Hi! 👋 I’m Ilana (ill-ana—though like my dogs, I answer to a lot of nicknames). I’m a lifelong animal lover and love getting to know pets and their people. I’m a native Los Angeleno and have explored lots of neighborhood pockets, which makes for great, engaging walks. I built a career in photography, fashion, and e-commerce, but animals have always been a constant. I live with two rescues (one foster fail, obviously) and a cat I rescued as a kitten from under a truck. I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs and cats—different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks—and have walked hundreds of dogs over the past year, building a steady stream of clients. I’m very attuned to each pet’s needs, reliable, and respectful of your routines. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions and tend to send lots of photo updates. I also love photographing your pets, including black-and-white shots I develop in a darkroom! Most importantly, I focus on making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. My neighbors call me the “animal whisperer.” I’ve been around pets my whole life and started working with shelter dogs and cats at 13. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.

Another great dog walking experience with Ilana! She takes great care of my pup, Larry, and the photos she takes of her visits are all keepers! Definitely recommend!
Ilana was so great with my girl Rory! She sent me tons of pictures everyday and very thoughtful updates. She also took time to teach Rory some tricks at the end of the walk and refilled her water bowl. Will definitely be booking with her again!
Ilana took great care of my terrier mix, Larry! She took him on a walk, making sure he visited his favorite spots, said hello to his other dog friends, and took care of his business. When they got home, Ilana spent extra time playing with Larry. Your pet will be in loving hands with Ilana!
Ilana has been amazing with my pup. She handles his quirks and he’s fallen in love with her! She’s been an absolute godsend while I’m unable to do his walks myself and she goes above and beyond caring for him.

Schedule
I’m a freelance creative with a flexible schedule, though my days are often filled with pet care. I do my best to accommodate different routines and can usually find a time that works with a bit of notice. I have two dogs and one cat of my own who need walks, but I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible!
