“Desirelee was amazing! We booked her last minute just before Thanksgiving and she made our first Rover experience seamless. Her communication was excellent, keeping us updated with messages and photos of Sirius throughout the stay. When we picked him up, he was happy and well-cared for. We’ll definitely be booking with Desirelee again! Highly recommend!”

“We had been fortunate enough to find Georgia and she was great with our senior doggie. Georgia was very sweet and caring. Her 3 dogs are very sweet as well. She has a nice backyard for the dogs to go outside and uses gates and dog bed areas to make the dogs comfortable & safe as needed. Our senior doggie enjoyed his visit with Georgia and her dogs . We brought his bed, his blanket, food & treats for his visit.. We will choose her again..”

“Brad was an amazing dog sitter! He was reliable, kind, and clearly cares a lot about the dogs he watches. I felt completely comfortable knowing Jay was in good hands, and it was obvious how happy and well cared for my dog was when I got back. Brad kept me updated, followed all instructions, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter.”

I will definitely book with her again”

“Lindsey and Jose were great caretakers of our dog. They had other dogs and kids for her to play with and sent pictures every day. They also allowed us to book a good bit ahead of time and stayed in communication. Would highly recommend them!”

“Carole is a superior pet sitter. She provided excellent care for my baby as well as sending updates of their daily activities. Her home is so clean that I was worried about my pup causing damage. But Carole assured me that there would be no problems and allowed my baby to watch tv with her which he loves. I would definitely recommend Carole to all for pet babysitting.”

As a longtime dog owner, foster volunteer, and animal rescue advocate, I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities. As the proud dog mom of Scotty and Pancake, I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including senior dogs, rescue dogs, and pets requiring extra patience and attention. Through fostering and volunteering with rescue organizations, I've helped care for dogs during transitions, administered basic medications, managed feeding schedules, and provided plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. I currently share my home with two small dogs and know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Whether your dog needs a comfortable place to stay, regular walks, drop-in visits, or extra cuddles while you're away, I'll treat them like part of the family and keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care for your pets. I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 2:00 PM, with availability for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. Dogs in my care are treated like family and are rarely left alone for extended periods. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise needs, and any household guidelines you provide. My goal is to make your pet feel secure, loved, and as comfortable as possible while you're away.
“I usually go with a pet boarding facility but wanted to try something different. Meaghan was very responsive and flexible with my schedule. She welcomed my 2 frenchies with open arms no hesitation. She made me feel more comfortable with her than taking them to a pet paradise.”

“Lisa was amazing!! We haven’t used a overnight sitter in a while due to our dogs anxiety but as soon as Charli arrived, she felt comfortable! We were so happy to have found her!”

“Our dogs had a blast with Janet and Chuck! They absolutely loved them, they kept us posted and sent us pics/videos with updates. We are glad that our puppies ended up with people who are dog lovers. Thanks Janet and Chuck!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Middleburg
This was the first time we left our puppies and we were put at ease with how comfortable they both seemed to be upon meeting Brian and the other dogs. They were very upfront about "following our rules" we have at home, so the pups didn't get out of their routines, which was really nice. Thanks Courtney & Brian!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
