At home, though, I’m happiest surrounded by my family and my two amazing dogs, who love welcoming new furry friends into our little pack. I often joke that dogs have been some of my best teachers (and sometimes better company than humans!), and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and wagging tails is one of my favorite things. Whether I’m supporting people through my work or caring for pups in my home, my approach is the same: lead with kindness, stay grounded, and make everyone feel like they belong. At home, I care for my dogs with a mix of structure, play, and genuine affection—daily walks, plenty of exercise, consistent routines, and lots of cuddle time. I make sure they’re mentally stimulated, well-fed, and always feeling safe and loved. Whether we’re relaxing at home, exploring parks, visiting dog-friendly spots, or going on little adventures, I keep their comfort and happiness at the center of everything. I treat every dog in my care the same way I treat my own: with patience, attention, and a commitment to making them feel secure, understood, and part of the family.

“Gabby was amazing with our Stella. First, she agreed to watch Stella on short notice as our regular sitter had fallen through. During the visit she sent pictures and videos, and when I picked Stella up she had a report card, gift bag with treats, a new collar(!), and a wonderful fresh smell from a much needed but not requested bath! Gabby went above and beyond like I have never seen, and Stella couldn’t have been better taken care of.”

About: Hey! I’m an elder millennial who’s had a pet of one kind or another since birth (I won’t count all that in my years of experience though!) My family currently consists of two dogs, both well-behaved, friendly rescues from the south. I currently volunteer with and foster dogs for a local animal rescue. I’m excited to meet your fur babies! While hosting at my home, I’m currently only accepting female, housebroken dogs who are good with small children and other dogs. I will be the sole caretaker for your pet, and should my children be with me, they will be properly supervised. Outside of my home, I’m happy to work with male and female dogs of all sizes and breeds. While I can’t cat sit in my home, I’m more than happy to check in on your little love in their own space. I mostly work from home, but there are a few sporadic days where I’m in the office. If your dog being alone concerns you, let’s make sure we talk specifics before we book! I work full time and have young children, so I’m often on the go. Dogs who love car rides are welcome to join us! I typically take lunch break walks during the day - I’d love to have your furry friend keeping me company! I have two friendly dogs to keep your baby company. I can easily crate if needed. I have a spare crate, but can also use yours if it’s preferred.

About: I grew up around dogs my whole life so I’m used to being around them. I also have had one other dog before and now have a mini dachshund. I’m very comfortable with taking care of dogs and having them in my space. I work a full time job at home, but I’m in control of my own schedule and am very flexible. I’m also available weekends and in the summer, I’m even more flexible. I take my dog out 2-3x a day depending on weather. We go on walk across the street at the park for about 15-20 min and when we are back inside, he is allowed to roam freely. He eats 2x a day with snacks in between and he always has water out. I play with him as much as I can throughout the day to make sure he doesn’t get too bored with his day too! My apartment is always clean to ensure that my pup doesn’t get into anything he isn’t supposed to. Lastly, my apartment building is secure as you need a key fob or someone to buzz you in to enter the building.

“While my family and I were on vacation, Rita did an excellent job taking care of Mango. She kept me updated daily with pictures and updates on his well-being. What I appreciated the most was the fact that Rita's home has a spacious fenced yard where Mango could get ample exercise. I will undoubtedly utilize Rita's services again and am grateful for discovering her on Rover. I highly suggest using Rita if you require a dog sitter.”
