“Rakesh followed all my instructions exactly and took great care of my dog. She was very comfortable with him even though they had never met before which just shows me that he has good energy around animals. I will definitely be hiring him again.”

“I cannot say enough about Valerie! She is absolutely wonderful, 100% reliable and my dogs love her! She is great at sending updates and pictures of the walks, and always on time. Valerie goes out of her way to come meet your dog/cat and makes you feel confident that she will do a great job with your four legged family member. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker in the Ashburn area.”
“Ashley is truly a gem! I can’t recommend her enough, 10/10 experience all around. She was my go-to dog walker for over three months while I was away for work, and her consistency, communication, and flexibility were exceptional. Thank you so much, Ashley, for taking such great care of Stella. It means a lot knowing she’s not only getting her walks in, but also having fun and getting plenty of playtime while I’m away.”

“Nic and his wife Carmen were great on their walk with Scuba. He’s a young and mouthy puppy and tries to eat everything during walks. They handled him with care and he seems to have enjoyed his walk. I’d recommend them!”

“Sofia has been great with my dog. She’s been extremely patient even when my dog has been fussy. It only took a couple of walks before she warmed up to her. Definitely want to thank Sofia for everything and I know Katie is looking forward to future walks!”

About: I have experience as a groomer, walker for large working breeds as well as administering medications and post surgery care. I am no stranger to bites and scratches. Pet care is my full time job alongside working as a dmv actor. My schedule is typically extremely flexible and I can work around your needs. I take pride in providing loving, reliable care for pets in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to follow each owner’s instructions carefully—from feeding schedules and walks to administering medications, playtime, and cuddle sessions. I also treat every home with the utmost respect, keeping it clean and secure while providing regular updates and photos for peace of mind. Whether I’m caring for an energetic puppy, a senior dog, or an independent cat, my goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away, so you can travel with confidence knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I've taken care of animals for several years, including my volunteer work at the Loudoun County animal shelter and the several trainings I've went through there. I've been trained to take care of several animals fear free, including rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. I also attend Michigan State on the pre-veterinary track! I'd love to meet your furry friends and treat them like my own! I work part-time and attend school during the fall and spring but I'd love to take care of your pets during the summer and winter when I'm home! I can crate dogs, ensure theyre walking in safe weather conditions, clean any messes or accidents that happen, and make sure both myself and your pets are safe.
About: I’ve been around animals most of my life and some of my favorite people are Furry Ones! I’m always up for walks, visits and snuggles! Summer Hours Update: I am available anytime during the summer! I’m not limited to my school schedule until August 10th, 2026 I’m looking to make some new furry friends! I teach elementary school, so I’m up early and at work by 7am, and out of work by 3:00. I’m available most weekdays for walks and visits 3-10 pm. I also am available most weekends all day! I will take care of your pet as I would my own! I am available to come to your home, and when I am caring for your pets I will give them extra time and attention. My drop-in visits are usually at least an hour, especially if there are more than just one pet. Our cat prefers to be a consistent Only Child, so bringing your pet to my house is unfortunately not an option currently. If you have them, I prefer written specific needs/directions so that there is no confusion about what your pet’s needs are.
“Karina was so warm and loving towards our pup when we all first met - We knew she’d be a great fit! She has been walking our pup mid-day and leaves a nice note and pictures after each walk. We are happy we can trust Karina in our home and with our pup! 💙”

About: I am a vet tech who has always been passionate for the care of animals. My family and friends has been able to rely on me when it comes to the care of their pets. I have had pets since I was a child. This and working at a vet clinic has allowed me to understand the different care and needs each animal requires. Working at a vet clinic has helped me learn to care for pets in need. I am able to understand the requirements for special needs a pet may have, as well as the seriousness these need can have on their health. I treat pets like my own. With caution, care, and mainly the love they deserve. I currently work full time. I make my clinic schedule, therefore, I am able to adjust my schedule to any booking needs. I take hour lunches, this allows me to visit pets on my break for potty breaks and love. When it comes to the care of my clients pets, I like to write down and review their information daily. I do this to ensure that they are getting the correct diet, that they are allowed certain toys or activities, they are getting any specific medications. In my home I try to give my clients pet the same freedom they have at home as well as the attention so that they aren’t stressed and feel comfortable. Whether in my home or my clients home, I follow daily schedules so that pets do not get confused or stressed

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ashburn
Isabel is a WONDERFUL human being, and Brody absolutely loved her visit and walk around the neighborhood. Isabel had an early 7am request to walk Brody and she was right on time. From the pictures I could see that Brody's body language was happy and relaxed. Isabel even spent extra time on her walk with Brody and refilled his water and food upon her return. Isabel was very communicative through the Rover app on how Brody was doing while we were away and she provided lots of pictures. Isabel is responsible, dependable, arrives on time, and we felt Brody was in very good hands. We will definitely book Isabel again.

Logan was fantastic with our golden retriever! Walks were long when the weather allowed and otherwise he spent some play time with him inside. He was timely, kept in touch, and administered meds as asked. It was such a wonderful peace of mind having him take care of our pup!

We had a wonderful experience with Mason! He was punctual and communicated well. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Hazy was in such caring and dependable hands. He clearly love animals. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker.

Carleigh is reliable, caring, and truly exceptional with dogs. My dog absolutely adores her and gets so excited every time she arrives. It's clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. Knowing my dog is happy, safe, and well cared for gives me complete peace of mind. We feel incredibly lucky to have met Carleigh!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
