I always expect my dog sitters to keep me updated with photos and messages, so I will do just the same! I currently work fully from home, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets and make sure they have the potty breaks they need! I am very familiar with crate training, and am happy to accommodate that need! I also have a dog that is known for getting into things, so I am always hyper aware that everything is put away and out of reach from any pets. If your pet sleeps in bed with you, even better! I'm happy to accommodate to make your pet feel right at home with me.

“Portia was amazing. I’ve never been more pleased with someone looking over my dog. She even came over to meet the dog the day before just to get a feel for her and it was an instant match. I told her my dog loved other dogs and she ended up bringing her own for a play date which my dog loved. If I’m ever in need of a sitter again I’ll for sure be booking Portia!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
