About: I’m a life time animal lover who grew up with pets of all kinds since I can remember. I believe every pup and kitty deserves plenty of love, attention, and belly rubs! I love getting to know each pet’s personality. I’m flexible since I work remote. I’m also active! Whether your pet wants a walk, a fun play session, or simply pets, I’m happy to keep their tails wagging and purrs going. I strive to make sure your pet will feel safe and comfortable and will keep you posted with as many pictures and updates as you’d like. I’m available to care for your pet across the full week - week day or weekends. I’m also remote, so I’m flexible with scheduling based on your needs. Your pet’s safety and happiness will always come first! Whether they are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours, I will always ensure a clean and comfortable environment. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine closely. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and any other safety details.
About: I think dog’s are awesome animals and they are so loyal. I love being around dogs and seeing their true personalities come out. One day I would live to have a dog, but I want to wait until I have a backyard to let them run. I work a 9-5, but I am remote. This gives me flexibility to tend to your animals needs. Animals are like toddlers and need a lot of care and attention. This is an important thing to remember for any animal owner. I will treat any animal as if they are my own. Every animal on this planet deserves to be treated with love and compassion. In time of their owners absence, it is especially important to make them feel safe and loved.
“Katie absolutely sets the bar for dog sitters. Just WOW. Simon loved her from the second he met her. The entire setup was amazing, from the backyard to the overall environment she’s created for the dogs. You can immediately tell how knowledgeable she is, how much she genuinely loves dogs, and how comfortable she makes them feel. We’ve had some great sitters before (and unfortunately some not so great ones too), but Katie is truly on another level. Simon had an amazing time, and we had complete peace of mind the entire stay. Could not recommend her more highly.”

“Sandra was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Alec! She took such great care of him during his 6-night stay and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and messages, which I really appreciated and loved seeing. It was clear that Alec was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would definitely book with Sandra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter. Thank you, Sandra!”

“Kristen is super easy to talk to. She has two dogs of her own and a good size backyard for the dogs to run around in. She sent me pics every day and updates when needed. I will definitely book her again.”

“Kulfi was cared for very well by Jonathan! He was prompt in sending us updates with several photos and videos everyday. Even though there were multiple dogs that boarded at his place, Kulfi got the attention that was needed. We’d definitely recommend boarding with Jonathan.”

“Amazing dog sitter. They went above and beyond the service. Coco loved them. I was in an accident in my vacation and they were there to extend my stay. They are wonderful people and a beautiful baby. I didn’t expect the kindness that they showed.”

“Mango stayed with Mary for a week, and everything went great! This was our first time using her, and she made the whole experience easy and stress-free. She kept us updated, and it was clear Mango was well taken care of and having a good time. We will be using Mary again in the future!”

“Lorrie dog sat for my baby for 3 nights. I felt good walking away knowing they were in good hands. I was right, I could tell Zoe enjoyed being there! I will definitely use her again!”

“Erica is very friendly, warm, and kind; she took great care of our 2 older dogs, including one that is taking daily medication. She sent us daily pictures and/or videos, along with messages about how they were doing. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her services again!”
“I honestly can’t say enough great things about Kelly and James! I was really nervous leaving Kodi and Zoey with anyone. They are very spoiled! During our meet and greet, Kelly welcomed us into her home and asked questions about my pups while they explored. She made me feel completely comfortable and confident that they would be in good hands. While I was away I got regular updates, pictures, and super quick responses, which gave me total peace of mind. It’s such a relief to know I’ve finally found a place I can fully trust with Kodi and Zoey when I am away. I’ve already booked another two weeks with Kelly and James! 🐶❤️”
“Viji was incredibly communicative and provided frequent updates with pictures, which I really appreciated. When we picked up our dog, he seemed a bit sad, which tells me he truly enjoyed his stay and the companionship of the sitter's little kid. It’s comforting to know he had such a good time! Highly recommend Viji!”

“Our 2 year old Pyrenees/Lab mix, Phoebe absolutely loved her stay with Vivian. She replied within minutes of our booking request and made the process extremely smooth. We received updates at least twice a day with pictures and didn't have to worry about a thing. Vivian made her feel right at home from the beginning. We will be 100% comfortable leaving Phoebe with Vivian in the future.”

