Even while building my professional career, I always stayed connected to animals through volunteering with rescue organizations and shelters. Caring for them never felt like a task — it felt natural. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’ pets and supported rescue animals of all personalities — shy, energetic, playful — and each one has deepened my commitment to creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. My home is cozy, peaceful, and structured to make pets feel secure and relaxed, I allow pets on bed and furniture, but definitely follow the pet parent instructions, if not allowed! I also volunteer at farms, so I have good experience in taking care of farm animals like goats, chickens and horses I have a flexible schedule and am committed to working around your needs to make sure your pets receive the same warmth and attention they’re used to at home. I'm currently doing pet care as full time job, so I'm available all week/anytime and I genuinely love going on walks, so your dog will get good exercise with me I'm available almost all the time, your pets will have my 100% focus on them, I also don't have any other pets or kids, so your pet will feel like the king/queen of the house :)
“Thank you so much for taking care of Martha while we were away! All of your detailed visit reports and photos were so wonderful to receive every day. We know Martha is not the friendliest cat, so we really appreciate the care you took with her. We felt so comforted the whole time we were gone knowing that she was in good hands. Thank you so much again!”

“Jaida was exceptional. She is warm and professional. She took care of my cat Louie the way I wanted, and she took some super incredible pictures of Louie too!! I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Kalpana was amazing! She sent me tons of photos of my kitties. She spent time hanging out with them and keeping them company. They looked happy which set my mind at ease. I would recommend Kalpana to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I’ve volunteered at the local animal shelter with dogs and cats for 6 years and assist with their programs, helped foster kittens, petsit neighborhood families for 5 years My schedule is flexible! I’m nannying this summer Monday-Friday at 12pm-4pm. I’m in my senior year of high school so I currently get out at 3pm, but my last day is June 3rd. I have a 2 year old Labrador, 5 year old main coon cat, and 11 year old orange tabby cat. I take my dog out on long walks and we like to go on hikes together. My cats are very playful so we spend a lot of time together trying out new toys.
“I have never been so comfortable leaving my fur babies with someone, before. Erin not only knows the idiosyncrasies of geriatric dogs, but the crazy that is a hound dog! Wonderfully descriptive check-ins. Great pics. We will 100% be asking for her, specifically, again!!!”

“Lexi was wonderful with my two dogs while I was away. She made sure that the dogs were fed and had potty breaks when they needed to. She also made sure they got all the love they needed while I was gone!”

“Victoria saved our Thanksgiving! She was able to accommodate our last minute request and put our mind at ease. It was a pleasure meeting her in-person and based on the rover card with pictures, she was on time, checked all the marks, and clearly won our cat over.”

About: Hi all! I am interested in doing some petsitting to find some dog friends for my pup. I am not a full-time dog sitter, however, I'd like to find some more dogs that my dog will play with & hopefully build some puppy friendships. I live in Broadlands and WFH. I work from home & my dog is cage free all day. We usually do a longer walk in the mornings (between 6-7am) and play outside when it's cooler, then a short walk around lunch time, and another walk around sunset. Bedtime is around 9:30 in our house. Ideally I'd like to find other low-medium energy dogs that play well with my dog and can be trusted to free roam/play around my townhouse while I work. We go out for lunch time play around the neighborhood so good leash manners is a must.
“Jenna was great! She graciously agreed to coming over to let our dog out plus my daughter and son-in-laws three dogs while we were away for the day. Our dog has very good intuition about strangers, and you could very much tell she loved Jenna from the pictures that were sent. I will definitely book again!”

“I had been searching for a pet sitter for over a month and found Helen, met her briefly and trusted her immediately. She is a lovely human and was able to assist in a hectic travel time between both work and personal. Hoping to enlist her assistance again soon”

“Kiah is great! This is my second time using her and my cat Heidi loves her. She shows up on time and is very responsive. I never worry about leaving my cat when I know Kiah is checking in on her. I will definitely use her again.”

“We have used Francisca twice and will use her again! She was very responsive to our concerns and questions. Through her updates, we felt very close to our cats even though far away.”

“As always, Kirstin was the best! She gives us great peace of mind when we are away. Our pets love her and we feel confident leaving them in her care. She goes above and beyond, even keeping an eye on the house while we are away. We plan to always use her from now on!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Leesburg
Krystal was absolutely wonderful with our cat Daisy, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. From the very first visit, we were so impressed with how prepared, thoughtful, and attentive she was. Daisy warmed up to her right away, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Krystal did an amazing job with Daisy’s injections and handled everything with such care and confidence. She was also incredibly easy to communicate with, kept us updated, and clearly genuinely cared about Daisy’s well-being. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would absolutely book with her again. We highly recommend Krystal to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and professional pet sitter!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Leesburg. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
