“Five stars is not enough for Waldemar! He took care of our Goldendoodle, Kairo, with so much love, genuine care, and responsibility. What we appreciated the most was how excellent his communication was—he kept us updated with every detail and picture throughout Kairo’s entire boarding stay, which gave us complete peace of mind. Kairo came home happy and well-loved! Excellent service, 100% recommended!”

“Kristen was so amazing with our little pup. Her family welcomed her into their home like she was their own. It was wonderful to see how our pup and their families dog almost instantly became best friends. Looking forward to bringing our pup back for a play date.”

“I had a great experience with Desirlee!! My dog deals with anxiety (especially when I am gone), and Desirlee was patient and loving with her. It was a great feeling to know my pup was being taken care of and loved on. I will definitely book again for future needs and would recommend!”

“Leah and her family were a great fit for my doggies! I 100% trusted them to take good care of my babies. They accommodated so well for my dog who is afraid of fireworks!! I received lots of pictures of them playing with the family and Teddy.”

“Our pup EeVee had a good stay with Natahlia for 2 nights. She spent her time to walk, to play with EeVee and let her relax at the porch :) Natahlia fed her as scheduled and beyond with lots of love. She also updated us EeVee’s daily photos and videos. It was ease of mind leaving our pup for the weekend knowing she was safe and comfortable with Natahlia. We will definitely go back next time!”

“Laura was incredibly kind, accommodating, and understanding to the last minute changes to Buttercup’s stay! Her children were amazing with Buttercup and they spent all weekend cuddling and playing with her :)”

“Both Kelly and James were wonderful sitters who watched our Bella and Archie over a long weekend. Between the daily communication, pictures and videos, we felt secure and calm with leaving our fur babies for the very first time. Our little loves clearly had fun and was well attended to as they came back exhausted and happy😊 I would most definitely use them again for our pet sitting needs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and playful environment.”

“My Golden Retriever Murray had the best time at Jacob and Cheyenne’s place. He had such a fun time he didn’t want to get in the car… I will definitely be using them, nice atmosphere and they truly love your sweet pups!”

“Sandra was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Alec! She took such great care of him during his 6-night stay and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and messages, which I really appreciated and loved seeing. It was clear that Alec was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would definitely book with Sandra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter. Thank you, Sandra!”

“Carole and Scott have watched my dog two times now. They are perfect sitters. I never worried. They sent pictures and texts everyday. Bambi has made some great doggie friends and so have we. Thank you Scott and Carole!”

“We are so grateful to Anolan for taking such amazing care of our two dogs, Maisy and Hendrix, this past weekend while we made a last-minute trip to New Orleans for the birth of our niece. From the very beginning, Anolan was incredibly kind, patient, and responsive. She sent us updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing our doggos were both happy and in good hands. Maisy and Hendrix absolutely loved her (and her sweet dog, Benji, who they got to go on walks and play with!), and they were clearly spoiled with love and treats. Anolan’s boyfriend was also great with them, and it was heartwarming to see how comfortable and relaxed our pups were in their care. We ended up being delayed in picking them up, and Anolan was nothing but understanding and gracious about it. We would 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. Thank you again, Anolan—you’re the best!”

“Kendra took excellent care of my little dachshund Fergie. It was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter and Kendra calmed my nerves and assured me that my baby would be safe and cared for. She sent me updates and pictures. Fergie looked calm and relaxed. I would definitely book Kendra again!”

“Abigail was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. They had lots of fun. Plenty of room to run and instantly felt right at home. I am very particular about who cares for my babies when I unable to take them with me but, I did not feel uneasy with the love and care they were getting at all. She sent pics and communicated with me the entire time. I will definitely go to Abigail again in the event I need to be away again.”

“I told Christine that I had an issue with Benny marking and she had a solution. She is regimented and very thoughtful. Benny also received a grooming from Christine because she happens to also be a 12 year veteran groomer! In addition to his training while he was at Christine’s home he came back clean and happy! She sent photos that reminded me of homeward bound when Benny went in the yard with the other dog friends. Christine is a compassionate woman and has a loving and safe home for the pups. 1000% rebooking.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Middleburg
This was the first time we left our puppies and we were put at ease with how comfortable they both seemed to be upon meeting Brian and the other dogs. They were very upfront about "following our rules" we have at home, so the pups didn't get out of their routines, which was really nice. Thanks Courtney & Brian!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
