About: I am 34 years old and have been watching dogs and kitties for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember whenever they would go on vacation or go out of town for work. I just moved to Noho and am ready to watch all fur babies in the surrounding area! I tend to develop great relationships with pups and kitties and have many repeat bookings. I adore all breeds and will not just watch your pets, but go out of my way to interact with them. I think it's important to not just provide them with the necessities but also with love and attention :) Our family has adopted a pandemic pup (doxie mix) named Elle who we love so much. I volunteered at The Humane Society of Bexar County one summer and absolutely fell in love with all the animals I interacted with. I am looking forward to forming a special bond with your animal! “I would give a ten star review if I could. Fantastic family, so caring and compassionate towards animals, especially my old dog, Lady. She has never been left with a sitter before. When I checked around too many places offered to keep her in a crate but she has never been crated before so we did not want that. With this family she had the run of the house and yard and slept on their bed at night which she does at home. My only fear was that at the end of her stay she would not want to leave. But she was glad to come home and during my trip I had peace of mind and no worries that she was in good hands. Highly recommend this family to take care of your dog. I will when I travel again!”

About: My past experience volunteering within the animal shelter system has taught me a great deal about understanding animal communication, behavior, and the importance of building trust. I also had two dogs of my own, my soulmates, who recently passed this year at 15½ and 17 years old. Caring for them throughout every stage of their lives taught me that every animal is different and deserves patience, compassion, and the time to feel safe. I like to go slowly with each animal, pay close attention to their behavior and body language, and respond accordingly. My goal is not only to make your pet feel safe and comfortable, but also to give pet parents peace of mind knowing their baby is in caring and trustworthy hands. About: I've been around animals and helping care for them from a young age, so taking care of pets has always been a natural part of my life. I grew up with a variety of dogs, including Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Shiba Inus, Huskies, and Chihuahuas, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all different sizes, breeds, and personalities! I've also house-sat for dogs that required extra care, including giving oral medications, keeping up with scheduled walks, feeding, and, of course, making sure they get plenty of playtime and attention. My experience isn't limited to dogs either! I've cared for cats overnight and have experience giving oral medications, cleaning litter boxes, keeping up with feeding and fresh water, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I'm also currently a proud cat parent to two beautiful cats of my own, so I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pets. I always try to treat every animal I care for like they're one of my own! I work from home and have flexible hours, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and plenty of attention throughout the day. “This was our first time using Rover for our German Shepard, Axel and Buddy’s Retreat could not have made the experience more perfect! Christine was warm, thorough, and welcoming at our meet and greet. Easing any of our concerns and giving us a run through of a typical day. Drop off was quick and easy- Axel immediately felt at home! The updates were frequent with lots of happy puppy pictures from playing with the other dogs, numerous games of ball and snuggling in his bed. Our pup can even be a finicky eater and they were kind to try different treats to entice him to eat. Upon pickup Axel was the most calm I’ve ever see him after a time away from us.
