“Sydney is a keeper. Both of my dogs and the family love how punctual she was. Her attention to detail and a healthy attention to both dogs. She made sure to send pictures and updates. My favorite part of our first Rover experience is that Chase’s ball broke and Sydney got him a new one. I love that she went the extra mile for Chase and for us.”

“We’ve worked with Dawn multiple times now, she is so reliable, a fast communicator and always leaves my pups happy and healthy. Thankful to have someone we can trust!”

“Ashli was able accomodate a last minute request for a drop-in so we could go on a day trip. Her communication was great, and she sent lots of photos. Thanks again!”

About: Recently moved here from our family farm in central Minnesota, I have experience in working with a multitude of animals. Any animal from dogs to cattle, poultry to pigs and cats to horses! I have experience in dog sitting for neighbors, friends and family with or without being paid. I have a walker hound back home on the farm who loves to run around the farm and lives to hunt so changing his environment from the farm to an apartment didn’t seem fair to do. I miss him dearly, and have such a love for dogs, I would take them all home if I could! I also have experience working on a pig farm as a farrowing technician (assisting in birthing) and all the daily cares and medications from the time they’re born until they are weaned to another farm - also medication administration for sick pigs, including injectables. I have experience and training done on caring for elderly horses. I have experience milking cows and caring for young calves. I have fostered and cared horses until they were able to find homes, which is always tough having to say goodbye and trust they are going to a good home. Out of all the animals in the world, my heart will always love dogs the most. I do enjoy having cats around, unfortunately I am allergic so I can’t have any of my own. But I love dogs with all my heart, I think it’s safe to say I love them more than people! I may be new to the state of Florida, but I have a lot of time and dedication to offer as I am a “stay at home wife” to a husband in the Navy. We will be in the area for the next 5 years, and I would love to meet some people and help with their pets in anyway I can! Even if it’s just a drop in visit so they don’t feels so alone for such a long stretch of the day. I am ready, able and willing to love and care for your dog just as you do! I have TWO letters of recommendation I can share from my previous employers as well. I am a wife to a husband is in the Navy, so anytime he’s gone, I would really love the company!! Currently looking for a part-time job here so I can easily accommodate to pet owners who need boarding services! I live in a secure apartment complex that has a gated parking lot and sidewalks, and a fenced in dog park. It’s very peaceful and quiet here but there’s other dogs to play with as well! I also spend a lot of time walking the beach on the Mayport Naval base and would be more than happy to get your dogs steps in somewhere besides the hot concrete! I don’t have any children yet, and my dog is back home on the farm in Minnesota - not pets here. Just my husband and I!

“Our boy is very happy we're home, but all the pix of him hugging and playing with Meg left us wondering if he was going to trade us in for a new hooman.”
“Aimee is an outstanding sitter for our two pet cats. She is the BEST communicator and you will know all details about each visit. She is great with both cats and goes out of her way to make sure the one takes her medicine. I appreciate everything she does while we are gone! Thanks Aimee!”

“Lizzy was great with our boy Milo over 4th of July weekend. We were in a pinch looking for a somewhat last minute sitter for our boy who doesn’t love fireworks. She was punctual, caring, and communicative.”

“Jackson was great at getting back to me for a last minute request. It was a hot day and I told him my lab would rather play in the pool versus go for a walk and he did not hesitate to indulge her. He was incredibly communicative with pictures and she was thoroughly exhausted for the rest of the day! I would definitely recommend him.”

“Elaina is amazing especially with a new puppy. My puppy wags her tail when I tell her that Elaina is coming over. She is such a blessing for someone who works longs shifts. 😊”

“We could not have been more pleased with how much care and attention Baylee showed toward our cat Biscuit while we were away. The detailed drop-in notes, photos and video let us know quite clearly he we being well taken care of. If you ever need someone to take care of your dog or cat and have hesitations using the Rover service put them aside, this was out 3rd time using service and they hire quality people that really care for your pet like they are their own.”

“I highly recommend Daisy! After our initial meet and greet, I felt very at ease leaving the care of my cat in her hands (especially with this being my first time ever using a pet sitter). She keeps great communication and responds very quickly to messages. I will definitely be seeking her services again in the future. Thank you so much!!”

“Taylor did an incredible job of taking care of our two 4 legged family members - Johnny, the naughty cat and Bella, our 10 year old teacup Yorkie. Bella is very shy, skittish as blind and Taylor was able to quickly gain her trust. She tended to their every needs and gave us thorough updates. I would highly recommend Taylor for you four legged families needs.”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet owner for over 30 years. My family always had cats and dogs when I was growing up and now I have 2 cats and a dog of my own. I am reliable, and respectful of not just the animals, but of people’s homes and routines as well. I will always put your pet’s needs first! Having 3 pets of my own, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your animals. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
