“We were so grateful to have been able to meet and book Trisha at the last minute! She was so accommodating to stay with our new rescue dog who has some separation anxiety, and as well as our cat. She was prompt, easy to work with and great at communicating & sending photos. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

“Taylor did an amazing job watching my dog Presley. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and I really appreciated the consistent updates. It was clear Presley was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. The house looked spotless when I arrived too. Taylor is reliable, thoughtful, and I will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“I am amazed by how well Ruth took care of my cat. She was always communicating with tons of pictures. There was not one moment throughout my trip away from home that I had any concern because of how well Ruth took care of my fur baby. I would recommend her 10000%.”

“Colleen took great care of our 3 dogs and the house. We had a meet and greet ahead of time and reviewed the dogs' "personalities" and how a few particulars about their care should be handled. We left all of this in print for her review as well. She sent daily pics of the dogs relaxing or playing and several texts about getting to know them. She had even won our most skeptical/slow to warm dog over before we boarded our flight to leave. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Grace! I moved to Jax Beach within the last year and love it here so far. I work remotely with a flexible schedule and would love to find some local pups to walk and pet sit for! My love for dogs began when I was 9 and my family got a mini dachshund named Ernie. I don’t have a dog of my own but have fostered several dogs ranging from 8 week old puppies to senior dogs. I work remotely Monday-Friday and will have plenty of time to play with your pups and take them outside. I am very active and love going on walks and spending time outside. I spend most the week nights at home on the couch cuddled up. Walking: I will make sure to learn your pups routine and any household preferences to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy with me. Boarding: Your pup can sleep in my room with me either in their crate or in my bed. They are welcome to hang out on the couch or wherever they please. I have a roommate that also loves dogs!
“Amazing first experience with the app Elijah took such great care of my baby and kept me updated with pictures and messages the entire time, — I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets!”

“Mackenna was an absolute dream with my two elderly dogs. Previous to our trip, one of our pups had major surgery on her back paw and had to wear a cast and take many different medications. Mackenna handled all of that tremendously! We know it was a lot of work and we were so grateful to her! We will definitely request her again! Thanks Mackenna for everything!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and reptiles since I was born! I’ve always taken care of my families dogs and family friends since I was a kid. I enjoy playing with animals, taking them on walks, bathing them and bringing them to dog parks! I’m very reliable and organized with my time as well. I’m currently working Monday through Friday 9-4. But I’m available anytime after that, during lunch breaks, and every weekend! I can be flexible some weeks because I do work remote a few days out of the week. I have a cat currently with a porch and play area for him. I watch my parents 2 Australian shepards every other weekend, and I make sure they are taken care of in terms of medications, food preferences, and lots of cuddles.
“This was my first time using the Rover app and I was a little apprehensive about leaving Moby. Pia totally put my mind at ease with updates and pictures of Moby. She took excellent care of him and I will definitely rebook her in the future !!!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! She was available on short notice on a holiday weekend to watch my cat and my current foster dog (who only has three legs!) Kaitlyn went out of her way to go over the tripod's care and gave me updates on her improving mobility. She took great care of our pets and our home and I would use her again!”

“Brianna was a life saver! We were able to book and meet last minute for a weekend house sitting. I was definitely impressed by her versatility and expertise in caring for pets of all kinds. She provided great care for my dog with anxiety and two kittens! Brianna ensured they were well-fed, entertained, and snuggled. I highly recommend Brianna’s services to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy pet care!”

“This was my first time using Rover, Lizzy made it such a pleasant experience. She has a great energy about her and a clear love for animals. She was easy to communicate with and sent adorable pictures. Thank you so much!!”

“Mariah was amazing taking care of Darcy! She sent so many updates and pictures which was so nice to see while away on my trip. When I got back I could tell Darcy was well taken care of and very happy when I was gone. Thank you so much for being such a great person to watch my girl!”

About: I got my dog, Emma, when she was 6 weeks old. She is almost 8 years old now, and I’ve learned so much throughout these 8 years that make me confident I will take the best care of your pet. I work from home, so depending on my virtual meeting schedule, my availability is very open throughout most of the day. I am happy to help as much as I can! When I first come into the house I will check to make sure there are no accidents and the dog has food/water. I will be sure to leash any dog before taking it on walks and will spend time and play with your dog when we’re just hanging out back. Before leaving, I will ensure your dog is content until I come back for the next visit. Will be sure to send lots of pictures, and will check in with you before I arrive and after I leave.

