About: My name is Laryssa and I am new on the sitter side of Rover. I am extremely reliable, caring and would treat your pets like my own while you are away! From experience, I know how hard it can be to leave your pets and will provide updates so you can ensure your fur babies are in good hands! A little about me I am a longtime dog owner and have had my Norwegian Elkhound mix for 10 years. She is now almost 12, I have experienced the puppy years, the energetic years, and all the little changes that come with caring for a dog as they get older. I also have experience with dogs from other family and friends that I would care for while they were away. I also currently have two tabby cats and I grew up with cats my whole life so I would be comfortable with both cats and dogs. I currently work from home full time so my schedule is flexible. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine and I will ensure to follow what is asked of me. I am available for dog walks and drop-in visits around the Leesburg area. Whether your dog needs a good walk, some playtime, food and water, a potty break, or simply someone to keep them company, I will make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I can't wait to meet your pets and become someone you can count on! I currently work from home so I have a flexible schedule and would be willing to work around your needs! I have animals myself so I am used to breaking up my work day. Unfortunately I am unable to board animals with my dog since she gets jealous of me giving attention to someone outside of her. About: I have spent majority of my life caring for a wide range of animals from dogs and cats to ducks, rodents, and reptiles. I have one beagle who loves playing with others and we would love some company for our walks and adventures. I am acclimated to cats and dogs of all ages, I am used to giving medications (including allergy injections) and pets with food sensitivities. If you have a fur baby that needs some exercise or company, my beagle and I would love to meet them for either a casual stroll through a neighborhood, a trail walk through the woods, or even for short visits to dog parks followed by soapy baths. Let me know what your pet needs are and I am happy to accommodate. On weekdays, I am available 3-7:30 most afternoons. If I am going to your home and your home happens to be near my work place, I may also occasionally be able to pop in for a short visit 9:45-10:30. At my home: Your dog has options. I have a puppy proofed kitchen that has access to a dog door with a fenced in yard. This space is separated from the rest of my home via a doggy gate and is a wonderful space where I leave my pup to play during the day while I am at work. This space has continual access to water, dog beds, toys, and the fenced in yard. Additionally, if there is a fur friend that is in need of a more private secluded space, I also have 2 medium dog crates with soft blankets and chewies. The crates will limit your pups interactions and protect them while I am away from the household for work. When I am home, the dogs will be with me throughout my entire house, they will be brought on walks, fun outdoor adventures, played with, fed, pet, they can sleep in the bed or on the floors, and they can be bathed if necessary. We can even take car rides to go out on fun hikes if you are interested in your dog having access to opportunities like that (they are our favorite.) They will continually have a beagle playmate happy to have companionship. Cats will have a secluded room to stay in, as they are often more sensitive to new spaces, and they will get plenty of snuggles and affection each day in their own private room. At your home: I will arrive in the afternoons with my beagle to play with your pups and to go on walking adventures. I can follow whatever particular protocols you have in place for your dogs, their food/med routines, etc. We will play together and spend time outside on adventures. I can take your pup with me in my car to go on hikes or we can keep the visit completely local. For cats, my dog will not come with me and I will enter the home to address whatever needs your cat may have, whether it be cleaning litter boxes or giving cans of wet food.

Valerie is amazing! She was incredibly kind and caring with our kitties, took wonderful care of them, and even went above and beyond by helping with a few extra tasks while we were away. For example, she brought in the many packages we received during our trip, which was extremely helpful. She provided lots of pictures of our kitties during every visit, including photos of their food station and litter boxes, so we could see that everything was clean, neat, and well cared for. We could also tell that the kitties really loved her! They are usually very shy and don’t warm up to new people quickly, so seeing how comfortable they were with Valerie meant so much to us. We are extremely happy with her care and truly appreciate all the help, kindness, and attention Valerie provided. She did an excellent job, and we would absolutely recommend her!
Brooke was consistent, reliable, communicative and caring for our two cats while we traveled for a week. We looked forward to the check in pictures Brooke sent everyday. 2nd time booking with Hannah and she really provides the best care for our cat! She also send out interesting and fun report cards and pictures after every visit which is greatly appreciated. She builds great connection and I am sure our cat will miss her drop in visits.
Lena was very thoughtful while dropping in on my little guy while I was away for the week. While I was away she even kept an eye on a hygrometer I'd set up just before leaving to make sure the dehumidifier I'd been using didn't over dry the air, and kept actively in communication. My cat felt the love and was 100% stoic when I got home (a good thing! He didn't feel so lonely!) Will be in touch with her again for my next out of town trip!
