I love taking the dogs on long walks and know of great trails nearby my house and I also understand that some dogs need time to warm up to new people, so I always make sure to approach them calmly, be patient and help them feel comfortable and safe.

If the dog has certain habits that I should be aware of or if they are dog agressive so I can make sure to be extra careful when walking them around other dogs.
A typical day
Depending on whether the dog likes other dogs or not I could take them to the dog park and if they don’t like other dogs I can always throw the ball and play with them or take them on a nice walk. If they are an older dog I can just give them as much attention as they want.

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs my entire life and have taken care of my friends and neighbors dogs whenever they need a dog sitter. I also worked at Olde Towne Pet Resort for two years working with both dogs and cats. I also worked at Pender Veterinary Centre for two years, where I administer treatment and care of dogs, cats, and even exotic animals!

Julia is awesome! She did in-home pet-sitting for my dog and cat for a week while I was traveling. She clearly loves animals and has a lot of experience with them. My critters warmed up to her right away. I felt so much peace of mind that she was with them while I was away. Julia was understanding about my pets' quirks and behavior challenges and paid attention to all the details that come with caring for them. She is great about communication and sent me updates and pictures. I would/will absolutely work with Julia again and recommend her to anyone looking for pet care!
