About: I grew up in a home full of animals and loved every second of it. At one point, we had five dogs and six puppies running around house. Being surrounded by dogs was such a special part of my childhood and helped shape my love for caring for them. Today, I have a 3 year old dachshund of my own who has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. As a pet parent, I understand how important it is to know your baby is in safe and loving hands when you’re away. That’s why, on my days off, I enjoy providing that same peace of mind to other pet owners. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, walks, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. As a full-time Nurse Practitioner student, my schedule can be busy, but spending time with dogs is one of my favorite ways to unwind and recharge. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy incorporating pet care into my weekly routine. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, providing companionship, or simply giving them extra love and attention, I find so much joy in being around dogs. They bring a special kind of happiness and comfort, and I love having the opportunity to care for them when their owners need a helping hand. have a home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. Inside, pets are treated like part of the family and are welcome to relax, play, and roam comfortably in a safe, supervised environment. I make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, affection, potty breaks, playtime, and exercise based on their individual needs and routine. I understand that every dog is different, so I do my best to maintain the schedule and care they are accustomed to at home. Whether your pet loves playing outside, going for walks, cuddling on the couch, or simply having companionship, I will provide a loving and comfortable environment where they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Lexi provided such loving care for our Sophie girl over the course of a week. Every day she sent photos, updates, and sweet videos. Meeting Lexi, you automatically can sense how wonderful of a caregiver she is to her own pets and how great she’d be with your own. We were so thankful to her: Sophie came back tuckered and happy, and we loved that she made some new friends too! We’d love to book her again!”

“Emma was great with my boys. She was quick to respond and took great care of them. They passed out hard after I picked them up from her house. And we defiantly will use her again the next time we are in jacksonville.”

“Andrea and David were wonderful! They provided daily updates and captured tons of great pictures! Riggins enjoyed his time with them - they were great!”

“Communication was excellent before and during the stay. They pampered Kala and made her feel love and safe as in home. Plus she went out with 2 big hugs from the kiddos. Thanks!!”

“Patricia is a lovely dog sitter. She takes such great care of our baby girl and communicates daily with pictures. Taco is always happy to see Patricia and is very content when we pick her up. We know she is in good hands every time Taco stays with her.”

“We loved Brooke and her sweet family! I knew my Golden, Daisy, was in wonderful, responsible, caring hands. Brooke texted me daily and sent pictures of their adventures. I would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be using her again! Thank you Brooke!”

“My puppy had a great time with Kristin and her dogs while we were gone for the holidays. We got lots of updates and photos, and we felt our dog was safe and well taken care of.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life! All throughout college I had multiple owners trust me to dog sit and walk for many years! Eventually I would love to have a dog of my own but until I can make that happen I would love to take good care of yours when you need it!! I am a nurse full time, which means I work 3 days a week. The schedule fluctuates weekly, but the days that I am off I am open to help! I have a fenced in backyard for boarding conveniences. I go on long walks daily, and would love to bring your dogs along with me!
About: I have taken care of small pets for a couple of years. The pets received overnight stay, daytime care such as walks, feedings, and play. “Christine is the very best, there is no one better to take very good care of your beloved dog. Christine has our absolute top recommendation!”

“Alysia was wonderful with my rambunctious 60lbs dog. She walked him and treated him like family. I was very nervous to leave him with someone he'd never met but he was so well cared for and she was so kind I was able to conduct my out of town business with confidence. I highly recommend her and plan to be using her again. Thank you so much Alysia and Gus thanks you too. ♥️”

“Lorraine was a fabulous pet sitter. She was very flexible with our flight changes. She sent pictures and messages that put me at ease while we were out of the country. Thank you Lorraine, we will definitely use your service again.”

“Joanne is an absolute lifesaver! From the moment I reached out, she responded quickly—not just to my urgent need for a sitter, but also in all of our communication. She’s an outstanding communicator—clear, efficient, and thorough—covering everything I needed to know and more. Honestly, if anyone should be the face of Rover, it’s Joanne! Trusting a new sitter to come into your home and care for your beloved pets can be nerve-wracking, but with Joanne, I had complete peace of mind. She instantly put me at ease, and I never once lost sleep worrying about my fur babies. She truly takes the stress out of the process, and I couldn’t be more grateful!”

“Blanca put both Pepper and me at ease immediately. Not only is she knowledgeable, but was friendly, accommodating and responsive. I feel so glad to know my pup was well loved while I was away!”

“Brad was an amazing dog sitter! He was reliable, kind, and clearly cares a lot about the dogs he watches. I felt completely comfortable knowing Jay was in good hands, and it was obvious how happy and well cared for my dog was when I got back. Brad kept me updated, followed all instructions, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter.”

Lauren and her pup Brew were excellent hosts for our high energy dog Luna! The two dogs got along like best friends and Lauren was professional, communicative and clearly cared about our dog and worked to get her (high!) energy out. We would absolutely recommend Lauren and would certainly book with her again.

My little boy came back clean and soft with these adorable Polaroids pics of his 9 days away! Each day I had pictures and a little note of what they were doing for the day. This brought me so much peace while I was away. The true test of any dog is if they will go on a starvation strike the first few days. Morkie felt so comfortable with her that he ate more food than when he stayed with my sister! They even let him sleep on their bed with him. He was so loved! Thank you Rebecca for keeping his routine and making him feel like we were never gone!

Nancy took great care of Sasha during her stay. She was very responsive whenever I had questions and easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Sasha came home happy and relaxed, which is always the best indication that she was comfortable and well cared for. I appreciated Nancy's updates during the stay and would feel comfortable leaving Sasha with her again in the future. Thank you, Nancy, for taking such good care of my sweet girl!

Susan was great to work with and made everything really easy from the start. Gwennie settled in right away, which is not something she does everywhere, so that meant a lot to me. It felt like she was genuinely cared for and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the attention and flexibility Susan showed throughout. I’d love for Gwennie to stay with her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
