“LOVE Stephanie. I think Marley gets depressed for a couple of days after she leaves 😀. She constantly sends updates and photos and is very attentive to our old boy. We feel very comfortable having her with him. Highly recommend Stephanie.”

“Summer was happy staying with CJ during my vacation. CJ was responsible and reliable sitter. I would highly recommend him as your dog sitter . And I’ll definitely book him again .”

“Marta was really great with our dog! She came on time and kept him happy! What more could a person ask? I don’t know what to put on dog sitting reviews. This is the first time we used Rover and we would happily rebook with Marta if our foster hadn’t already achieved his dream of a forever home. Lucky him! Maybe she is a good luck charm”

“Jie H was fantastic with our two Labradoodles. She is mature, responsible and really understood my dogs needs. Jie did everything asked of her for the dogs. My dogs loved her. When we arrived home, our dogs ran to greet us, but then went right back to Jie to play and be petted. I highly recommended her. I will definitely use her services again.”

“Jessa was awesome with our puppy. She was accommodating and communicative. She picked up on our puppies cues and preferences right away. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Kate was lovely and Pancake clearly had a great time and was very relaxed with her. Senior dogs can be challenging in their own way but Pancake was in good hands! She picked up this booking last minute as we had a change of plans and was easy to communicate with to coordinate as well as sending cute updates. Sorry about our kitchen sink misbehaving. 😩”

“Travis took great care of our Sadie. We are those paw parents who see our dogs as our fur child. Sadie is still a puppy so leaving her alone all day isn't easy, especially with an unexpexted heat wave. But Travis was responsive and excellent at communicating, we felt at ease leaving her. We appreciate how fexible and accommodating he was to her needs (because of the heat). His pictures made me feel that my baby was being well cared for. I also appreciated knowing Sadie was being looked after by someone who has a lot of experience with dogs. This definetly showed.”

“We had Diane house sit our dog recently and she was great. She diligently followed our instructions and request, and our dog seemed happy and well-cared for. Our house was left spotless as well. We definitely hope to have Diane sit for us again in the future!”

“Sage is my retired Service Dog and has not left my side for 5.5 years. I have been terrified of being apart. However the opportunity arose to have a night away. I found Ghazaal who put me at ease. Just before leaving, I got sick Ghazaal rearranged her calendar to help both Sage and myself out. Couldn't recommend anyone else who is more caring, respectful, and reliable.”

About: I have had two dogs for 16 years. They were both lab mixes, about medium sized dogs. While they were alive, I would walk them three times a week, make sure they had food and water in their bowls, let them outside in my backyard to play and potty, and clean up after them. I have dog-sit for many of my family and family friends. During overnight stays, most times the dogs would come up to cuddle and sleep with me while I chilled on the couch or bed. I am currently a student and am looking for something to make money on the side. I love animals and especially love cats. I am currently living with two cats who are not very sociable when it comes to other animals which is why I would prefer to care your pets in their home environments without the added stress of socializing with two anti-social cats. I am free for house-sitting overnights and the weekends. I have very few classes this semester so we can work out what times and days work best when you reach out for services. I am only looking to care for your pets in their own homes. I will give your pet lots of affection however I am still able to be stern when it comes to dogs misbehaving. I can take your dog on walks and crate them if needed. I am good with a leash and am confident at handling pets on walks, big dogs too. I can clean up after them, whatever end it comes out I can manage with the right tools. If you give me proper instructions and a schedule, I can provide your pet with necessary oral medication and treatment, and if you are willing to give me the training, I can give injections as well. I can also give myself treatment when it comes to cat scratches and bites as I am well versed, as long as your cat is free of all the bad stuff.

About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs growing up as a kid and have looked after friends’ dogs and cats over the years. I genuinely love taking care of animals and giving them the love they deserve to be happy. I currently work as a personal trainer, but with the slow pace of summer I need to supplement with a second part time job. I can care for pets in the middle of the day in between clients and in the mornings and evenings depending on the day. I will follow all of the owner’s instructions when taking care of their pet. I want to not only provide a quality service, but ensure both the owner and pet will be safe and comfortable.

“I knew she would be great when she came to our house for a "meet and greet", brought a cat toy and immediately started playing with our two babies. I was not wrong - they were wlel cared for, well fed and most importantly, well loved.”

“Gulnur was amazing and Shona loved her ! She is communicative , punctual, responsive and above all very caring . Shona and I loved having her stay at home, and hope she will stay over again in the future.”

“Devin did an excellent job taking care of Molly and Matrix. He followed all the instructions and took care of the house as well. He sent regular updates and stayed late until we returned from our 12 day vacation. My two Havanese pups do not do well when I am away but with Devin’s care they did great. Devin gave them extra attention when needed and I could see how comfortable they were with Devin when I returned. I highly recommend Devin for any pet and house sitting jobs.”

