“Arianna and Rob (and Callie) were so good to our Frenchie, Axl. He had a great week with them and played with their female pit mix, Callie. Callie was super tolerant of our high energy Frenchie. Their house and yard were safe and they sent updates with video and pics of Axl. They have boarded dogs at their house before so they have experience with all types of dogs but they are new to Rover. I am so glad we found them on Rover and will use them again for sure.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and Peter made the entire experience very positive for Cooper and our family. Cooper has a lot of energy and Peter and his family fully welcomed him, included him, and cared for him for 5 nights. Peter sent pictures throughout our visit with my mother in Florida, which replaced my worry and anxiety with laughter and a sense of peace. Cooper was more than Ok, he was loved and cared for. I will definitely book Peter again.”

“Jessica was wonderful with my dog, Luna. She kept us updated the whole time and was responsive to Luna’s unique needs. We will definitely use Jessica again in the future, we highly recommend her!”

“Belinda was wonderful with our furbaby and sent us an update each day. She was very accessible by text and easy to communicate with. Our dog got along well with her dog, Sloane, who is a sweetie. Also, she has the perfect fenced in yard for the dogs to play! We will certainly work with Belinda again!”

“It was wonderful experience with Julia. I did get multiple photos during my pet stay. I love the fact that she has 3 wonderful kids who lovee dogs and lucky for my dog they had a summer break. I would love to drop my dog with her again.”

“Renee took great care of Kiara while we were away. She was kind, reliable, and kept us updated, which made us feel really comfortable. Kiara seemed happy and well cared for. We really appreciate her help and would definitely recommend her!”

“Donna and Rolland were amazing. They gave so much love and support to my furbaby Jazmyn while I was on a 10 day vacation! Not once did I worry or feel any stress while on my trip. I felt like Jazmyn was in the best hands and I was right! I highly recommend Donna and I will definitely be booking with her again. Also, Jazmyn loved her which made it that much better!💜🐾”

“Kathy has the best facility and environment for the dogs. You can see how relaxed the dogs are bc of the positive atmosphere. She takes care of them well and everything is clean. The dogs are happy and play well with each other. It all reflects the great environment. Thanks Kathy for being so awesome!”

“Paul and Megan were fantastic. They took such good care of our crazy little corgi, sending us pictures and videos each day while we were away and regular updates about his mood and activities and overall how he was doing. It made it so much easier for our family to be away from our pup for the first time since we got him. Can’t say enough great things about the experience with Paul and Megan.”

“She took such great care of Remi and we felt so at ease, even though it was the first time we’ve had our pup stay with someone else. We loved the updates and photos and will definitely be using Gienna again!”

“Denise was wonderful. My dog is very timid with new people and he felt comfortable with Denise and her two sweet small dogs immediately. Really, it was a perfect fit. Denise was welcoming and communicative throughout. So happy to have met her!”

“Alex was awesome and took great care of our 9 year old and 2 year old pups, LouLou and Rudy. Alex has a huge fenced backyard that I’m sure they both enjoyed. Thank you Alex!”

“It was so easy to leave my Gracie with Wendy. I could just feel the love she has for animals. One thing that I really appreciated was the pictures and updates of Gracie that I received throughoout my time away. I’m so lucky to have found her!!”

“Thank you Irene for taking such care of my dog Bentley! She was very responsive, sent updates, and my dog was immediately comfortable with her. She was very thoughtful and put me at complete ease while I had plans! Thank you so much and look forward to booking with Irene again.”

“Mikayla & Alen, Thank you so much for hosting Prince Zuko 7/14-7/16. I felt quite comfortable leaving him in your care! I appreciated the thoughtful updates throughout his visit…I was better able to enjoy my brief time away knowing he was happy and having fun! Thank you for sharing your home with him. Looking forward to many more doggy adventures 😀”

“Cherie was very communicative and flexible with timings. Sent me photos of Ralphie and he definitely looked very happy staying with her. Will use her services again in the future.”

“Krystyna & Sara are AWESOME!! If you have a dog that needs to board somewhere, you don't have to second guess leaving it with these two great hosts!! My pup was EXHAUSTED after picking him up, the house dog Bernie, did a great job matching Whiskey's energy and wore him out. He's still catching up on his sleep the next day! LOL. We even found out that he's good with cats! I will be boarding my dog there again next month. A++++++. experience.”

“Veska and her family took such wonderful care of Bo! We could see from her daily (and often multiple per day) photos and updates that he was as happy and as comfortable as he is at home. Veska truly cared for him like he was one of her own pets. We will definitely be booking with Veska again which, I’m sure Bo will be thrilled about!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Groveland
Gabby was amazing with our Stella. First, she agreed to watch Stella on short notice as our regular sitter had fallen through. During the visit she sent pictures and videos, and when I picked Stella up she had a report card, gift bag with treats, a new collar(!), and a wonderful fresh smell from a much needed but not requested bath! Gabby went above and beyond like I have never seen, and Stella couldn’t have been better taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
