“This was our first time with Rover, and Luca loved Skyler from the minute he met him at our meet-and-greet! Skyler is a natural with him and comes fully prepared to best take care of your pup! Couldn't be more pleased.”

“John was amazing with our two pups! He saved our trip by agreeing last minute to help out. He provided great updates, he was very thorough and detailed and he showed a great deal of care for the dogs! Would highly recommend him to anyone!”

About: Hi! I’m a full-time professional and lifelong animal lover who enjoys spending my free time caring for pets. I understand how important it is to know your furry family members are in good hands, and I treat every pet with the same care, patience, and attention I would give my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work full time, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time before and after work, as well as on weekends, to caring for pets. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so walks, playtime, feeding, and providing companionship are activities I genuinely look forward to. I make it a priority to be reliable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs to ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and supervision while keeping their environment clean and safe. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can relax and feel at home. I ensure they have access to fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of affection. I pay close attention to each pet's personality and needs, whether they prefer active play or a quieter environment, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family.
“Alexandra was amazing with my cat, River. She understands cats so well and understands their various quirks and behaviors and handled River extremely well. She followed all instructions perfectly and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend her for any cat sitting and would love to book with her again in the future!”

“Sarina was attentive and took great photos for us in her first time sitting our two cats. We greatly appreciated her staying around for more than just a five minute feeding and spending time with them.”

“Cliff is the absolute best. Highly highly recommend Cliff with all pet needs. Our puppy has some health concerns and Cliff let us know immediately. He is fair and well worth the price. He is our number 1 choice in pet care. He is attentive, caring, and responsive. We trust him with our 3 furbabies. 💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡”

“Julia was great with our 4 dogs and 2 cats. She made smart suggestions and helped out with our schedule and was very flexible for last minute weekend visits. The animals absolutely Love her!”

About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.
“Sanya did a great job caring for my cats while I was out of town. I was worried my cats would be anxious and timid with someone new but they were very comfortable around Sanya. It was so encouraging to see them quickly warm up to her and have a nice time while I was away!”

“Jennifer was a wonderful pet sitter for Zuzu. She came on time, spent a lot of time playing with her and fed her special food as requested. Highly recommend Jennifer and will definitely use her again!”

About: Hello! I am a student at the University of South Wales doing my bachelor's in Wildlife Ecology Conservation. Im looking for petsitting/dog walking work while Im here through september. Im an aspiring veterinarian and have cared for anything domestic like dogs, cats, birds, or rabbits and exotics like hedgehogs, lions, and elephants. Please let me know if you need any animal care this summer! Im affordable and flexible ❤️🐶🐘 Im currently on school break and taking summer online classes. I love high energy dogs to join me on local hikes and long walks or low energy dogs to keep me company on the couch or while I work on my online classes. Im flexible! How I manage your pet depends on their personality. If theyre a cuddle bug theyll be right there with me all the time, but if they prefer their own space I'll keep them company from the other room
“Lindsey did a great job, taking care of our dog and cats! We contacted her on short notice and she came and did a meet and greet and understood what we needed done. When we arrived home we had a happy pup, who had received his meditations, and cats who didn’t care that we left or came home.😂”

“My dogs were the harpies dogs in the world with Marcia, she did an amazing job & even make it so I could pay in 2 parts instead of all at once (which really helped us out), she's just amazing & I won't hesitate to book her again, I wouldn't trust my babies to anyone else!!”

“Rasha took great care of our pets as usual. She’s so responsive and always lets us know how our pets are doing while we’re away. Our dog gets so excited when she sees Rasha, so I know that she gives extra care and attention.”

“Ana was great at taking of my cats. She was responsive while setting up times, and she did all that was asked of her during visits. My cats missed me while I was gone, but they were cared for and comfortable. Would book again!”

We ( us & the cats) love Lissa! We can feel at ease when we have to be away from home when Lissa is dropping in to see the cats. The cats seem to enjoy her company as well. She sends daily pics and updates on how everything is going, we hope to have her come in the future!

Zari is amazing! A true gem! I was really nervous about leaving my kitties, who are shy and hide from everyone, but Zari’s unmatched patience deserves 5 stars. It was a challenging weeks since my cats were hiding in a different spot, but Zari always went the extra mile by checking on them twice a day on some days and sending detailed updates and photos, giving us immense peace of mind while traveling. On top of that, she made time to clean the cats’ room and area and making sure that the cats were getting nutrition and using the litter box. She is a cat lover through and through. I cannot recommend her services enough.❤️

Victoria is truly the cat whisperer. I cannot recommend her enough. We needed someone to feed them while we were out and my kitties are always happy, well cared for, and comfortable when we come home, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. Our cats are also super shy, but with Victoria they come out to say hi. I also really appreciate is her communication. She consistently sends thoughtful updates and pictures, which always brighten my day and reassure me that they’re doing well.

June was a reliable and trustworthy caregiver for our 2 cats for 6 days. They're shy and didn't warm up to a stranger in that short time but we never worried about them or our home; the cats were fed and clean and safe, we received daily photos and reports, and June even cleaned one cat's throw-up from a rug and called us in real time when one cat was hiding (he promptly showed himself the next day). Our home was respected and secure as well. Thanks June!

Lindsey did a great job, taking care of our dog and cats! We contacted her on short notice and she came and did a meet and greet and understood what we needed done. When we arrived home we had a happy pup, who had received his meditations, and cats who didn’t care that we left or came home.😂

Marcia did an amazing job watching my 2 cats while I was away for a weekend. She shared a lot of pictures showing them getting playtime, being fed, litterbox status, and water bowl status, and also videos. She also made time very quickly to accommodate my last minute request so we were able to have a meet and greet beforehand. Marcia was very prompt and showed up on time for every scheduled drop-in, and followed instructions to a "T". She was also kind enough to bring packages in without being asked, so they didn't sit out while I was gone.

I will definitely request Rasha the next time i need pet care. At our first meeting my dog jumped right next to her on the sofa as if she knew her! This first experience with Rasha caring for my cat was so reassuring. She provided pictures of Bari with each visit. I really appreciated those pictures and could see that Bari was being well taken care of by Rasha. Accompanying the pictures were little bits of information about how was acting or eating. He was welcoming to her visits! I’m very pleased with her care and trust her judgment with my pets. I will definitely contact Rasha to care for my pets when needed.
Skylar has been amazing with our cats. He’s taken care of them several times, including during the busy holiday season, and always shows so much patience, care, and genuine love for them. We feel completely at ease knowing our cats are in such good hands. Highly recommend Skylar! Thank you, Skylar—we truly appreciate your help always!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sugarland Run. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
