Leslie was loving, caring and she treated Frances, my terrier-dachshund with the closest and kindest attention—plenty of walks, balanced diet, happy human company to sleep with when she desired, and various places to rest—so Leslie passed those all those important measures.She also sent me photographs with comments fairly often, which delighted me and made me know that Frances was safe and happy! But then, of Great value was the fact that she always could find positive human companionship—her cousin came, and let Frances and another dog, sleep on his knee, looking utterly content, her roommate really liked Frances and showed it, and Leslie did too. AND there was always her dog, and then occasionally a neighbor’s dog or another client’s dog visiting for a number of hours. That was Heaven for Frances, and just what I was hoping for. A place where Frances could be, as Leslie put it, a member of a pack. NOT a large, in any way overwhelming pack, but a small pack, consisting of one or two or conceivably three other dogs, which she could be with. About: In my experience, cats are much more comfortable in their own homes, with visits from a caretaker person. I have had cats and been around cats all my life. I understand cats and won’t push them to be friendly if that’s not the cat’s personality. Kittens are another matter entirely. Please know that if they are destructive or high-energy, that is going to be a problem.

About: I have been pet-sitting since I was a military-brat in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’ve continued to pet-sit and walk dogs off and on since moving to Nova in 2011. I’ve grown up mostly around dogs, but am just as fond of cats. I’ve also been in the childcare field for many years, from being a private nanny, to working as a Lead Teacher at a daycare. I’m good at staying calm in stressful situations, and always try my best to make others feel comfortable. My favorite thing about pet sitting is getting to see the big personalities people’s pets have. Throughout my years of pet sitting I’ve cared for everything from multiple Great Danes at once, houses full of cats, dogs , saltwater fish (and even shrimp). “Carey is AMAZING. We had our meet and greet before the actual drop ins and she was so kind to both my dog and cat. You can tell an animal person when they baby talk your pets just like you do and that’s the kind of person I want taking care of my pets! She’s very easy to talk to and just very genuine. Because of my cats special needs with medication, Carey had to drop in twice a day to administer them and she made sure to give him lots of love while doing so. I got a ton of pictures and a very detailed rover card each time she was over and I loved the pictures, my little cat seemed so happy to see her. Given his health, it’s been a bit stressful when and if we do have to leave him alone but I’m glad I found Carey! Will definitely be having her take care of moo again if needed in the future.”

About: I've been cat and dog sitting since 2016, staying at friends and family members' homes to provide care for pets while they're away. From that experience, I've learned about feeding, walking, and giving attention to each pet's needs. I'm always curious to learn more about them and being a reliable pet sitter for the family. I also like to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I work fully remote. Sometimes, I go in the office if needed, but my schedule is pretty flexible. I work from home, so your dog won't be alone for long stretches. Comfortable with puppies, senior dogs with special needs, and everything in between. For walks, I'll stick to whatever route and pace your dog is used to, and I'll let you know how it went. Happy to set up a free meet-and-greet before booking anything. My schedule is completely my own so I can tailor my day to what your dog is used to. Our usual routine is a walk/run in the morning and a walk with the whole family in the evening. Dorothy is crate trained and so can be right next to your dog to keep them company. I have a good sized yard where I can let the dogs out on leashes and a fenced in deck if they want to be outside. I live 5 minutes from an animal hospital and am used to the random ailments that come with taking care of dogs.

About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. About: Huge lover of dogs and puppies of all sizes and breeds! I grew up with family dogs and fostered dogs throughout college; it was a super rewarding and FUN experience. I’ve dealt with shy dogs, dogs with anxiety and pups as young as 6 weeks. Eventually I adopted my own and I can now say I’ve spent hours on end at dog parks. I am a happy owner of a 8 year old mix named Tucker and 4 year old golden retriever puppy named Skye. My husband and I as a team will both be responsible for your fur babies so you get 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! We would love to meet, care and play with your pup and I'm sure our dogs will too. Just to note: Tucker is weary with humans and will bark his head off the second he sees a PERSON he doesn’t know... but other than that, he has no problems with other dogs and would love to hang out with yours! My work schedule changes weekly based on my team's attendance that week, but typically I am in the office Mon-Thurs. On days I’m in the office, I’m gone from about 9am–4:30pm. We have a pet cam set up for when we are hosting other dogs so that we are able to monitor them sleeping on the couch all day. If your dog is house-trained and/or crate-trained and is comfortable being in a calm environment, they are welcome to come hang out with Tucker and Skye during the day! As soon as me or my husband are home from work, we’re back to playing, going on walks around the neighborhood, or heading to the dog park. On days I work from home, your pup will get tons of attention. There’s lots of playtime with my dogs and walks throughout the day. We live in a super dog-friendly area with plenty of walking paths and parks, so there’s always something to do. When your dog stays with me you can expect: 1. A team of 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! (my husband & I) 2. Lots of play with our two dogs 2. Walks around the neighborhood 3. Photo updates to show that you’re dog is happy, comfy and settling in okay! A couple things to note: 1. We have 2 dogs in the house currently (your dog must get along with other dogs). We have a (small) fenced patio area out back for them to potty and be outside. They will have plenty of space inside and outside to play with each other, however, since we don't have a full yard, your dog(s) will join ours on our neighborhood walks.

About: I’ve dog sat for friends and family off and on for most of my life, but within the last couple years I’ve started to branch out more. In the last couple years I’ve spent almost as much time away from home taking care of other people’s dogs as I have at my own place.
