About: I have been pet-sitting since I was a military-brat in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’ve continued to pet-sit and walk dogs off and on since moving to Nova in 2011. I’ve grown up mostly around dogs, but am just as fond of cats. I’ve also been in the childcare field for many years, from being a private nanny, to working as a Lead Teacher at a daycare. About: In my experience, cats are much more comfortable in their own homes, with visits from a caretaker person. I have had cats and been around cats all my life. I understand cats and won’t push them to be friendly if that’s not the cat’s personality. Kittens are another matter entirely. Please know that if they are destructive or high-energy, that is going to be a problem.

About: I've had pets my whole life and know how much it matters to leave yours somewhere you trust. Your dog will be part of the household here — not crated in a back room — with plenty of attention, a regular routine, and photo updates so you know how the day is going. A few things to know about my setup: I have a yard, but it isn't fenced, so all potty breaks and outdoor time are leashed and supervised. Never off-leash. I have one dog of my own, a friendly female Bernedoodle named Dorothy. She's good with other dogs, and I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone gets along. I work from home, so your dog won't be alone for long stretches. Comfortable with puppies, senior dogs with special needs, and everything in between. For walks, I'll stick to whatever route and pace your dog is used to, and I'll let you know how it went. Happy to set up a free meet-and-greet before booking anything. My schedule is completely my own so I can tailor my day to what your dog is used to. Our usual routine is a walk/run in the morning and a walk with the whole family in the evening. Dorothy is crate trained and so can be right next to your dog to keep them company. I have a good sized yard where I can let the dogs out on leashes and a fenced in deck if they want to be outside. I live 5 minutes from an animal hospital and am used to the random ailments that come with taking care of dogs.

In those instances, I usually let the dog roam around and potty first, and if they want to play afterwards then I try to tire them out with some games before going back in. Either way, I don’t like to leave them in the yard alone in case of anything, even with fenced. I also do let all house sitting clients know that I cannot be in the home the entire stay. Rest assured they will not be alone for long, but I may occasionally step out to run errands or other drop ins. If there is a special way to enter or leave the house like if you’d prefer I enter through the garage, just let me know! As for package deliveries, whatever arrives during my stay will usually be placed inside by the front door. You can let me know if you prefer I don’t move them at all.

About: I have been pet-sitting since I was a military-brat in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’ve continued to pet-sit and walk dogs off and on since moving to Nova in 2011. I’ve grown up mostly around dogs, but am just as fond of cats. I’ve also been in the childcare field for many years, from being a private nanny, to working as a Lead Teacher at a daycare. About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.

I am also open to do super early walks, or late check-ins for dogs. My schedule during the day is open. I’m also available to housesit during the weekends. I try to update my calendar every two weeks. I treat any pet as my own pet. I ensure that they are comfortable, that they are fed, that they are also having fun and they feel safe. I know changes can sometimes cause pets to become anxious, and I want to ensure that while their human goes on trips, or is away, they are feeling like they are taken care of and feel safe!

About: I live in Sterling, Virginia. I have over 3 years of experience on Rover with dozens of clients. I have had cats all my life, have dog sit for neighbors while growing up, and helped take care of and raise 4 puppies in the last 3 years - my sister’s two Golden Retrievers, my roommate’s German Shepherd, and my other roommate’s Golden Doodle. Three years ago, I adopted my cat, Annabelle, and January 2020, I adopted my puppy, Mia. I raised them both from around 10 weeks old, and they’re the most loving and amazing babies. I love all animals and pets, and will definitely take amazing care of your pets, no matter what type, breed, size, etc. How to request a booking with me: - Request the booking - Message me regarding a good date/time to set up meet and greet - Upon my acceptance, I will come to your house or we can meet elsewhere with your pet so that you, your pet, and I can meet and you can explain to me the care instructions, show me around your house, and give me the keys - Lastly, enjoy your trip/vacation/day and I will send many pictures and videos during the visit so that you can feel closer to them while you’re gone!😊 I currently work from home so I have plenty of time and a very flexible schedule to take care of and play with your dog/cat! To ensure safety, I always make sure no pet gets out as I enter and exit, dogs are always on leashes outside, no doors are left open, to lock the house securely when I leave, and to ensure the pets are safe throughout the entire visit.