I have always loved to spend time with animals which is why I have decided to sign up for rover. I would love to express my passion and help others have complete comfort when leaving their furry friend. I want my clients to know they’re with someone who is passionate & experienced with all that is needed for their pets care. At home I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 bunnies, and 2 guinea pigs! About: With years of hands-on experience, I confidently manage everything from senior dogs requiring precise medication schedules and gentle mobility adjustments to high-energy pups needing vigorous exercise and playful stimulation. I adapt seamlessly to your pet's specific routine, offering structured, attentive care that keeps aging companions comfortable and younger dogs happily exhausted. Your fur baby's safety, health, and happiness are always my top priorities. I currently have a full time position so through the week I am unavailable between 9am - 5pm. That said my full time job is unconventional in the sense I could go in later or leave earlier if needed! I am fully available Saturday and Sunday. Whether I am welcoming a pet into my own space or staying at a client's home, safety, open communication, and absolute respect for the environment are my top priorities. In Your Home (House Sitting & Drop-Ins) I treat your home with the utmost respect, treating it exactly as I would want my own to be treated. When providing overnight house sitting, I follow a strict "leave no trace" policy. Before you return, I will always: Wash the used sheets and towels. Deep clean the kitchen and ensure all dishes are put away. Take out the trash so you return to a fresh, welcoming space. Your pet’s physical and mental well-being is the core of my service. I don't just "watch" pets; I engage them. My care routine includes: Enriching Walks: I love taking dogs on structured, mentally stimulating walks where they can safely explore and sniff, which helps burn off mental anxiety and physical energy. Consistency: I strictly maintain any training commands, dietary schedules, and house rules you have in place to ensure your pet feels secure and routine-bound while you are away. Quality Playtime: For both dogs and cats, I dedicate focused time to interactive play (like puzzle toys, wand toys, or fetch) to keep them happy and engaged.

Presley was fantastic! She took great care of our dog and home while we were away. Communication was excellent, and we came home to a happy pup and a well-kept house. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable pet care.

Olivia is the best sitter we’ve ever had. She is highly professional, a great communicator, and completely trustworthy. We especially appreciated the photo updates she sent while we were traveling, which gave us total peace of mind. We highly recommend booking Olivia - your pets will be in excellent hands!

This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone other than my family and I was very worried and anxious. After finding Sydney & Evan I explained to them that I had an anxious dog and they offered to do a meet & greet which was great. My dog has a lot of anxiety meeting new people but Sydney & Evan were great and assured me they would take great care of him & my home. They were very respectful and left my home perfect and took great care of my dog even though he probably wasn’t the easiest. They gave me updates daily and I felt so comfortable having them take care of him. Highly recommend!

Mariah was just fantastic to our little guy Sammy! We had her take care of Sammy while we went to The Players golf tournament for four full days. She had to deal with all kinds of odd hours-but she always was happy to work with us on whatever timeframe was needed each day, Mariah is also a great communicator, and we always felt like Sammy was in great hands with her!! Anybody who needs someone to take care of their furry friend should book her immediately-they will be glad they did!! Thanks, Mariah, for making Sammy feel at home for those four days!!!
Dawn was great. She communicated clearly and gave me daily updates which was wonderful. She left the house tidy and clean. My two dogs absolutely loved her and I was able to feel at ease while away from them. I am grateful to have found her. Thank you so much Dawn!

Alexandria is the BEST!! She is very accommodating, I had to alter my days with her and she was able to still keep my CoCo Melon. If you want a true dog whisperer she is the one. Coco instantly took to her. Thaaaaaank You! You’re the BEST! I’m will definitely book with you for my next trip.

Taylor did an amazing job watching my dog Presley. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and I really appreciated the consistent updates. It was clear Presley was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. The house looked spotless when I arrived too. Taylor is reliable, thoughtful, and I will absolutely be booking with her again.

Highly recommend Bri! I was super nervous about leaving my dog while our family went on a cruise and she eased my mind and made my trip great! She sent updates and pictures throughout my trip. She stayed here and took awesome care of my dog! Took him on walks, car rides and just gave him so much love while i was gone. Highly recommend booking with Bri! I know I will be in the future :)

FAQs for House Sitting - Neptune Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Neptune Beach on Rover is $60 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,470 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Neptune Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Neptune Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Neptune Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Neptune Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Neptune Beach. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
