About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I am a skilled dog trainer currently offering training services in the Eugene/Springfield area. My dog training career started when I completed an internship with a local dog trainer in high school and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge of dog behavior through training experience, research, interviews with trainers, and online courses. I utilize gentle training techniques that reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs and promote relaxation and confidence. I never engage in harsh training methods such as prong collars, shock collars, dominance, or physical force; my techniques are based only on positive reinforcement and trust. I specialize in training dogs with separation anxiety so if your dog suffers from this, they will be in good hands and they will never be left alone for long periods. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I only accept dogs that stand 17 inches or less at the shoulder and weigh 30lbs or less. I do occasionally make exceptions to this rule for senior dogs up to 40lbs that are very good with small dogs, calm, low energy and slow moving. I also have a maximum of 5 dogs staying with me at a time (which is a group of 8 if you include my own 3 dogs) and this keeps the overall energy more calm and less chaotic. I don’t accept Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pitbull Terriers, Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Huskys, German Shepherds and Chow Chows or their mixes due to these breeds not being a good fit for my small dog environment (a small percentage of 15% or less is okay if it came up in your dog’s mixed breed DNA test though). Please keep in mind I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament and your dog needs to be friendly and well accepted by my pack during a daycare trial or meet and greet in order to be approved for boarding. My priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. I have a house with a dog door and securely fenced yard. Your dog will have frequent potty breaks and full access to the house and yard. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available, in a soft sided crate on our bed (or on the floor next to the bed), or in an exercise pen. If your dog is small enough, comfortable and tolerant of other dogs around them, and sleeps peacefully then they will be allowed to sleep in the bed with us, but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crate trained, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed any other way. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I use tall pet gates to ensure all entrances are secure when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escapes. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences an illness or injury during their stay I will contact your dog’s usual veterinarian. In case of an emergency after hours I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has an stress-free, comfortable stay with me.

About: I have trained my own dog to be a good citizen canine as well as a service animal. So I have experience teaching dogs to sit, stay, leave it lay down, as well as other commands. And hope to be able to use this training to help with your dog or puppy. Ever since I was young I've had a real affinity for animals and they're really drawn to my sweet and caring nature. I can be a bit shy at first but you won't regret giving me a chance to help your pets out. Right now my schedule's pretty open any day of the week as long as I can get to address have a driver license,I look forward to getting to know more dogs and spend time playing with them. I'm not currently working so I have as much time in the world to spend with your dog and to make sure it gets its daily exercise and other basic needs. I have unfenced yard , will always take precautions and have leash on a dog when taking it for potty breaks I do have a dog of my own he is a service dog for a living but I can always kennel his to keep your dog safe or put him in my bedroom.

About: My wife and I have a combined experience of 14 years taking care of all kinds of animals. We see them as family. We were a former care coordinator for our local humane society before moving to Oregon and take looking after your family very seriously. Don't like a male in your home? No problem we'll arrange for my wife to present instead. We work together for you! After the passing of our dog we wanted to start Rover in memory of our Chewy we have 2 Cats and 1 small Senior Dog that would be isolated in our master bedroom to give your family member the space and attention they deserve! About: I’ve had a dog and cat since I can remember. Currently my family has a husky lab mix (Charlie), a chihuahua daschund (Ginger), and a grey and white cat (Chloe). Currently I only have university so it would be easy to slot in time to help with the pets. So besides schoolwork my schedule is fairly open. I will try my best to complete the task that an owner might need me to do and use my experience to gauge what the pet might need.

