“This was our first time leaving our dog with Bob. And it was the first time that our dog did not look stressed when I dropped her off and left! I was amazed. Maisie just seemed to know that he was caring and confident and she was in good hands. I think she very much liked playing with his own dogs since she is the only dog in our home. Bob clearly loves animals and was also sensitive to Maisie's needs. Maisie is a lap dog and Bob and his wife allowed her to snuggle up to them for reassurance. Bob is a personable individual and easy to talk. I would highly recommend him to anyone!”

“Peter and his family did a great job watching Murphy for us. Communication was great both before and during Murphy's stay. It was clear at pickup that Murphy was well loved and cared for while we were away.”

“Bielka was great. She responded to my request quickly and was able to accommodate my pup last minute, when my usual sitter had to cancel. She took good care of my dog, and was able to handle her quirks and energy with seeming ease. When I picked up my dog, Bielka gave me a little summary of their time together and let me know how my dog did. She truly cared and loved her, and I so appreciated that. It's not always easy to find somebody who will provide that care and form a connection with your dog over a short period of time and it feels like Bielka did just that. My dog seemed totally at ease. I'm so grateful for Bielka and would 100% recommend her!”

“Lilly was happy to go back to stay with Kathrine for a week and I believe enjoyed her stay. Katherine dealt with Lilly’s quirks with no issues. We are so glad to have found a trusted dog sitter!”

“Brooke and her family are an amazing host. My dog absolutely loves them. They are like a second family. I know he is in good hands when spending time here. I am very grateful I have Brooke.”

“Absolutely fabulous! We were so nervous leaving our boy for the first time. Andrea and her husband made me feel so comfortable. They provided a warm, loving, and fun home for our GSD. Plenty of pictures of him loving life and getting lots of cuddles ? We could not be happier with his stay, and will for sure be rebooking!”

“My dog really enjoyed her time there! She got to play in the yard and was able to keep cool during the head wave in the kiddie pools. Melissa made sure she had a lot of fun and got a lot of attention”

“Daniela took amazing care of Dobby while we were away. She sent great updates and from each picture and video it was easy to tell that Dobby was having a great time playing in the yard and hanging out with Daniela and her family. Glad Dobby was able to be with a safe and caring family while we were gone!”

“This was our first experience using Rover and we struck gold with Vanessa. She was communicative and kept us updated on our pups while we were away. Our dogs can be a handful as one is VERY high energy, but she clearly knew what she was doing and they came home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend her to watch your pups!”

“Dorothea made us feel confident she knew what she was doing when it comes to dogs from the initial meeting. She was super active with the dogs and Luna came back very happy and VERY tired which is exactly what we were looking for! She sent pictures and communicated with us throughout the stay which was great. I would definitely book with her again in the future and am very thankful we had a responsible and active fellow dog owner to watch our pup while we were away. Thank you!!”

“Julie took great care of Daisy for us while we went away on a trip over Thanksgiving. She kept us updated daily with photos and how she was doing. We would highly recommend Julie. She cared for Daisy exceptionally well :)”

“Juliana was able to take care of Archie last minute, which was greatly appreciated! She was very flexible with the drop off and pick up, which was greatly appreciated since we went out of town for a wedding. Juliana was attentive to the instructions I gave her regarding our dog and asked questions for clarification. Juliana was open to meeting up a couple days prior to the booking, and our dog was able to meet her two cute dogs as well as her kids. We trusted her and her family with our dog immediately! She also made sure to send us lots of updates and pictures while we were away. 10/10 would recommend her and I will be a returning client :)”

“Krystyna & Sara are AWESOME!! If you have a dog that needs to board somewhere, you don't have to second guess leaving it with these two great hosts!! My pup was EXHAUSTED after picking him up, the house dog Bernie, did a great job matching Whiskey's energy and wore him out. He's still catching up on his sleep the next day! LOL. We even found out that he's good with cats! I will be boarding my dog there again next month. A++++++. experience.”

“Adriana and her whole family was very accommodating and patient with our dog who gets separation anxiety. She kept me updated frequently with pictures and texts. I would use Adriana again and would recommend her. Thank you!”

“Belinda was wonderful with our furbaby and sent us an update each day. She was very accessible by text and easy to communicate with. Our dog got along well with her dog, Sloane, who is a sweetie. Also, she has the perfect fenced in yard for the dogs to play! We will certainly work with Belinda again!”

“Robert took great care of our senior dog, Brady, while we were away. He is very caring and made Brady very comfortable, like he was at home, and gave him lots of attention. I highly recommend Robert. Thank you Robert for all the pics and the quick responses!”

“Reesi and Tanner made themselves right at home with Sindy and her family within a few minutes after arriving there. We were a bit concerned about how they might adjust in a new place with new people, but we soon discovered we didn't have to worry at all. We were able to leave them for the day and not worry about a thing. Sindy even sent us several pictures of them throughout the day to let us know they were safe and sound while we were able to enjoy our 4-year-old grandson's birthday party in another state. We highly recommend Sindy when you need someone to care for your pets while away!”

“Joseph and his family were great sitters. They took care of our boy like he was their own. Their home and outdoor space is safe and spacious for dogs to get plenty of exercise. They were also very accommodating when we had a change in travel plans. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again as a sitter.”

“Allie is the best! We had zero worries while we were out of the country for a week. Allie sent updates daily and when we went to pick Argo up he was happy and healthy! She will treat your dog like they are family.”

Button would have been nervous anywhere but I felt that she was in good hands with Donnie. He kept her safe and that’s the most I can ask for until she gets used to being at his place. I appreciate his professionalism and confidence with dogs and training. We will likely book again when we are in need of pet care.

Camila and Michael were amazing hosts to my bunny, Lilah!! They took such great care of her, giving her tons of attention and sending me pictures, and managed her twice a day medications. Camila had great and consistent communication with me and was very easy to work with and I'll definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
