“Chas was a wonderful house-sitter and pet watcher! We returned home to super relaxed, happy pets and a clean home...and communication throughout our trip was exactly what we were looking for in order to rest assured that all was well. What a treat to go away and know that your pets and home are in good hands! Thank you, Chas!”

“This was our first house sitting with Rover and Nathan. Nathan always responded quickly in the app. He sent pictures while we were away. He played with Sadie and took good care of our property too. Will definitely use Nathan again. Sadie was very relaxed and happy when we returned home!”

“Brianna was fantastic! She was very detailed and truly cares about each one of my pets needs and handled them like a pro! I have a very shy cat who normally does not come out for sitters but was loving all over Brianna by day three, I am SO impressed!!! Energy doesn’t lie and she is an animal lover/caretaker to the core!”

“Great care giver for our dogs. Taylor has an excellent way with our big retrievers. She arrived on time and let us know when she was on the way.. she also gave us an update halfway through the evening. We will definitely ask for her services again.”

“Joanne is wonderful! We’ve used her multiple times and she has been so great to our pup every time. She’s always on time, quick to respond and sends pictures :) highly recommend!!”

About: With years of hands-on experience, I confidently manage everything from senior dogs requiring precise medication schedules and gentle mobility adjustments to high-energy pups needing vigorous exercise and playful stimulation. I adapt seamlessly to your pet's specific routine, offering structured, attentive care that keeps aging companions comfortable and younger dogs happily exhausted. Your fur baby's safety, health, and happiness are always my top priorities. I currently have a full time position so through the week I am unavailable between 9am - 5pm. That said my full time job is unconventional in the sense I could go in later or leave earlier if needed! I am fully available Saturday and Sunday. Whether I am welcoming a pet into my own space or staying at a client's home, safety, open communication, and absolute respect for the environment are my top priorities. In Your Home (House Sitting & Drop-Ins) I treat your home with the utmost respect, treating it exactly as I would want my own to be treated. When providing overnight house sitting, I follow a strict "leave no trace" policy. Before you return, I will always: Wash the used sheets and towels. Deep clean the kitchen and ensure all dishes are put away. Take out the trash so you return to a fresh, welcoming space. Your pet’s physical and mental well-being is the core of my service. I don't just "watch" pets; I engage them. My care routine includes: Enriching Walks: I love taking dogs on structured, mentally stimulating walks where they can safely explore and sniff, which helps burn off mental anxiety and physical energy. Consistency: I strictly maintain any training commands, dietary schedules, and house rules you have in place to ensure your pet feels secure and routine-bound while you are away. Quality Playtime: For both dogs and cats, I dedicate focused time to interactive play (like puzzle toys, wand toys, or fetch) to keep them happy and engaged.
“This was my first time using the Rover app and I was a little apprehensive about leaving Moby. Pia totally put my mind at ease with updates and pictures of Moby. She took excellent care of him and I will definitely rebook her in the future !!!”

“Sydney and Evan were very kind and professional. They took wonderful care of our dog and our home! Our dog has separation anxiety and they went above and beyond spending the extra time with him and putting him at ease. Definitely hoping they can help us again in the future.”

About: I got my dog, Emma, when she was 6 weeks old. She is almost 8 years old now, and I’ve learned so much throughout these 8 years that make me confident I will take the best care of your pet. I work from home, so depending on my virtual meeting schedule, my availability is very open throughout most of the day. I am happy to help as much as I can! When I first come into the house I will check to make sure there are no accidents and the dog has food/water. I will be sure to leash any dog before taking it on walks and will spend time and play with your dog when we’re just hanging out back. Before leaving, I will ensure your dog is content until I come back for the next visit. Will be sure to send lots of pictures, and will check in with you before I arrive and after I leave.
About: I have experience with my own senior dog that is loosing hearing and sight. I am good at giving medication and even cooking dog meals My other job is flexible and part time. I need something to fill in my time and supplement my income while doing something I love I will care for your pets as if they are my own fur babies. Give them my full attention and care for their individual needs
“We were so grateful to have been able to meet and book Trisha at the last minute! She was so accommodating to stay with our new rescue dog who has some separation anxiety, and as well as our cat. She was prompt, easy to work with and great at communicating & sending photos. Looking forward to booking with her again!”

“Ruby is AWESOME. Attentive, great communication, punctual, and warm. I didn’t think it was possible to feel comfortable leaving our babies in a strangers care but Ruby went above and beyond. We have a shy pup whose trust she was able to gain and an older dog that was delighted to have a snuggle bud for the day. I can’t recommend her enough and will absolutely use her in the future.”

“Kadence was awesome with my little crew. She was super attentive to their needs and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the week. I was able to enjoy my time away and not worry about them at all.”

“Kristin was awesome! Our dog loved her and she gave him took great care of him. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a polite, trustworthy sitter.”
About: We’ve owned many dogs before. We travel frequently for longer periods of time so we can’t have another of our own in this season. We still want to fill the time we are home with a dog in the house and be able to help out families. I work from home and my husband is a teacher so he is home mid afternoon and each evening. We are in and out during the weekends. We live very close to a dog park if that is something your dog is interested in and love going on walks around the neighborhood. We love spending time outside in the backyard or cuddled on the couch. We also have plenty of space if your dog prefers to be in a crate or on its own.
“Gabbi is amazing! Our Hershey is such an anxious girl but she is absolutely calm when Gabbi takes care of her when we go out of town. You have nothing to worry about. Your fur baby is in capable hands when you’re away. I 💯 wholeheartedly recommend Gabbi for all your loved one’s needs.”

“Stephanie took great care of Onyx. We booked her to housesit and stay at our place to watch Onyx. She was respectful of our home. She was very attentive to Onyx and her needs as a senior dog. Great communication. Great under pressure. Will definitely book with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Atlantic Beach
Olivia is the best sitter we’ve ever had. She is highly professional, a great communicator, and completely trustworthy. We especially appreciated the photo updates she sent while we were traveling, which gave us total peace of mind. We highly recommend booking Olivia - your pets will be in excellent hands!

This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone other than my family and I was very worried and anxious. After finding Sydney & Evan I explained to them that I had an anxious dog and they offered to do a meet & greet which was great. My dog has a lot of anxiety meeting new people but Sydney & Evan were great and assured me they would take great care of him & my home. They were very respectful and left my home perfect and took great care of my dog even though he probably wasn’t the easiest. They gave me updates daily and I felt so comfortable having them take care of him. Highly recommend!

Mariah was just fantastic to our little guy Sammy! We had her take care of Sammy while we went to The Players golf tournament for four full days. She had to deal with all kinds of odd hours-but she always was happy to work with us on whatever timeframe was needed each day, Mariah is also a great communicator, and we always felt like Sammy was in great hands with her!! Anybody who needs someone to take care of their furry friend should book her immediately-they will be glad they did!! Thanks, Mariah, for making Sammy feel at home for those four days!!!
Alexandria is the BEST!! She is very accommodating, I had to alter my days with her and she was able to still keep my CoCo Melon. If you want a true dog whisperer she is the one. Coco instantly took to her. Thaaaaaank You! You’re the BEST! I’m will definitely book with you for my next trip.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Atlantic Beach on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,483 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Atlantic Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Atlantic Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Atlantic Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Atlantic Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
