About: I have had pets since I was a young girl and as a pet owner myself, I value being a house/pet sitter. I have had quite a few clients over the past 9 years. I have given medication to senior dogs/cats, I have given some a special diet, and while a lot of the places I’ve house sat for have had yards for the animals to play in, I am also well versed in walking/running with my dog around my apartment complex. I have taken care of senior dogs, blind cats, rescues, feral cats, even a few chickens and cows in my time. I love following directions and I also love routine. Pet sitting is my full time job and responsibility. I’ll have plenty of time during the day to play with and walk your dogs. I live in an apartment complex so 1 dog would be ideal. I cared for my dog Maya, who was blind and diabetic, and I was responsible for administering her insulin and making sure she stayed safe, comfortable, and happy. I also cared for my soul dog Marcello, who developed anxiety in his later years and needed patience, consistency, and a calm environment. Both of my dogs were seniors who lived long, full lives (15 and 17), so I’m very comfortable with senior care, medication routines, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior or health. About: What sets me apart from many sitters is my lifelong experience with animals and my ability to genuinely connect with them quickly — especially pets who may be anxious, shy, older, highly attached to their owners, or simply used to lots of companionship and attention. Over the years, I’ve helped care for foster litters of puppies and kittens requiring around-the-clock feeding, monitoring, and weight tracking alongside my best friend, who is a veterinarian. I also have veterinary technician and shelter experience, along with hands-on experience caring for senior pets, administering medications, reinforcing basic puppy training, and supporting animals with special routines, anxieties, or medical needs. I’m currently working with one of my own dogs in service dog training, and I’m also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who previously worked with pre-K children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. About: I have 5 decades of experience with my own pets and sitting for many neighbors and friends pets. I believe everyone has that one pet that has stolen their heart. For me that was Nalah, our Chorkie for over a decade. I’m recently retired and have a lot of availability. This is in addition to having a huge love for animals. They are the best. All my neighborhood cats and dogs come to me when I walk the hood. I have a fenced yard and am on guard when pets are outside. I provide constant supervision inside and out. About: For 17 years I have been taking care of dogs (really animals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes) both of my own and for others too. There has never been a point in my life that I have not had a dog. Right before I was born, my parents got a beagle that I grew up with. I started taking care of her at a young age (I’d say even later than 17 years ago, just not notable enough to count for it) when she needed special baths for her skin condition, treatments for her ear infections, and catering to her broken arm after getting run over by a car. Before she passed, we got a husky. I helped train (on and off leash commands), groom, trim his nails, and learned how to speak husky. He was a very loved hand full. I learned so much from him because of all the trouble he made from running away, eating glue, chewing up the entire house… you name it, he did it. Through these lessons I have learned not only how to retain my patience and grace, but also how to be a beacon of support and reservoir of love for all fur babies. Nevertheless, when he got older, I gave him shots for his hip dysplasia and ensured he was most comfortable until the day my sister and I sat in the room with him on his way up to doggy heaven. Today, I have a great pyrenees who is a bundle of joy. Again, I have trained her, happily cater to her persistent anxiety--especially with thunderstorms--ensure she is exercised, groomed, and feeling loved. Currently I am working part-time and most of this is at home doing online research for school. Pet care is my daily routine anyways and I have a partner who often stays home to take care of our pup. He certainly supports me needing to fill my cup with more love in my heart from interacting with animals. Nevertheless, I love to help people out. I find that having a good, stable community is the most precious thing we can have as people. It takes a village and I am happy to be apart of that village.
