“Sanya is an amazing cat/house sitter! She braved terrible snow and ice conditions to stay with our Pretty, feed our birds, and salt our doorstep, and she sent us lots of pictures so we could see how happy and comfortable Pretty was (including one of a blissful Pretty after her evening brushing)! She cares for our cat like we do, and we are so grateful.”

“Almendra was fantastic, she was very responsive and took great care of my dogs while away... I appreciate the pictures from walks or meals and updates throughout the day. Definitely made my trip less stressful, I know who to contact if I need someone to check in or stay with my pups. ?”

“Allegra constantly exceeds expectations and alleviates any anxieties I have about leaving my dogs for several days at a time. She is responsive and great with the dogs and house. I'll never book another dog sitter if Allegra is available!”

“Jenna was responsive, sweet and took great care of our 6 year old golden foodie and our new 4 month old chocolate laborer!! They loved her and when we got hone, they were both happy, tired and relaxed! I highly recommend Jenna!”

“Rosemary was incredibly easy to work with to schedule our meet and greet and travel dates. Our dogs and cats immediately took to her. Rosemary sent many pictures while we were away. All of our pets were happy and well cared for while we were away.”

“Julia is awesome! She did in-home pet-sitting for my dog and cat for a week while I was traveling. She clearly loves animals and has a lot of experience with them. My critters warmed up to her right away. I felt so much peace of mind that she was with them while I was away. Julia was understanding about my pets' quirks and behavior challenges and paid attention to all the details that come with caring for them. She is great about communication and sent me updates and pictures. I would/will absolutely work with Julia again and recommend her to anyone looking for pet care!”

About: Experience caring for neighborhood dogs and cats, including walking, feeding, and playing. Former associate of Petsmart’s Pet Hotel. There, I cared for boarded dogs individually and by surveying doggie day camps (groups of 10-15 dogs). I also cared for cats staying at Petsmart. Morning, afternoon, and evening availability during the week. Full availability on weekends. However, willing to adapt and provide the best care possible for your pets. I live with three well-behaved cats that are well-fed and well played with. When dogsitting for others, I follow the owners guidelines and have experience in walking, fenced yard time, and crating.
“Thanks to Skylar for giving ALL the attention to our very needy pup with anxiety. Our dog Logan had a great time while we were away and was in great hands with so many walks and care.”

“This was my first time booking with Melinda and she exceeded all our needs, especially when my dog had a bad day health wise. I took the longest vacation in my adult life and overseas as well, she gave me peace of mind I needed to enjoy my trip. 1000% would rebook and recommend her wholeheartedly.”

“Magdalena did an amazing job taking care of my Dog and two cats! They loved her so much they were sorry to see her go! She kept me informed with photos and check-ins throughout some holiday travel. I can’t recommend her enough! Book with confidence!”

“Dayana was amazing! If you are looking for a sweet, responsible, and caring dog lover Dayana is it! We had no worries of her pet sitting our dog at our house while we were on vacation for 5 days. We had updates and photos during the week and our dog was very happy. She left the house clean and in order. Thank you Dayana for a great and wonderful first time experience!”

“We can't say enough great things about Rasha. She keeps us up to date, and sends lots of pictures. The way she talks about our dog shows us that she is not only taking care of her, but that she generally cares about her. That is such a comfort. She takes great care of the house too. We come home to a tidy house and a happy dog. She even thoughtfully offered to water the outdoor planters.”

About: I’ve worked at a pet hotel for 3 years now and absolutely love it! I also have many years of experience doing pet sitting in others homes. I also am a volunteer at my local animal shelter and walk and take out dogs for the day multiple times a week. Currently I have a part time job, so before and after work your pet will be my first priority. I am used to very early mornings, so waking up for your furry friend is not a problem. I have no dogs or cats a home any longer, so the house is safe as can be. I also have a fenced in backyard for those looking for safety and a place for your pupper to run around.
“Jennifer did great with Lambeau! Her experience with dogs like Lambeau (who has back issues along with other complications) made us comfortable as she knew what she was dealing with from the start. Would highly recommend her to anyone I know!”