About: I've owned, loved, and been around animals my whole life - dogs, cats, and miscellaneous farm animals. Growing up in the country and having animal based chores from a young age helped me develop a love for animals, tolerance and patience, and the capability to care for a variety of animals in a variety of settings and environments. Closely raised alongside a veterinarian uncle taught me the value and importance of animals in our lives (and occasionally even provide assistance to a him in action). I'm also quite flexible with many things. While in my care, I can walk/exercise (or be absolutely lazy with your animal). Depending on what you request, as long as it's within reason, I am open to catering to your wishes and will do what you ask of me to keep you and your pet happy! :) ie. although I marked "allowed on beds/furniture", I understand this is not for everyone. I personally love having animals near me but also understand the importance of not allowing in my home, what is not allowed in your home. Also, I have access to my family's property out in the country where I can take your dog on hikes away from the public, run freely in large fields that are fenced in at the property line, and explore the great outdoors with them for an even more special experience while you're away! Experience (in general): listed 28 years as I've closely helped family members since ~at least~ 8 yrs of age. My sitting history mostly includes requests to house/dog sit for friends and family members over the years (both in their home or in mine). The "official" dog sitting experience is less, as this is my first time creating a professional sitting profile and I am excited to start work with people outside of my circle! :) I only marked the days I am off work completely as my available dates. These are the days in which I can provide the best/full attention care. I can provide care on work days, as long as you are okay with me working around my work schedule (ie. early mornings/evenings or nights). Otherwise... Consistently, I'm off every Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Weekdays: never hurts to check! I have many weekdays off, but they vary and depend on my office's hours. I know my days off in advance and can plan accordingly. My office closes for 7-19 days at a time 4x/year (Feb, May/June, Sept, Dec). Plus, any major holidays, we are closed and I may be available. I will take necessary precautions to keep your animal safe and cared for. I have a yard with no fence and would keep them on a leash while taking them out or on walks. If while in the country on family property, as long as we both feel comfortable with it and your dog's behavior, leash wearing is whatever you prefer. I will of course put them back on if I feel the need to. Although I'm easy going, I'm also a reliable and responsible person with common sense and enough experience with my own animals to properly care for your pet. I will always do what's needed in any situation to protect your pet and keep them safe. After knowing an animal longer and understanding their behavior/tendencies, sure, I can ease up some - but will always take more precautions at first while I am still getting to know them. And again, in any case, it's whatever you are comfortable with and would like. Details can be discussed and figured out along the way. For example, if your animal gets uncomfortable in unknown places - I am more than happy to come to you and care for them in your home! If they need this medicine at this time, you've got it! If they do better when you take them for a 45 min walk and then snuggle them for an hour, sure! If you need them to eat these specific things, at these specific times, and anything else you may need - just chat it out. I'm sure we can work the details out - and if not, I'll just say no and ask that you find another sitter who may suit you and your needs better. We'll figure it out.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was young growing up with a small dog and getting a big dog when I got older. My neighbors and cousins have asked me to watch their dogs numerous times. I also worked as a dog walker before for 2 sweet dogs who were brothers. I love dogs and can care for gentle senior dogs or multiple rowdy dogs if needed. I am a current college student and have lots of free time during the week to walk or care for dogs between or after classes. I can crate dogs easily if needed. I am also able to watch them outside when playing in a yard. I am watchful about what the dogs do and where they go always.

About: I'm a lover of all pets, young and old, big and small. I grew up on a farm in New Jersey around horses and a variety of other animals. I’ve got experience with it all! For dogs specifically, I like to do walks, hikes, swimming, even to a play day at the park. I’ve also administered medication to dogs of all ages and sizes. About: Caring for pets has been an important part of my life for as long as I remember and I know how important it is that our furry family members get the best care when we are away. From daily feeding, playtime, and training to handling medications, vet visits, trips to the emergency vet, I've done it all. I volunteer weekly at the Greenhill Humane Society socializing shy and nervous cats and have completed a course in pet CPR and first aid. With an 18-month-old boxer of my own, I know all about working with exuberant dogs and puppies and am always learning new training techniques to help with enrichment and obedience. A few things I would like every pet parent to provide me before I care for their pet. We can discuss this, and anything that I missed, when we first meet. - Expected arrival and departure dates and time - Emergency contacts besides yourself - Feeding schedule and instructions, including treats allowed - Health conditions to be aware of - Detailed medication instructions if needed - Name and address of their vet - Closest emergency vet - Pet temperament (fears, anxieties, etc) - Toys and favorite games - Where pet(s) sleep - Where they are and are not allowed in the house or yard (if dog) Dog: - Their potty habits - Equipment such as harnesses, leashes, poop bags, treats etc. - Anything I need to know about their behavior outside of the home (walking, in the car, around other animals and people) - Crate rules (if used) House (if housesitting): - Alarm instructions if applicable - Trash, recycling, and mail/package handling - Location of pet supplies - Location of thermostats, electrical panels, laundry, etc. - Wifi password, remote controls, etc. - Any service professionals who might visit during the stay (cleaners, yard maintenance, etc.) - Expectations around plants, mail, clean-up before your return I'm retired from the UO, so outside of my volunteer hours (~6 hours/week), my schedule is very flexible! I'm happy to work with the schedule that suits your pets needs. Meeting your pet's needs is my highest priority, whether it is playtime, quiet affection, a long walk, or simple companionship. I ask that all pet owners leave detailed instructions on their pet's needs, including what treats they can have, medications required, how they like to play, what actions or situations might cause anxiety, and all information for vet care and emergency contacts.