“Allyn house sit my my puppy and he absolutely loved her. She gave him lots of attention, walked him frequently and sent lots of pictures. My pup has epilepsy which requires timely medication administration and preparedness if there’s an episode. She treated his condition with the same seriousness I do, which is rare. She’s great and will be looking after Beurre again soon.”

About: Hello! My name is Shayna, I am excited to be able to watch your pets or let them out for a walk or potty break. I absolutely love animals. I grew up with many different types of animals; including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, birds - we even had tadpoles at one point. I currently have three dogs and one cat. I am very involved with the training of the dogs and I compete in dog sports with them. I have two Belgian Malinois and a Shephard/Husky. I worked as a dog trainer for a few years and loved getting to work with all types of dogs and help them with their training goals. Working as a trainer and doing dog sports requires a lot of knowledge of different breeds and dog behavior. Belgain Malinois are high energy, working dogs and need a lot of activity and mental stimulation on a daily basis. I also have experience giving medication orally and injections, taking care of senior dogs and puppies, pets recovering from surgery or sedation, and aggressive behavior. I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule to be able to do check-ins, potty breaks, walks or house/pet sit. I am currently working from home and have a very flexible schedule to be able to come and play with your fur babies. I am okay with same day or last minute requests. I will come to your house to take care of your pets. This keeps them feeling safe and less stressed to be able to stay in their own environment. I will double check and make sure all your instructions have been followed to ensure the safety of your pets and myself.

“Tay did a great job as always! This sit was over the 4th of July and one of my pups gets freaked out by fireworks and Tay volunteered to spend a lot of extra time with her to keep her calm.”

“Anne did an amazing job with all of our instructions and with keeping my partner and I updated on how our pup was doing while dog sitting. She was on top of a recent hot spot my dog developed and took measures to make sure it healed. Anne brought a ton of peace of mind and took excellent care of our pup and home.”

Sunnyvale pet parents share their Rover experiences
Our long time dog watcher/house sitter moved away so we had to find someone who would be able to pass muster with our Malamute, a notorious hard sell. We didn't need to worry after all. Kayla was able to win him over, well, at his pace, but she stuck with him. She sent lots of pictures, and even videos, so I could see how quickly he was warming up. Kayla did a great job!

Stephanie was great! It was our first time using Rover and we booked her to house sit and watch our small dog Lola for the weekend. I am so glad we chose Stephanie because she made our first Rover experience so easy and comfortable. She sent frequent updates/photos and did everything we asked her to do - in fact she went above & beyond with multiple walks each day! Lola was very happy and spoiled all weekend. Can’t wait to book Stephanie again!

We highly recommend Moeka as a pet sitter! She was fantastic with our dog, Disco. She has a very gentle and kind demeanor, and it was clear that Disco felt comfortable and happy in her care. We loved receiving regular updates, which were very reassuring. It's safe to say Disco would be ecstatic to see her again, and well definitely be rebooking!

I am so glad I found Marta, and can't wait to have her stay with Simon again. She sent me pictures and updates every day, she left the house super clean, Simon loved her (he is a bit hesitant with new people), and I felt very comfortable with her. She is awesome!

Logan took great care of our pets and our home! He was patient and calm with our slightly reactive dog, communicated promptly to let us know ants had appeared in our home and ask how we would like him to handle the situation, and he even watered some of our plants for us and helped us when we forgot some laundry in the dryer. We would be happy to ask Logan to sit for us again, if he’s available!

Kate is a very pleasant and uplifting lady who has a natural instinct about dogs. She is responsive and timely. She followed all our instructions for taking care of our dog and house. She was in tune to my dogs needs and kept me informed. I have complete confidence in her abilities to dog and house sit. We are so happy to have found her!

Vivian was an absolute lifesaver for our little nervous little guy, Disco. He can be very anxious, but she handled him with so much patience and warmth. She quickly helped him settle into a happy routine filled with walks and snuggles. We could tell he felt safe and happy with her. Highly recommend Vivian to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy dog sitter.

Andrew and Veronica took great care of our dog and house for two weeks! Our dog was showered with attention as Andrew works from home. We got regular updates and photos, and appreciated that our dog was happy and followed her daily routine. 0ur home was clean and the plants watered, and Andrew even offered to do some grocery shopping for us before we came back. They went above and beyond, and we would be happy to have them sit again!

Mia was so patient and gentle with our nervous dog, Hiruko. Mia stayed for two weeks looking after Hiruko and our cat, Ella. She sent pictures and videos every day. And we came back to a spotless apartment and two very happy pets. We look forward to working with Mia again in future!
