who need a little structure. I’m comfortable keeping up whatever routine or commands you already use, so your pup stays consistent while you’re away. On top of that, I have hands-on experience with grooming and bathing, so your dog is in good hands if they need a freshen-up during their stay. I’m comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and energy levels, and I take safety seriously. That means careful introductions, watching for the little signs, and never cutting corners when it comes to your dog’s wellbeing. Whether you need daily walks or a place for your pup to stay, I’ve got you. Walks are never rushed, I keep a close eye on the leash and surroundings, and I make sure your dog comes home happy and tired. For overnight or daytime stays, my home is a real home environment, not a kennel- With my two gentle and friendly resident dogs for company, walks, play, and snuggles on the couch. My home is a calm, dog-friendly and enriching space with a beautiful shaded yard and pup pool, comfy furniture they’re fully welcome on, and snuggling is a plus. I have a big fenced yard with a pup pool and two incredibly sweet and gentle 3.5 year old rescue boys who love to share and play! Your dog will be welcome with open arms and paws ❤️ plenty of rooms / space in the house if they need some down time, separation, or their own space to eat etc. They are allowed on all furniture and in bed of course! If your dog is a little weary or shy towards others at first, my boys know that and will give them space and gentle affirmation that this is their home too and they’re ready when they are.

About: I've been responsible for many pets since I was 13 years old and got my first cat. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats. I also have experience in caring for senior pets. I can administer medication, do any post surgery care, recognize behaviors, follow feeding instructions, bathe pets if needed, and clean any kennels/crates. I am also going to Veterinary assistant school in the fall, so your pets will be in good hands that genuinely care about their wellbeing. I'm currently available anytime, day or night. Weekends are also completely open. It will change in September when I get my class schedule but I will most likely still be free during nights and weekends. I stick to the established routine, especially when it comes to feeding and bedtime. If they need a little more playtime I'm happy to run around with them and play like crazy. I will not let them run around unsupervised outside, and I will follow any good behavior reinforcements if specified.

About: Dogs have been part of my whole life. I grew up with two German Shepherds, raised a Yorkie from age 7 until he passed at 17, and currently care for my 12-year-old dog Richie, who is hyperactive, has anxiety, and manages seizures. I know how to keep high-energy dogs calm, stick to medication routines, and create a safe, low-stress environment for dogs who are noise-sensitive or need extra patience. I take my own dog on multiple walks every day, so this just fits right into what I’m already doing. This summer I’m fully free and available any day of the week. Once fall starts I have Fridays and weekends off, so I can still be a consistent walker for your pup. I live in a condo so boarding is only realistic for smaller dogs, but for walks I’m good with any size. I’ve handled dogs with anxiety, seizures, and noise sensitivity my whole life so I know how to stay calm and keep them calm too. I’ll always let you know how the walk went.

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.