“Vinnie did a great job with Stax, our dog. He was courteous in his communication and Stax immediately responded to his calm demeanor. Looking forward to booking Vinnie again soon!”

“Ana was great! It was a last minute booking and she asked all the right questions to make me feel comfortable leaving my dogs. She spent so much time with them and followed all of my (many) instructions to a tee. Very much recommend!”

I’m currently working part-time during the week from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, but I am available before and after that time. I have open availability on the weekends! I am happy to provide overnight care during the week and on weekends as long as I am still able to commute to work in the mornings. About: I've been a cat parent all my life, and all-around animal lover. Now, I have two dogs (Damon and Matcha) and two kitties at home, all rescues. About half the time, I also volunteer to foster puppies that need homes, so I'm very experienced with dogs of all ages. Serving the Sterling area; I live across the street from Claude Moore park and love to explore the trails with four-legged friends. Summertime makes for the most gorgeous pictures, and I love capturing your fur babies on camera! I love all breeds, especially if they have good manners, but larger and more playful dogs will have the best time playing with my 3-year-old dog, Matcha. Caring for fur-babies is currently my full-time job, whether that's customers, fosters, or my own brood. I love all size dogs and cats! Most of the time, when I come into your home, your animals will let me know what their routine is! But specific instructions will help me out a lot too and are always appreciated.

Meadow was amazing with Rex! She provided us with updates while we were away and took great care of Rex. When we came home, we could tell he was very happy and Meadow had taken care of everything including when Rex felt a little sick. Would happily have Meadow look after our pup anytime!

Very attentive and kept me well informed. Miss Muffin can be anxious and V did everything she could to make sure Muffin felt safe, reassured, and comfortable. Muffin doesn’t usually like men but also took very well to her partner. 10/10 would send Miss English Muffin back

Rachael was absolutely outstanding! From the moment she accepted the booking, she was incredibly responsive and communicative. Throughout the three days she cared for Parker, she kept me updated regularly, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She took Parker on multiple walks each day, made sure she was well cared for, and clearly treated her as if she were her own. When I returned home, everything was in perfect condition—my home was exactly as I had left it. Rachael is a true professional and an easy 10 out of 10. Reliable, trustworthy, caring, and attentive, she exceeded every expectation. I will absolutely be using her again and consider her my go-to pet care provider from here on out. Highly recommend!

Jennifer was fantastic with our dog Stella during our week away. Before the stay, she came by for a meet-and-greet and took a very thorough inventory of Stella’s routine, medications, and care needs. As owners of a dog with an autoimmune disorder that requires daily medication, that attention to detail gave us tremendous peace of mind. Throughout the week, we received daily updates and photos, and it was clear Stella was having a great time! We came home to a very happy dog and a spotless house. We’re so grateful for Jennifer’s care and professionalism and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!!

We can't say enough great things about Rasha. She keeps us up to date, and sends lots of pictures. The way she talks about our dog shows us that she is not only taking care of her, but that she generally cares about her. That is such a comfort. She takes great care of the house too. Rebecca is literally the best! She took care of my baby when she wasn’t feeling well even got her some rice and took her to a park. I don’t trust a lot of people but I trust Rebecca so much with my fur baby as I have to rely a lot of others helping me out, so again thank you so much! She my top sitter !

Grace was fantastic! She house sat our dog who can be a bit anxious but she immediately warmed up to Grace. Grace was on time, quick to reply, sent cute pics, and left our house in great condition. We would recommend her to anyone and hope she can watch our dog again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Sugarland Run
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Sugarland Run on Rover is $61.61 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 10,257 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sugarland Run. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sugarland Run walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sugarland Run maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sugarland Run choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sugarland Run. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
