About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my calm, patient, and gentle approach to each dog. I pay close attention to their body language, needs, and comfort. I'm especially good with puppies who need gentle guidance and basic training, as well as with older dogs who require more leisurely walks, extra care, and a loving, comforting presence. I treat every pet as if it were my own, with the same kindness, respect, and affection I would want for my own. I recently moved and have free time since I have online classes during the week on alternate schedules, so I have time to play with your little ones and shower them with warmth and attention. Within my family, three of them are a furry friend named Balu who is 7 years old, a cat named Copito who is 6 years old, and a kitten named Lucas who is 5 years old. I am used to taking care of them and keeping them under constant supervision, not only in their diet but also in their physical and emotional well-being.

About: I have been pet-sitting since I was a military-brat in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’ve continued to pet-sit and walk dogs off and on since moving to Nova in 2011. I’ve grown up mostly around dogs, but am just as fond of cats. I’ve also been in the childcare field for many years, from being a private nanny, to working as a Lead Teacher at a daycare. I’m good at staying calm in stressful situations, and always try my best to make others feel comfortable. My favorite thing about pet sitting is getting to see the big personalities people’s pets have. Throughout my years of pet sitting I’ve cared for everything from multiple Great Danes at once, houses full of cats, dogs , saltwater fish (and even shrimp). I’ve also got experience caring for senior dogs & puppies. I am currently transitioning out of childcare, and am looking forward to filling my weeks with more walks, drop-ins, and sits! I’m usually available for walks mornings-afternoons. I always make sure to treat my clients spaces with respect and leave their homes as clean, or even tidier, than I came to them. I like to send updates (pics, videos, and messages) throughout my services. I prefer open communication, and am not afraid to ask questions if it helps my clients and myself have a safer and more comfortable experience.
“Cliff was fantastic watching our cat for the week. He came by on schedule and helped her out during his visits with food, water, and litter. pleased with his effort to send pictures each visit too. Thanks Cliff”

“Abigail took great care of Cinders and Pepper whole their owners were away for the weekend. She followed all care instructions, gave them their medications, and spent a good deal of time with them so they didn't get lonely. We'll definitely think of Abigail again for next time!”

“Brooke was amazing. She watched my cats and place perfectly. Did amazing updates and pictures. She went above any other rover person I’ve had before. Will for sure use again.”

“First time using Rover, and Olga was amazing! Frequently kept me updated on Coopers status, including plenty of pics. Had the schedule this last minute and on Thanksgiving Day, and Olga was more than happy to help. Will definitely use her again in the future, and highly recommend.”

“Skylar has been a great companion for our Treeing Walker Coon Hound, Sawyer. Skylar went to great lengths to make Sawyer happy and cared for. He sent pictures and texts 3 times a day to keep our family happy. I’m so glad that Sawyer was with such talented hands.”

“Rasha took great care of our pets as usual. She’s so responsive and always lets us know how our pets are doing while we’re away. Our dog gets so excited when she sees Rasha, so I know that she gives extra care and attention.”

“Marcia did an amazing job watching my 2 cats while I was away for a weekend. She shared a lot of pictures showing them getting playtime, being fed, litterbox status, and water bowl status, and also videos. She also made time very quickly to accommodate my last minute request so we were able to have a meet and greet beforehand. Marcia was very prompt and showed up on time for every scheduled drop-in, and followed instructions to a "T". She was also kind enough to bring packages in without being asked, so they didn't sit out while I was gone.”

“Lindsey did a great job, taking care of our dog and cats! We contacted her on short notice and she came and did a meet and greet and understood what we needed done. When we arrived home we had a happy pup, who had received his meditations, and cats who didn’t care that we left or came home.😂”

“Yekaterina is awesome! Friendly, responsive, communicative and especially kind and caring to our elderly girl, Mamie. We really appreciate Kat and hope we can work with her regularly. The next time we might decide to a weekend trip instead of only a day away and we can rest assured that our girl will be well cared for! Kat is A+!”

“Alexandra was amazing with my cat, River. She understands cats so well and understands their various quirks and behaviors and handled River extremely well. She followed all instructions perfectly and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend her for any cat sitting and would love to book with her again in the future!”

About: I am a caring and dependable pet lover who enjoys spending time with animals and making sure that they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I have experience caring for pets by feeding them, taking them for walks, and playing with them. Additionally, I provide them with plenty of attention and affection while understanding their unique personality and routine. I have a genuine love for animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. I would love to care for your pet while you are away, and you can count on me to provide a safe and trustworthy experience. I am available most Wednesdays, and usually every Thursday and Friday as well as flexibility on the weekends. I have a hybrid work schedule and can often wiggle around my schedule which gives me great flexibility and options for pet care. When caring for pets in my clients’ home, I would try my best to follow their usual routines as closely as possible so that pets feel comfortable and secure. I make it a point to ensure that they have freshwater food and plenty of exercise and playtime. I also respect my clients’ home by keeping everything clean, secure, and organized.
“Sanya did a great job caring for my cats while I was out of town. I was worried my cats would be anxious and timid with someone new but they were very comfortable around Sanya. It was so encouraging to see them quickly warm up to her and have a nice time while I was away!”

