About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an LA-based animal lover and proud cat mom to my sweet orange tabby, Jeff. Being a pet parent has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but my love for animals started long before that. I grew up with two golden retrievers, Kona and Maggie, and my family has always joked that I’m the “dog whisperer” because every dog I meet seems to decide we’re best friends. Before joining Rover, I pet sat for family, friends, roommates, and neighbors for years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just having a calm, friendly companion around, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. When you book with me, you can expect reliable care, great communication, lots of photo updates, and someone who will treat your pet like one of their own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have a remote job so my schedule is very flexible and I am typically available to house sit during the week. I usually have plenty of availability over the weekend for walks or drop-ins as well. “Salim and Alexandra were so, so great with my dog Sonic! I was sent plenty of wonderful photos along with updates letting me know how he was doing. They were also quick to notice when something was off with Sonic. His dew claw was unfortunately growing a bit too long and was causing him some pain, but Salim and Alexandra communicated it with me quickly, asked my preference of how I'd like to handle it, and got Sonic seen by my regular vet to take care of it all within about an hour. They were also super understanding when my return flight came in a bit later in the afternoon than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. I am so glad to have booked with sitters that were so invested in Sonic's wellbeing and care, and I cannot recommend them enough.”
