“We were so grateful to have been able to meet and book Trisha at the last minute! She was so accommodating to stay with our new rescue dog who has some separation anxiety, and as well as our cat. She was prompt, easy to work with and great at communicating & sending photos. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

About: I have been trusted to take care of my own and friends animals since I was little. I volunteered at a cat rescue center in high school which taught me a lot about how cats thrive. I am currently a college student who is in between jobs so I have a ton of time to care for your pets! I am free all week and into the weekend. I love treating pets like they’re humans and give them all of my attention. I will care for your pets as if they are my own.
“Amazing first experience with the app Elijah took such great care of my baby and kept me updated with pictures and messages the entire time, — I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets!”

“Mackenna was an absolute dream with my two elderly dogs. Previous to our trip, one of our pups had major surgery on her back paw and had to wear a cast and take many different medications. Mackenna handled all of that tremendously! We know it was a lot of work and we were so grateful to her! We will definitely request her again! Thanks Mackenna for everything!”

About: Hi, I’m Grace! I moved to Jax Beach within the last year and love it here so far. I work remotely with a flexible schedule and would love to find some local pups to walk and pet sit for! My love for dogs began when I was 9 and my family got a mini dachshund named Ernie. I don’t have a dog of my own but have fostered several dogs ranging from 8 week old puppies to senior dogs. I work remotely Monday-Friday and will have plenty of time to play with your pups and take them outside. I am very active and love going on walks and spending time outside. I spend most the week nights at home on the couch cuddled up. Walking: I will make sure to learn your pups routine and any household preferences to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy with me. Boarding: Your pup can sleep in my room with me either in their crate or in my bed. They are welcome to hang out on the couch or wherever they please. I have a roommate that also loves dogs!
“Gracie & Bo loved spending time with Jessica. It is very reassuring to know that our kids were very well cared for and loved while we were gone. We have even booked her for another stay already. We can’t thank you enough Jessica. We loved getting the pictures as well.”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my entire life, both as a pet owner and by helping friends and family with their pets. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is truly my passion. I also have experience caring for senior and geriatric dogs, so I understand the patience, attention, and extra care they often need. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or older and needs a gentler approach, I will treat them with the same love and care I would give my own. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to spend quality time with your pets, whether that means walks, playtime, or extra attention and care. I am available Monday through Sunday and can work with a variety of schedules to help meet your pet care needs. I will give your dog or cat my full attention during every visit, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I also pay close attention to each dog’s safety, comfort, and individual needs during every walk.
“Nataley was spectacular! Sasha absolutely loved her. She was even able to interact with our very skittish kittens. We will definitely be connecting with her again when we need someone to watch our fur children!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! She was available on short notice on a holiday weekend to watch my cat and my current foster dog (who only has three legs!) Kaitlyn went out of her way to go over the tripod's care and gave me updates on her improving mobility. She took great care of our pets and our home and I would use her again!”

“Our first time having a dog sitter, Stella was awesome, she sent frequent updates and pictures daily and fun walks. Our dog is a senior, moving to a new home she has anxiety she really warmed up to Stella which is impressive. When we arrived home our house was nice and clean, and a very happy dog waiting Highly recommended!”

“Sophia was extremely communicative and pleasant to work with. She kept me frequently updated on how my dog was doing. She stayed at my home and kept it nice and tidy. She did everything that was asked and went above and beyond. I definitely recommend her for your house and pet sitting needs.”

“We’ve used Taylor multiple times for our pet family. Our animals are everything to us and we trust Taylor completely. My older dog gets really down when we leave and Taylor always sends us updates on her and tries her best to make her feel comfortable. She also makes sure she gets her medication + is fed separately from our other dog. All in all, we have a little bit of a high maintenance household and Taylor keeps them safe every time 💗”

“Parker absolutely loved her! Sent photos of my pup to me throughout her visits and went above and beyond! Thank you for helping me out so last minute I APPRECIATE YOU!”

About: Hello! I have had dogs my entire life, my parents taught me how to help train them since I was little. I absolutely love dogs but can’t have one right now. I’m very good with training and obedience, so I’m open to tough dogs; big or little :) I have experience in dog parties (who would’ve thought 😄), with up to 7 dogs at a time. So, if you have only one or two dogs, you can rest assured that they’re getting tons of love and attention. I’m currently working at a yoga studio but only teach about a class a day. So, my schedule is extremely open to take care of your pup! Day and night :) My first priority with your dog(s) is keeping them safe and happy. I keep track of all my responsibilities for each dog with lists of what we discuss in the initial meet (ex. How much to feed them, amount of walks, etc.)!
“Isabella was really good with our dog Penny Loved it that she was very responsive and open to doing a few extra things like rolling the trash out to the street since we had forgotten to do that. She’s a really sweet and very personable individual and would definitely recommend her to take care of your pups.”

Samantha is consistently reliable, conscientious, and intuitive with animals. While keeping my puppy and senior golden for two nights, she communicated often and sent some great photos of them. I felt at ease on my trip and am so thankful to her for making that possible. She also made sure to tidy things up for when I came home. I highly recommend her for care with your pets. Thank you, Samantha!

Dawn was great. She communicated clearly and gave me daily updates which was wonderful. She left the house tidy and clean. My two dogs absolutely loved her and I was able to feel at ease while away from them. I am grateful to have found her. Thank you so much Dawn!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,465 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ponte Vedra Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ponte Vedra Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ponte Vedra Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ponte Vedra Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ponte Vedra Beach. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