About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.
“Sarina was patient with me, getting the fob and key for my place as I hadn't done this before, which I really appreciated. She was worried about my cats the whole time and loved on them lots when she finally got to see them. Loved the photos and updates too! Look forward to having Sarina drop-in again!”

About: Huge lover of dogs and puppies of all sizes and breeds! I grew up with family dogs and fostered dogs throughout college; it was a super rewarding and FUN experience. I’ve dealt with shy dogs, dogs with anxiety and pups as young as 6 weeks. Eventually I adopted my own and I can now say I’ve spent hours on end at dog parks. I am a happy owner of a 8 year old mix named Tucker and 4 year old golden retriever puppy named Skye. My husband and I as a team will both be responsible for your fur babies so you get 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! We would love to meet, care and play with your pup and I'm sure our dogs will too. Just to note: Tucker is weary with humans and will bark his head off the second he sees a PERSON he doesn’t know... but other than that, he has no problems with other dogs and would love to hang out with yours! My work schedule changes weekly based on my team's attendance that week, but typically I am in the office Mon-Thurs. On days I’m in the office, I’m gone from about 9am–4:30pm. We have a pet cam set up for when we are hosting other dogs so that we are able to monitor them sleeping on the couch all day. If your dog is house-trained and/or crate-trained and is comfortable being in a calm environment, they are welcome to come hang out with Tucker and Skye during the day! As soon as me or my husband are home from work, we’re back to playing, going on walks around the neighborhood, or heading to the dog park. On days I work from home, your pup will get tons of attention. There’s lots of playtime with my dogs and walks throughout the day. We live in a super dog-friendly area with plenty of walking paths and parks, so there’s always something to do. When your dog stays with me you can expect: 1. A team of 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! (my husband & I) 2. Lots of play with our two dogs 2. Walks around the neighborhood 3. Photo updates to show that you’re dog is happy, comfy and settling in okay! A couple things to note: 1. We have 2 dogs in the house currently (your dog must get along with other dogs). Both our dogs are typically low-key and just laze around with us, but they are also always ready to walk and play at all times. 2. We have a (small) fenced patio area out back for them to potty and be outside. They will have plenty of space inside and outside to play with each other, however, since we don't have a full yard, your dog(s) will join ours on our neighborhood walks.
“Jessica is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, she’s super helpful with being flexible around my weird work schedule and Jacks always seems to be in a great mood after a visit from her.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sugarland Run
We are so pleased to write a review for Marcia! She remembered every detail that we shared with her about caring for our sweet kitty, Coco. She was conscientious, and arrived on time, telling us about each visit and sending photos and videos. Coco is a kitty who likes to hide from her sitters, but she made an exception for Marcia. We are looking forward to having her sit for us in the future.
Michelle was very attentive to my cat, Pepita, while we were on vacation. She made Pepita feel comfortable, and we loved receiving all the photos and updates from each visit. It gave us peace of mind knowing Pepita was in such caring hands. We would definitely book Michelle again!

Ashley was fantastic with my kitty! I really appreciate her last minute availability, flexibility, and her responsiveness. She really went the extra mile to make sure that my entitled kitty did not feel too lonely while we were out of town! Great service and definitely recommend Ashley to others looking for a sitter!

Victoria is truly the cat whisperer. I cannot recommend her enough. We needed someone to feed them while we were out and my kitties are always happy, well cared for, and comfortable when we come home, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. Our cats are also super shy, but with Victoria they come out to say hi. I also really appreciate is her communication. She consistently sends thoughtful updates and pictures, which always brighten my day and reassure me that they’re doing well.

June was a reliable and trustworthy caregiver for our 2 cats for 6 days. They're shy and didn't warm up to a stranger in that short time but we never worried about them or our home; the cats were fed and clean and safe, we received daily photos and reports, and June even cleaned one cat's throw-up from a rug and called us in real time when one cat was hiding (he promptly showed himself the next day). Our home was respected and secure as well. Thanks June!

Lindsey did a great job, taking care of our dog and cats! We contacted her on short notice and she came and did a meet and greet and understood what we needed done. When we arrived home we had a happy pup, who had received his meditations, and cats who didn’t care that we left or came home.😂

I will definitely request Rasha the next time i need pet care. At our first meeting my dog jumped right next to her on the sofa as if she knew her! This first experience with Rasha caring for my cat was so reassuring. She provided pictures of Bari with each visit. I really appreciated those pictures and could see that Bari was being well taken care of by Rasha. Accompanying the pictures were little bits of information about how was acting or eating. He was welcoming to her visits! I’m very pleased with her care and trust her judgment with my pets. I will definitely contact Rasha to care for my pets when needed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sugarland Run. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
