“Reign did an amazing job with my high energy blue heeler! He spent a total of 5 nights at her house and she made sure to send plenty of daily updates. She took him on walks, played fetch with him, and even treated him with a pup cup! I am typically nervous when I drop my pup off with a new sitter, but Reign went above and beyond to make him feel at home. I will definitely be booking her for any future trips.”

“I can now see why Maddie and Charlea have such high reviews.. they are awesome! They send so many great pics and communicate with you extremely well. I can tell my doggo has so much fun and is well taken care of whenever he visits them because he comes back so so tired. I will only use them as long as I’m in Jax, fantastic sitters!”

About: hablo espanol :) I've had pets all my life, I understand their different needs and always treat them with love, patience, and attention. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter, where I’ve gained hands on experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. Whether it’s giving a senior pet extra comfort or helping a shy dog feel safe, I go the extra mile to make every animal feel at home. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and the trust I build with both pets and their parents 🧡🫶🏻 ‼️PLEASE NOTE‼️ : I am full time student so my schedule changes every semester. Open communication is very important to ensure punctuality and reliable care. I’m available in the early mornings, afternoons, and evenings, which allows me to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I’m dedicated to being thoughtful and dependable, making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved every day. I always put safety and trust first when caring for pets in the pet’s home. I make sure their space is clean, calm, and free from anything that could cause harm. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, and daily routines to keep your pet comfortable and happy. My goal is to build a trusting relationship by being patient, gentle, and attentive so your pet feels loved and cared for while you’re away.

“Randy and his wife were amazing and consistent with the photos. They gave my pup is eye meds and even send videos while doing it. I highly recommend them.”

“Wendy provides great care & sends lots of pictures of your 4 legged friend. Her obvious love of animals helped me be able to relax & not feel guilty for leaving my dog!”

“Amazing as always. I never have to worry about my Nova when she is with Charlayda. She has the midas touch. My pup is usually very nervous around other dogs and tends to shy away from them but she always comes out of her shell at Charlayda's. It did my heart good to see her having such a good time playing with other dogs. I love all of the photos and videos she sends and her homemade treats for the pups are a super special touch. She truly loves what she does and it shows.”

“Joseph & Reanaleena we’re perfect! They were very professional and attentive. Giving me updates & pictures daily. My dog is more difficult than most and requires special attention and they handled it perfectly! I highly recommend! 5⭐️”

“She is super sweet, very communicative which I really appreciate. My dog was super happy, like at home. We felt so relieved that our dog was in good hands. Thank you so much, we will definitely go back to her every time we have to go out. Thank you so much again :)”

“Kaitland watched my dog for over a week and the experience couldn't have been better. She had a great environment to board with 2 really friendly dogs and very friendly kids! She was knowledgeable and excellent with new animals and I am 1000% going to use her again as my go to sitter.”

“I recently moved to Jacksonville and interviewed 4 sitters before I found Tannia and Chris. As soon as I met them I knew they were the ones! Beautiful people, beautiful home, beautiful experience. My Frenchie is 6 years old and this was the first time I left her with ‘strangers’. My little Frida is very attached to me- but I had to pry her out of their house to bring her home after my trip. I found my people to watch my pup whenever I go out of town. Tannia and Chris were ‘strangers’ for all of about 10 seconds. They are now Frida’s home away from home- where I know I am leaving her with two caring and thoughtful dog lovers. 💕”

“Kristall took amazing care of my Bella! I received pictures and daily updates. She was quick to respond and Bella left happy and she was well loved. Thank you for your amazing care of Bella. We are so grateful for you!”

“Totally recommending Christi for boarding and sitting. She’s the best, my babies like her so much too. She’s friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you so much Christi.”

“Christy was amazing. First time using her service and had no issues. Very responsive and friendly; treating our dog like her own. Would recommend and will use again.”

“She took Legend at a last minute request with no issues. She kept me updated with messages and photos. Legend was good with her and I will definitely use her again.”

“Brenda was wonderful with my senior dog who needs a bit of extra care. My little one was comfortable and safe with her - and seemed very happy as well. My dog stayed at Brenda’s home. Brenda sent photos and text updates throughout the week. I highly recommend Brenda as a dog sitter!”

