“Valerie did an amazing job taking care of our cats and kept us up-to-date while we were gone. Both of our cats had health conditions, one is asthmatic, and the other needs a probiotic. She did a wonderful job managing the medications. We will definitely reach out to Valerie again in the future!”

“Nicole helped us out for a few days and was fantastic. Our pup was very happy and it was comforting to know she was with someone that could take care of her so well. We would definitely reach out to her next time we have the need!”

“Carleigh stopped in to check on my cats for a week while we were out of town. She was very calm and let the cats come to her during the meet and greet and they were quick to get comfortable with her which was such a relief as cat parents. She sent daily report cards and was super responsive. We’ll definitely use her again next time we’re out of town!”

“Kally was wonderful! She was a great communicator and very good with both a senior dog and an 85 pound 9 1/2 month old German Shepherd puppy! Not easy! Ha! Looking forward to working with her more.”

“Emma is so great! I asked her day-of if she would be able to quickly meet my dogs to then pet-sit for them the day after, and she confirmed! She’s super personable, and sent a lot of pictures. She went above-and-beyond. Thank you, Emma!”

“Ashley has been so good to Dozer. She is his weekly companion for lunch time walks. She is quick to respond and communicates when she has a scheduling conflict. We have enjoyed Dozer's pics for every walk. Thank you Ashley!”

“Lesley is the Best!! So caring and very thoughtful. She sends pics and messages and she gave me such piece of mind. If she has availability she always does her best to be helpful and I’m so thankful to have found her. I’m going to miss her now that I’m moving to a different area. Best wishes for continued Success!! 😊👏”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was about 10 Years old. Since then, I have owned 3 German shepherds and have dog sat, walked and trained before. So I have experience in all aspects! I work about 4-6 hours a day Monday through Saturday so I have majority of the day to walk and play with pups anytime in the late morning through evening! Depending on the home, I can take the pets out on a leash, or play with them in the backyard depending on their energy and how playful they are!

“Sofia was great with communicating about the cats and how they were behaving and gave them lots of love and attention. Even got our Chloe out and investigating while she was here!”

“Very happy with our experience with Sara! She kept us up to date with pictures and how our cats were doing/feeling. They seemed to really look forward to her visit! Highly recommend.”

About: I've had the joy of caring for my elderly beagle for several years, and that experience has given me a deep understanding of a dog’s needs—especially when it comes to patience, gentle handling, and attentiveness. From slow strolls to knowing when they need extra comfort, I’ve learned how to support dogs at all stages of life. I bring that same care, calm energy, and reliability to every walk and visit. I’m dog walking on a part time basis, except Tuesdays and Thursdays, but can be available some weekends. I am also local for holidays so can be available. Since I used to have an elderly dog, I am familiar with the different parks and also have a pet friendly rooftop area in my apartment building.
“Susan is the best! Really appreciate her care of our 2 golden retrievers--one of whom needed a LOT of eyedrops plus meds at every visit. We haven't been able to travel/leave our pets for awhile! Felt great to feel so confident that they would be well cared for !”

“Sarah was so nice and very responsive. She quite literally came to the rescue and took care of my dog last minute. I had a sitter booked (on wag) as I’m out of town, and they cancelled out of nowhere after the service had began and left Pinsir without any care. Sarah responded almost immediately and made time in her busy schedule to help us out and give him AMAZING care!! She really relieved all of my worries and I felt extremely comfortable having her as his person!! I would absolutely book with her again if I got the opportunity!”

“Thanks Susan for the excellent care you gave my kitty Isabel ! She is such a skittish girl and I appreciate that you would seek her out at each visit. So glad she eventually came around and let you pet her !”

“Deigo was great and communicative to me in sending pictures and always responding . He’s a real Good choice for this app. I know my dog really enjoyed his energy & Deigo enjoyed caring for him .”

About: Hi! I'm a 19-year-old responsible and energetic pet lover based in Ashburn, VA. I've grown up with dogs (a lovable senior basset hound and a prickly Pekingese who has passed on) and a cat (spunky Lulu), which has given me hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. I genuinely enjoy spending with animals and making them feel loved. I'm currently working part-time over the summer, so I'm flexible and have time to take care of your fur babies. I'm available for flexible daytime, evening, and weekend services around the Ashburn area. I always do a Meet & Greet first to make sure it is a good fit for you and your pet. You can count on daily photo/video updates so you'll never have to worry how your pet is doing. No matter what the environment, safety first is my top priority. I always follow your care instructions carefully and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or appetite. During walks, I keep dogs securely on a leash/harness. For drop-ins and house sitting, I keep the house secure and get in contact with you right away if there are any issues.
“Excellent sitter! Great communication and prompt responses! Alexis loved on our old grumpy kitty while we were away and was super patient and kind to her. I will definitely use Alexis next time!”

Ashburn cat parents share their Rover experiences
Sydney was great! We booked last minute and were really relieved she was able to drop in on our kitties while we were away. She communicated well and made us feel like we didn’t have to worry. I realized I missed a few things in my instructions but she was able to roll with it and take care of everything. We really appreciated her help and would be happy to book with her again.

We had a wonderful experience! Simba can be a little shy with new people, so it meant a lot to hear that he quickly warmed up, was purring, playing, and showing his goofy personality. The detailed update and photos gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We especially appreciated the attention to his feeding, litter, and playtime. It was clear that Simba was well cared for and comfortable. We’d be happy to book again!

Kayla is a wonderful Rover! She was communicative while we were away and sent lots of photos of our furbabies. We are new to the area and our home and had some technology issues with our lock. She was patient and kind as we worked through these challenges. Highly recommend!

Carleigh stopped in to check on my cats for a week while we were out of town. She was very calm and let the cats come to her during the meet and greet and they were quick to get comfortable with her which was such a relief as cat parents. She sent daily report cards and was super responsive. We’ll definitely use her again next time we’re out of town!

Chelsea is such a wonderful sitter! We were thrilled she was available on such relatively short notice, too! She takes great care with Hank and Zozo and really tries to win them over (and succeeds!!) Chelsea also goes above and beyond: bringing in any mail/deliveries, and putting out food for the strays we take care of, too. We highly recommend Chelsea!!

Loved how Yvette cared for our cats while we were away! She was very responsible, attentive, and clearly cared about their well-being. Communication was excellent — she kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We came back to two healthy and happy cats :) Would definitely recommend her and would absolutely ask her to care for our cats again!

Nice job with our pet visits. She def cares about animals as she rescued an injured bird that had flown into our glass door minutes before we left for the airport. Our home was the way we left it, and she sent plenty of pics to ease our worries about leaving them