“This was my first time using the app and I’m so pleased with how well it worked out. Hearher was super friendly and easy to reach out to. She sent me happy puppy pics every day and Monty had a blast with her and her family while I was out of town for the weekend. 10/10 recommend”

About: Hello, I have been a dog sitter for over 10 years. I understand that it can be scary to your fur baby to be away from home or with someone they may not know well. I'm retired so I can spend time with them to get to know their personality. To play or cuddle or just rest. I have a fenced, shady, back yard for the nature loving pups. I keep one dog at a time. The other dog at my home is my 10 year old mini schnauzer, Finn. Beside boarding I do wellness visits to your home that can include administering medicine, mobility checks for seniors, or just companionship. As well, I offer day care if that better fits your needs. I am Red Cross certified in Pet First Aid which includes CPR training. All dogs must be spade/neutered. I am not equipped to care for puppies, so I don't take dogs under 1 year old. Also, I love cats, but I'm allergic to them. I'm available during weekends and holidays. I'm flexible and will work to accommodate your schedule. Most importantly, I love dogs, they're awesome. I treat them all as though they were mine. See you soon at a meet and greet! My schedule allows me to work around the dog's needs. If I need to run out, I try not to be gone more than an hour. In that case, I turn doggie cameras on to monitor everything while I'm gone. I am within eyesight of the dog during the day inside. When we go out into the yard, I don't leave them alone there. I will crate the dog if you want them crated. I try to keep their routine the way they are used to it.
“Lisa was a great sitter for my Rex! He had so much fun playing with friends, and she sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me updated! He got tons of attention from everyone in the family and fell asleep in the car in the way home. I’ll definitely use her for sitting next time we vacation in this area. Thank you so much, Lisa!”

“Once again, great as always! Always feel so comfortable bringing Link to stay here! So kind and helpful! Link always gets plenty of playtime, walks, and attention here & gets treated so well, I can’t say enough good things😀 wouldn’t want him staying with anyone else!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Augustine
This is the first time I've left my dogs with Lorrie and I'll admit to being a little nervous. I was worried because my dogs get to come to work with me and are never alone for more than three or 4 hours at a time. Additionally, we were going to be gone 9 days and be out of the country. Finding someone who would take the dogs for that long was a bit of a challenge. Lorrie was very understanding and we had a meet and greet in her home so my dogs could meet her dogs. Note: she's got a beautiful fenced in backyard! Once that meeting went well, I booked a short afternoon stay so that my dogs could become more familiar with her and her dogs. They seem to have a good time so we confirmed our big trip. After we dropped the dogs off and all throughout the time we were gone, Lori sent pictures and on one occasion a short video. That communication was very much appreciated. When we got back and picked the dogs up she had given them a bath and had them ready to go. Thank you, Lorrie, for providing a safe and fun environment for our dogs. I would highly recommend you.

We were very happy with Brittany and her family! They cared for Avery like he was their own. You can tell they really care for the dogs they take it, we couldn’t ask to have felt better about leaving our dog with them. Brittany kept us up to date with pictures, and Avery seemed very happy. We will be using again in the future.

Catherine is beyond beyond great! Cat took care of my cat Lacey in her home as if she wore her own. She genuinely loves animals which gave me a great piece of mind knowing Lacey was in the very best of care. Cat was accommodating, flexible, energetic, reliable… literally all of the things you could possibly be looking for in a pet sitter. I give her the highest of recommendations, and if there were more than five stars to give, I would give them. She’s awesome!!
I cannot recommend Mariana enough! From the moment we met, it was clear how caring and professional she is. She watched are sweet Nina, and treated her like family. I had total peace of mind the entire time because she sent daily photos and updates. When we returned home, our sweet Nina was happy and relaxed. I will absolutely be booking with Mariana again!

Rylea was absolutely wonderful with Honey! She took her to the beach, checked in with me multiple times, and made me feel so at ease while I was away. She’s incredibly sweet and it was clear Honey was so well cared for. Five stars all around, will definitely be using her again!

Katie did a fantastic job caring for my dog for doggie day care (8-4). She was on time for both drop off and pick up. She kept me informed throughout the day and sent great pictures. Katie provides a work from home, no dog, no kids house which is perfect for my spoiled older terrier. The yard was a nice bonus. Katie can dog-sit my dog any time.

Kat and MaMa Joyce took excellent care of our Lil Zeus. Great daily communication with photos included. We didn’t have to worry at all. Great caregiver hands down. Truly appreciate your kindness and compassion towards our Baby. We will definitely stay in touch. If you’re looking for care, comfort and compassion for your fur babies without worry. Kat is the best choice ever!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