About: I have experience with all shapes and sizes, from playful pups to seniors with higher needs. I’ll always make sure every dog receives all the puppy love they deserve, whether that’s trail-running, daily walks, or a little extra playtime! With me being a student at OSU-Cascades, I have more free time than most, ensuring your pup gets all the care while you’re away 😊 Im a full-time Environmental Science student at OSU-Cascades with plenty of gaps to fill my schedule. This means flexible work and lots of available hours! I’m free pretty much any time, any day :) While my current living space is not suited for dogs, I will always acknowledge that your house is YOUR space and will do my absolute best to keep it better than how I found it. About: I have three beautiful cats at home that are super energetic and snuggly! My family had cats while I was in high school and I love being around all animals! Just moved to Eugene from Tennessee and currently have open availability! I’m an early riser so if you need a dog walked in the morning, I’ve got you! I have a car and am willing to walk or bus as well! Our house is plentiful of cat trees, window perches and tunnels! We give them fresh food and water every day and they all get individualized attention! I will do the exact same for your pets!

About: At this point in my life, I have cared for almost any domestic, exotic or farm animal that one can run into! Time spent working with snakes and spiders in a reptile shop, working on farms with cattle, goats and chickens, and caring for everyones furry companions like cats, dogs and rodents in homes has left me feeling well prepared to handle whatever critters come our way. My remaining pet is Sharkbait, a 9 year old heeler mix, who has been the everywhere and everything dog with me for the last 8+ years. She has met all of the above animals in her time and is the ultimate friend to all. As a retired service animal, she is kind and intuitive while responding calmly to reactive animals she meets. This makes her the perfect travel companion and buddy for all your babies and she will always be with me on sitting and walking jobs as she and I like to stay very active, walking anywhere from 2-6 miles daily together. Lets chat about your animals specific needs and background! Being active is a huge part of my day and I love making sure your animals are included in that! Walks to the park and jogs around the block are my favorite way to keep your pets focus while expending that pent up energy. For homebody pets I love a good puzzle or snuffle toy to keep their minds working in their safe space. Meet and greets together as a family are priority so that when you're out of town or at work, your pet(s) can trust Sharkbait and I are there to support them. About: I’ve grown up around animals and have taken care of a variety of animals my entire life. I’m very experienced pet sitting for dogs and cats. I have grown up with dogs (both big and small) and cats. I’ve dealt with very energetic dogs before and large dogs. I also have experienced giving pills and medication to both dogs and cats and have bottle fed kittens. I have taken care of many friends and neighbors dogs and occasionally cats over the years. Being in college and away from my dogs is so difficult, which is why I would love to walk and care for your pets! I’m currently a student at the University of Oregon, only having to work around my class times! I’m free after 4 on Monday and Wednesday , until 4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after 1 on Fridays, and completely flexible on the weekends! Depending on what you would like, I’m comfortable taking dogs on walks throughout the day, feeding, cleaning, and giving medication if needed to all animals.

About: I have lived with and cared for dogs since I was a little girl, and have house-sat since I was 14 for friends, neighbors and members of my community. I have experience with high-energy dogs of all sizes; bathing, feeding, walking and caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. But more than anything, I just love dogs. I spend my free time researching them, learning about them, and giving them all of the pets that their hearts desire.I believe that animals are the most beautiful source of joy in the world, and because of that, we must show them the utmost respect and love. I am currently a student at the UofO, and I typically have very open availability due to large gaps between courses. I am free particularly in the evening, but have time available during the day, as well as in the morning almost every day. I am willing to be flexible about my schedule to accommodate to your needs, as I understand how crazy life can get sometimes. I offer same-day cancellation for walks and drop ins, as well as same day booking for those days when you just can’t get a break. I do not offer care in my home, but have experience with both crate trained and non crate trained dogs. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pup under someone else’s care, but I assure you that I have the utmost respect and love for animals.
