“Brooke was so helpful and sweet with our puppy — she even taught her a new trick! She took incredible care of our puppy, our home, and keep us well updated. Would certainly rebook and trust her to provide great care.”

“First time using Rover, and Olga was amazing! Frequently kept me updated on Coopers status, including plenty of pics. Had the schedule this last minute and on Thanksgiving Day, and Olga was more than happy to help. Will definitely use her again in the future, and highly recommend.”

“Yekaterina is awesome! Friendly, responsive, communicative and especially kind and caring to our elderly girl, Mamie. We really appreciate Kat and hope we can work with her regularly. The next time we might decide to a weekend trip instead of only a day away and we can rest assured that our girl will be well cared for! Kat is A+!”

“Skylar took care of my two kitties for a weekend and was incredibly attentive, left detailed report cards on them, and took time to get them out of their shells since they can both be a bit shy! One of my boys, who hides any time other people come over, even came out to say hi to him a couple of times and he got him to play! I highly recommend Skylar.”

“Marcia was absolutely amazing !!! I needed a sitter fast ! She scheduled the meet and greet the next day !!! She was very knowledgeable on dogs body language and very sweet!! She also took amazing photos of my baby that made me feel great when I woke up in the morning!”

“Sanja was wonderful and took great care of my cats. They mostly hid, but they were happy when we got home. I highly recommend Sanja. She is very loving and professional.”

“Abigail took great care of Cinders and Pepper whole their owners were away for the weekend. She followed all care instructions, gave them their medications, and spent a good deal of time with them so they didn't get lonely. We'll definitely think of Abigail again for next time!”

“Sarina is the best! She is very easy to work with, trustworthy, and my dog loves her. As a pet owner, it is so comforting to watch Sophie run to the door with her tail wagging furiously when Sarina stops by.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, caring for them from their energetic puppyhood to their gentle senior years. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet-sat for friends and family. Raised with a deep love for animals—a passion passed down from my grandmother—I’ve spent years rescuing, fostering, and caring for pets of all personalities and needs. My husband and I currently share our home with a senior dog, an adult dog, and a cat. Since I am at home during the day and my husband also works remotely several days a week, your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. I look forward to meeting your furry family members! I'm usually at home during the day so I'm flexible to include you pet and I have a rutine with my dogs that include 2-3 walks a day and potty breaks in the backyard on demand. I have a fully fenced back yard where the dogs can explore unleashed and two dogs to make yours company. Also there are plenty walkables areas nearby for them to enjoy outdoors.
“Jennifer was so, so awesome with my two pups and kitty! She went above what was asked/expected, checked in regularly, updated us with (super cute) photos, and left the house how she found it. My Three Amigos are looking forward to the next time they get to spend time with her!”
About: Hello! I have been taking care of dogs since I first got my own over 20 years ago! But professionally, I have worked as a pet sitter for all kinds of animals with multiple pet sitting companies in the area for over a decade now:) I hope to branch and work with more clientele through Rover. I am currently a pet sitter for a private company but I also have plenty of time to devote to other families outside here on Rover :) I take a lot of pride in caring for not only a client’s pets to the highest degree when they’re in my care but also their home.
“Alexandra dropped in to check on my 2 kittens. She was very responsive and available for a meet and greet on short notice. I will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“Carey really is the best. She provides so many updates and keeps us informed. She takes the best care of our house, cat and fish tank too! She was as usual really good to our cat.”
“Hilary did an awesome job with our 2 cats! She was on time, fed and medicated them, hung out with them and sent pix! She is by far the best person we've ever had watch our cats. Hilary took care of cleaning the litter and bringing in the mail every day, too. We highly recommend her - she clearly enjoys what she does, and we are super grateful!”

“Jessica is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, she’s super helpful with being flexible around my weird work schedule and Jacks always seems to be in a great mood after a visit from her.”

About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.
“Jillian is amazing!! She’s watched our two fur babies multiple times and they adore her!! She’s incredibly responsive and treats your babies as if they’re her own. She also does a great job keeping you up to date with pictures and texts throughout her time!!”

