About: I've been responsible for many pets since I was 13 years old and got my first cat. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats. I also have experience in caring for senior pets. I can administer medication, do any post surgery care, recognize behaviors, follow feeding instructions, bathe pets if needed, and clean any kennels/crates. I am also going to Veterinary assistant school in the fall, so your pets will be in good hands that genuinely care about their wellbeing. I'm currently available anytime, day or night. Weekends are also completely open. It will change in September when I get my class schedule but I will most likely still be free during nights and weekends. I stick to the established routine, especially when it comes to feeding and bedtime. If they need a little more playtime I'm happy to run around with them and play like crazy. I will not let them run around unsupervised outside, and I will follow any good behavior reinforcements if specified.

About: I’ve had experience caring for both dogs and cats, although mostly for dogs. I’ve done most of the basics including feeding, taking them to potty, walking, and occasionally bathing. Dogs I’ve cared for include smaller breeds such as jack russells and poodles, and some medium-large golden and labrador retrievers. I have a rambunctious 8-year-old golden retriever and cuddly tuxedo cat of my own. I’m currently working my healthcare day job on Mondays through Fridays, and probably would have the occasional weekday evening free to hang out with your fur baby. Best availability would be on the weekends for longer windows to provide care unless otherwise specified, but I do my best to be as flexible as I can. Depending on the client and the type of home setup they have, I would be able to keep your pup/kitty company inside with lots of cuddles (if they’ll allow them) or help release that energy outside with a walk or simply to give them space for the zoomies. I have now been a rover sitter for 6 years and during my time have met and watched so many different breeds, each with their own quirks and needs. The well being of the dog in my care is the utmost importance. I love to play with them, give plenty of scratches and take them on nice walks in my neighborhood to make sure they're living a happy and healthy life. All pups are kept clean, fed and stress free while they’re here. I'm also almost always home and I live with my family so someone is always here just in case I need to leave the house. Our home is filled with huge animal lovers so your dog will have a good time and be treated just like family :) Honestly I just love dogs so much and know how nerve wracking/stressful it can be leaving your fur baby while you’re away so I make it my priority that they are safe and happy and taken care of so that when it’s time to pick them up they will feel like they were on their own lil vacation too! I work from home so I’m almost always here and can easily take the dogs out when they need or provide playtime but in the rare case that I do need to leave the house I either take the pups with me or a family member stays with them while I leave the house. I live in an apartment that’s pretty secure and closed off, I’ve never had any safety issues with the dogs. In the event that a pup runs out the door, the way my apartment is structured with locks and doors that would keep them from running out of the building

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.