About: What sets me apart from many sitters is my lifelong experience with animals and my ability to genuinely connect with them quickly — especially pets who may be anxious, shy, older, highly attached to their owners, or simply used to lots of companionship and attention. Over the years, I’ve helped care for foster litters of puppies and kittens requiring around-the-clock feeding, monitoring, and weight tracking alongside my best friend, who is a veterinarian. I also have veterinary technician and shelter experience, along with hands-on experience caring for senior pets, administering medications, reinforcing basic puppy training, and supporting animals with special routines, anxieties, or medical needs. I’m currently working with one of my own dogs in service dog training, and I’m also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who previously worked with pre-K children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Both experiences have strengthened my understanding of behavioral reinforcement, nonverbal communication, patience, routine, trust-building, and adapting to different personalities and emotional needs. In many ways, both children and animals communicate heavily through energy, body language, consistency, and feeling emotionally safe, and I’ve found those skills help me connect especially well with animals of all temperaments. I’m also an avid walker and love spending time outdoors, taking long walks through the beautiful Riverside and Avondale neighborhoods, local parks, and nearby green spaces — especially when the weather cools down a bit. For more active dogs, I genuinely enjoy playtime, walks, fetch, and engagement throughout the day, while calmer pets usually find me just as happy to provide cuddles, companionship, and a peaceful environment. Because I operate my design company remotely and on my own schedule, I’m often able to spend extended time in the home providing companionship, supervision, structure, affection, and a calming presence throughout the day and overnight — not just quick drop-ins. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. Because I own and operate my own boutique design firm, my schedule is highly flexible and allows me to work remotely from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. I’m also involved in tween mentorship and creative consulting, both of which I manage on my own schedule, making it easy for me to prioritize the needs and routines of the pets in my care. I’m naturally both an early riser and a night owl, so I’m available for early morning feedings and walks, late-night potty breaks, overnight companionship, medication schedules, and pets who simply feel more secure having someone nearby throughout the day and evening. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy the companionship, structure, and calm presence animals bring. Whether I’m working quietly from my laptop while keeping your pet company, taking breaks for walks and playtime, or providing attentive overnight care, I’m able to give pets far more presence and consistency than many traditional sitters with rigid work schedules. Safety, trust, and creating a calm environment are extremely important to me, whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I have two friendly small dogs and cats of my own, so pets staying in my home should be comfortable around other animals and able to coexist peacefully. Our pets are very much part of the family and are welcome on furniture and beds, so I aim to create a relaxed, loving, home-like environment rather than a kennel atmosphere. I understand that every pet has different comfort levels, routines, and boundaries, and I take introductions, feeding, supervision, and transitions seriously to help everyone feel safe and comfortable. If a pet prefers to be crated or separated at times, I’m happy to accommodate those needs as well. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m highly respectful of routines, security, cleanliness, and household expectations. As a longtime homeowner and business owner myself, I understand the level of trust involved when someone gives access to both their beloved pets and their home. I’m conscientious about alarms, locked doors, medications, feeding schedules, potty routines, cleanliness, and communication. Because I work remotely from home in the Avondale area, I’m also able to provide a high level of flexibility, supervision, companionship, and overnight presence for pets who are used to having someone nearby throughout the day.
“Marlena and her husband took care of our puppy as if she was an extended part of their family. We are so thankful that we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation and not worry about whether she was okay. We got many pictures and updates of our baby running around and living her best life. Now she's exhausted from her vacation and snoring on the couch! We will definitely use Marlena anytime we need a sitter.”

Rachelle is awesome. She sent us pictures and my dogs looked comfortable staying with her. When we picked them up, they both looked happy and looked familiar with Rachelle so I think they were comfortable staying with her and liked her. They didn't forget letting Rachelle know they appreciated her by going back to her and let her pet them one more time before we left.

Hannah was absolutely incredible caring for our dog, Rogan, for nearly four weeks. Rogan was treated like part of the family, and it was clear he felt right at home. She sent multiple pictures almost every day. What really stood out was how thoughtful and caring Hannah is—when it was raining and outdoor play was limited, she even went out and bought Rogan a toy to keep him entertained. That is above and beyond! We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog, and we’re so grateful. We would trust her again without hesitation and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet.
Another amazing stay with Sherrie and her family :) my baby loves staying with her and I love that I don’t have to worry about him! You can truly tell she loves animals and treats her guests like they are her own! 🥰🩷 if you are looking for the right sitter, book here!!!!

We can't say enough good things about Brent and David. This was the first time our two, 8 1/2 year old Boxers have been away from us for 8 days. We had left them a day or two with our daughter in the past and through that experience, we discovered they don't eat for a day or two over separation anxiety and basically mope. Not the case here! These pups didn't miss a beat! Healthy appetite every day, plenty of exercise with walks and outdoor playtime, sofa lounging, treats, love, pets, full - hands-on attention and just happy. Our guilt and worry disappeared pretty rapidly after seeing the daily photos and video we received. We could not have dreamed or asked for better care of our fur babies. We can now take trips without concern and will always use Brent and David! Our dogs were loved. Highly recommend, A+, Five Star #happyfurbabies #BrentandDavid #Rover

Michael did an amazing job boarding my dog for the week. He kept me updated, made sure my dog was well cared for, and treated her like family. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in great hands. Highly recommend Michael to anyone needing reliable and caring pet boarding!
Sweet Ashley and her husband took great care of my 5 yr old Rat Terrier, Petey! They have a lovely home with a big grassy back yard not too far from us. And they have an 8 yo Daschund named Tank, who is very loveable and makes friends easily. They went on walks, played fetch, and he even slept in their bed! I don’t think Petey missed us one bit. He’s going back there next time we go out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
