“They were so sweet and took great care of our little guy! Sent pictures and updates of walks -will definitely be our go to sitters if they are available! Thank you so much :)”

“Katlyn is kind, attentive, and a great communicator. She did a great job caring for our small dog and handled his fear of the fireworks and thunder with compassion. Highly recommend.”

“Candace and Thomas were so great! Sent so many updates with photos that made me feel totally confident Tilly was in great care :) would love for them to watch her again in the future!”

About: Recently moved here from our family farm in central Minnesota, I have experience in working with a multitude of animals. Any animal from dogs to cattle, poultry to pigs and cats to horses! I have experience in dog sitting for neighbors, friends and family with or without being paid. I have a walker hound back home on the farm who loves to run around the farm and lives to hunt so changing his environment from the farm to an apartment didn’t seem fair to do. I miss him dearly, and have such a love for dogs, I would take them all home if I could! I also have experience working on a pig farm as a farrowing technician (assisting in birthing) and all the daily cares and medications from the time they’re born until they are weaned to another farm - also medication administration for sick pigs, including injectables. I have experience and training done on caring for elderly horses. I have experience milking cows and caring for young calves. I have fostered and cared horses until they were able to find homes, which is always tough having to say goodbye and trust they are going to a good home. Out of all the animals in the world, my heart will always love dogs the most. I do enjoy having cats around, unfortunately I am allergic so I can’t have any of my own. But I love dogs with all my heart, I think it’s safe to say I love them more than people! I may be new to the state of Florida, but I have a lot of time and dedication to offer as I am a “stay at home wife” to a husband in the Navy. We will be in the area for the next 5 years, and I would love to meet some people and help with their pets in anyway I can! Even if it’s just a drop in visit so they don’t feels so alone for such a long stretch of the day. I am ready, able and willing to love and care for your dog just as you do! I have TWO letters of recommendation I can share from my previous employers as well. I am a wife to a husband is in the Navy, so anytime he’s gone, I would really love the company!! Currently looking for a part-time job here so I can easily accommodate to pet owners who need boarding services! I live in a secure apartment complex that has a gated parking lot and sidewalks, and a fenced in dog park. It’s very peaceful and quiet here but there’s other dogs to play with as well! I also spend a lot of time walking the beach on the Mayport Naval base and would be more than happy to get your dogs steps in somewhere besides the hot concrete! I don’t have any children yet, and my dog is back home on the farm in Minnesota - not pets here. Just my husband and I!
About: I have happily taken care of many dogs throughout my life (my own and others) and really enjoy the companionship of being around dogs in general. I do have a full time job, however I am a 5 min walk away from my home. I’ll have plenty of time to board dogs on the weekends and weekdays after my day job. I don’t have any pets of my own currently. I live in a gated apartment complex with many other dogs as neighbors and have access to outside areas for going on walks and using the bathroom.
“Christa is always incredible with our boy! Her communication is great and even was able to drop our dog off at our place so we didn’t have to go pick him up after a long day of traveling. My husband and I highly recommend Christa!”

“Lilly has stayed with Bridget three times now and comes home happy and tired! We get great photos of her with Bridget and her family and she always looks like she’s having fun. We’ve started referring to them as Lilly’s “other family”.”

“Hannah was AMAZING!!! We left our 6 year old Cavashon with her for 5 days when we went on vacation. She texted us updates and pics which allowed us to fully relax knowing our little “girl” was being well taken care of! We would highly recommend Hannah!!🐶❤️”

“Our goldendoodle had a great time! Barbara provided us with daily updates and pictures. She has a large backyard which our dog loved! Definitely recommend :)”

“Andrea is absolutely incredible! From the moment we connected, I knew my dogs were in the best hands. She is attentive, caring, and truly treats them like her own. It’s not easy to find someone you can fully trust with your pets, but Andrea goes above and beyond in every way. What really stands out is how happy and relaxed my dogs are when I return that says everything. She keeps me updated, gives them so much love and attention, and clearly understands their needs and personalities. If you’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, and genuinely amazing dog sitter, Andrea is the one. I can’t recommend her highly enough she’s a true gem!”

“Lorraine was a fabulous pet sitter. She was very flexible with our flight changes. She sent pictures and messages that put me at ease while we were out of the country. Thank you Lorraine, we will definitely use your service again.”

“My baby had so much fun, she slept all the way home. Kristin kept me up to date with photos and videos, which were great. Her dogs are well-behaved and always ready to play. She is awesome!”

“Travis did a great job hosting our 2 dogs, they seemed genuinely happy to spend the night. One of our dogs is usually very stressed going to the boarder but seemed much happier. Thank you Travis!!”

“Communication was excellent before and during the stay. They pampered Kala and made her feel love and safe as in home. Plus she went out with 2 big hugs from the kiddos. Thanks!!”

“Such a great sitter for my dog! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! She took lots of pictures of my dog and he seemed very happy and well cared for. She took him of many walks and kept me updated on him.”

“Wendy is super sweet. I could tell my cat was having a pleasant time while with her. She’s very flexible and honest. I will definitely use her services again! We have found the perfect sitter ☺️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ponte Vedra Beach
Presley did a nice job sending us update photos while we were away and answering our questions about the adaptive welfare of our pup. It helped make us feel a bit better about "leaving our pup" for as we all know...a pup becomes a close member of the family. Our pup did very well and got along with Presley's own black lab. We will utilize Presley again.

Brooke and her sweet family took wonderful care of my boxer. I was worried my dog wouldn’t want to come home with me after all the love she was getting from Brooke and her family. Brooke kept me updated with daily texts and pictures. We will 100% be using Brooke in the future.
Susan was great to work with and made everything really easy from the start. Gwennie settled in right away, which is not something she does everywhere, so that meant a lot to me. It felt like she was genuinely cared for and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the attention and flexibility Susan showed throughout. I’d love for Gwennie to stay with her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