About: Hey! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I am a lifelong dog lover, having owned small medium and large breeds since childhood and throughout my life. From Dachshunds, to Dalmatians, to Great Danes and Rhodesians, I have vast experience with all dog sizes and strengths; As well as the psychology and temperament that accompanies each breed, and the necessary handling and demeanor. The time spent as a Veterinary technicians assistant in college means I'm also familiar with some basic dog first aid (doggy first aid kit with me), as well as know what to look for and asist in order to make sure each breed is comfortable (ex. larger and or longer breeds may have hip dysplasia or other difficulties). Having spent every summer on a large farm with over 10 dogs, I not only seem to have a second sense for dog behavior, but understand their psychology in a group situation, the hierarchy involved, as well as the need for a sense of security and comfort. I am the one my friends call to come help train their dogs, or even accompany them on a hike in case some first aid is necessary. Moreover three of my close friends are veterinary doctors, whom I speak with daily, and are a great source for any information needed. I have extensive experience with both young puppies, and older dogs who may or may not have some incontinence or other medical issues. I am very familiar with dogs with special needs, as my own previous dog was partially paralyzed, and required medication. At the end of the day, I just love dogs and want them to be as happy and healthy as possible, including cooking custom meals :) I work remotely and at my own pace, so dogs always come first. There is a well groomed dog park across the street that we can go to at any moments notice. I have a dog proofed home, with a very friendly and submissive doggy to keep yours company. I have a ring doorbell camera that monitors the only entrance/exit; There is a very nice fenced dog park across the street with a dog agility course. There are pleanty of dog toys, chews and treats. The dogs are welcome on all the furniture, with a dedicated TV playing doggyTV in the background.

Did a great job taking care of our cat! Lots of pictures and messages keeping us up to date on her. Very punctual and followed directions for our cat's care and how to lock up the house for the last day. Also spent good quality time petting and playing with her in addition to feeding her, and checking the litterbox.

Jen was absolutely amazing. She paid so much attention to our kitties, making sure she spent a lot of time with them so they weren't as lonely while we were gone. She was understanding and compassionate when they were acting out and leaving messes on our rugs, she cleaned it and remediated it as well as gave me advice for how to ensure they wouldn't do it again. We are SO grateful for her care and expertise and highly recommend her to anyone who wants to make sure their animals are loved and cared for! Thank you, Jen!
Fantastic as always. Being away from our furbabies is always hard but knowing Cliff is watching them is one less stressor off our checklist while we're away from our boys. We know they are well taken care of and loved. Cliff communicates beautifully and sends updates with each check-in with loads of pics and notes. Highly recommend like always! If you want your furbabies well taken care of, choose Cliff! Thanks Cliff!!!

Brooke was consistent, reliable, communicative and caring for our two cats while we traveled for a week. We looked forward to the check in pictures Brooke sent everyday. Brooke — thank you SO much for taking such great care of our two boys while we were away. We could tell they were comfortable and happy with you, and they truly enjoyed your visits!!

Michelle was very attentive to my cat, Pepita, while we were on vacation. She made Pepita feel comfortable, and we loved receiving all the photos and updates from each visit. It gave us peace of mind knowing Pepita was in such caring hands. We would definitely book Michelle again!

Lena was very thoughtful while dropping in on my little guy while I was away for the week. While I was away she even kept an eye on a hygrometer I'd set up just before leaving to make sure the dehumidifier I'd been using didn't over dry the air, and kept actively in communication. My cat felt the love and was 100% stoic when I got home (a good thing! He didn't feel so lonely!) Will be in touch with her again for my next out of town trip!

Victoria is truly the cat whisperer. I cannot recommend her enough. We needed someone to feed them while we were out and my kitties are always happy, well cared for, and comfortable when we come home, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. Our cats are also super shy, but with Victoria they come out to say hi. I also really appreciate is her communication. She consistently sends thoughtful updates and pictures, which always brighten my day and reassure me that they’re doing well.

June was a reliable and trustworthy caregiver for our 2 cats for 6 days. They're shy and didn't warm up to a stranger in that short time but we never worried about them or our home; the cats were fed and clean and safe, we received daily photos and reports, and June even cleaned one cat's throw-up from a rug and called us in real time when one cat was hiding (he promptly showed himself the next day). Our home was respected and secure as well. Thanks June!

Chelsea was great with taking care of our two cats again! She communicated any schedule conflicts with us before confirming the booking, was adaptable with new care instructions, was very accommodating with us when our travel plans changed, and even brought in our trash cans for us! Most importantly, our boys like her and we know they are getting the care they need. Thanks so much, Chelsea!

Lindsey did a great job, taking care of our dog and cats! We contacted her on short notice and she came and did a meet and greet and understood what we needed done. When we arrived home we had a happy pup, who had received his meditations, and cats who didn’t care that we left or came home.😂

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Countryside. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
