Availability
In general, my days are pretty flexible. I work from home and can easily work around visits with your pet. I do have a second job Wed-Sat afternoons from roughly 1:30-4:30pm, but there is some flexibility there too regarding timing if we need to work a visit around that.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm happy to do whatever your pet needs me to in order for them to feel comfortable with me. For dogs I will gladly take walks, play fetch and tug, work with them on basic commands (using your cue words), whatever they need to be mentally and physically stimulated. For cats, I'm happy to play or just sit with them depending on what the individual cat needs. I clean litterboxes like a pro, have been told by a number of cats* that I'm excellent at the hand-under-the-blanket game, and have an excellent lap for sitting on and purring. *Okay, "told" might be a stretch, but hand-under-the-blanket was a favorite game with my cats growing up, so I’m assuming I’m good at it. I also have a dog who is reactive to other dogs when he is on a leash, so I am used to walking dogs who do not like to be approached by others and can re-route us to avoid that.
Information Erin K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or particular routines that I need to account for. I know how it can be when a pet has a certain way they like things done.
A typical day
Whatever your pet needs—long walks, fetch, tug, mental games/running through basic commands to keep their brains stimulated. All of my dogs have been hounds, so I am well-versed in the “stop to sniff“ type of walks. I am also a runner (albeit a slow one) and will gladly take your pup out for a jog if that is something they enjoy!

No pet is too big or too small!
Pet care experience
A lifelong animal lover, I grew up with cats, have had dogs for 13 years, and have been dog- and cat-sitting since middle school. In the past few years I've added a horse and a trio of fancy rats to my personal menagerie, so when I say no pet is too big or too small, I mean it! I volunteered at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter for the over two years, working with a variety of cats, dogs, and small animals such as guinea pigs and bunnies. I'm well-versed in cat and dog body language and happy to go at whatever pace your pet needs to feel comfortable having me with them. My own dogs are big guys (75 and 90 lbs) and fully-grown, but I've walked and cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. I've given medications (oral, topical, and injectable) to dogs, cats, horses, and rats, and have experience with senior dogs and cats--my cats lived to be 16 and 22, and I've had two senior dogs of my own and have dogsat for others in their golden years. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pets!
