“We are so happy with our decision to leave George with Katie while we were overseas for our wedding for 2 weeks. It was obvious he was extremely happy in her care and alongside her dog, Maggie! She shared pictures and updates throughout the stay to keep us updated. It was nice knowing our dog George was having his own mini vacation while we were away missing him. 10/10 and will book with Katie again.”

Inspite of that they did a great job. I thank them for taking care of hershey and for being patience with her❤️❤️❤️.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life! All throughout college I had multiple owners trust me to dog sit and walk for many years! Eventually I would love to have a dog of my own but until I can make that happen I would love to take good care of yours when you need it!! I am a nurse full time, which means I work 3 days a week. The schedule fluctuates weekly, but the days that I am off I am open to help! I have a fenced in backyard for boarding conveniences. I go on long walks daily, and would love to bring your dogs along with me!

About: I’ve grown up with many cats and dogs all my life. I know and understand the responsibilities that come with taking care of your pet I am currently unemployed, so I have a lot of time to take care of your pet and give them lots of love and attention. I live at an apartment complex. My apartment has a deck for fresh air and a fenced “doggy park” area. Many people who also live here have dogs that are all well trained and good with other dogs and people
“I told Christine that I had an issue with Benny marking and she had a solution. She is regimented and very thoughtful. Benny also received a grooming from Christine because she happens to also be a 12 year veteran groomer! In addition to his training while he was at Christine’s home he came back clean and happy! She sent photos that reminded me of homeward bound when Benny went in the yard with the other dog friends. Christine is a compassionate woman and has a loving and safe home for the pups. 1000% rebooking.”

About: I am a 19-year old dog lover. Whether it is a morning walk on the beach, afternoon ball play or an evening sniff walk, I treat every pup like my own. I have grown up around dogs. My once lively Labrador is a bit more sedate at 11. My family has always taken care of friends’ dogs and served as a dog friendly destination to visiting guests. I have walked neighborhood dogs for years. Happy to bring my experience, fun and energy to tire out your dog! What you can expect: - I am responsible and punctual - I will keep you posted with photos and updates. - Provide your furry family member with lots of love I am a competitive athlete and dog care and dog walking allows me the ability to work and the flexibility to continue to train and compete. I only take on dogs when my schedule allows. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly senior lab that is happy to share her home. I also have a pool which is great if your dog likes to swim to stay cool.
“Tyler and Christopher were so great with Oslo!! Sent us a lot of great pictures and we knew he was loved and cared for. We’ll definitely use again!”

“Absolutely amazing pet sitting experience! My pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for while I was away. Communication was excellent with regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Reliable, professional, and genuinely caring — I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy pet care. I’ll definitely be booking again.”

“Andrea and David were very kind when my dog was sick on the first day (due to being upset at being left) and took good care of her. They communicated well and sent me pictures daily, which I really appreciated. I would definitely have them dog sit again in the future.”

“Joanne took great care of Charley. She sent us photos and also administered ear drops for an ear infection Charley was recovering from. Many thanks for welcoming Charley into your house, Joanne!”

About: I'm the proud mama to 3 mutts: Bull/Terrier Mix, Kodak, & two Basset/Lab Mixes, Nikon & Fuji. I have always been a dog lover & have fully enjoyed dog-sitting & dog-walking for friends & family back in OKC, my hometown, & I can't wait to get to do the same for your fur-member here in JAX! I also work at a dog park bar & have gone through dog behavior training & walking. I work full time M-TH, but Fri-Sun I am usually available and also take care of my motley crew of 3 pups on the daily. They bring a special kind of happiness and comfort, and I love having the opportunity to care for them when their owners need a helping hand. have a home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. Inside, pets are treated like part of the family and are welcome to relax, play, and roam comfortably in a safe, supervised environment. I make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, affection, potty breaks, playtime, and exercise based on their individual needs and routine. I understand that every dog is different, so I do my best to maintain the schedule and care they are accustomed to at home. My little boy came back clean and soft with these adorable Polaroids pics of his 9 days away! Each day I had pictures and a little note of what they were doing for the day. This brought me so much peace while I was away. The true test of any dog is if they will go on a starvation strike the first few days. Morkie felt so comfortable with her that he ate more food than when he stayed with my sister! They even let him sleep on their bed with him. He was so loved! Thank you Rebecca for keeping his routine and making him feel like we were never gone!

Nancy took great care of Sasha during her stay. She was very responsive whenever I had questions and easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Sasha came home happy and relaxed, which is always the best indication that she was comfortable and well cared for. I appreciated Nancy's updates during the stay and would feel comfortable leaving Sasha with her again in the future. Thank you, Nancy, for taking such good care of my sweet girl!

Susan was great to work with and made everything really easy from the start. Gwennie settled in right away, which is not something she does everywhere, so that meant a lot to me. It felt like she was genuinely cared for and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the attention and flexibility Susan showed throughout. I’d love for Gwennie to stay with her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
