“I’m so grateful I found her! She is so great at communicating and always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind. I’m especially thankful that I’m able to use her for the month that I’m here. She has been so kind, reliable, and wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets! 🐾🤍”
“Bryce and his wife were able to come visit my kitty with only a days notice. They took their time to let him warm up to them and sent me pictures and great updates. Thankful to have some peace of mind that he was doing ok while I was gone.”

“★★★★★ Macy was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of both of my dogs while I was away, checking in three times a day and spending quality time walking, feeding, and interacting with them so they felt comfortable and secure. When Khaleesi unexpectedly became sick, Macy went above and beyond and took her to the emergency vet for me, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was out of state. She kept me fully informed throughout my entire trip and was dependable, caring, and attentive. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for dogs. I would absolutely trust Macy with my girls again and highly recommend her!”

“Isis was wonderful with our fur babies! Took tons of wonderful photos to update us on how everyone is doing. She was so flexible to help us last minute. Thank you Isis!!”

About: I volunteered at Ana’s Angels for 3 years, I walked the dogs, made them look nice and presentable for people wanting to adopt them, I fed them, gave them water, and cleaned up their poop. I will be able to do the same, if not more for your dog or puppy. I am a big animal lover, and would love to help you out! I have my own animal at home, but able to come during the day or board any cats that are friendly with other cats as needed. I will come to your home and take your pet and whatever they may need…if they need a walk, to be let out, fed/water, or even some love. I am very respectful and will follow whatever rules you oblige upon me, and will show your pet so much love and care!
“I was so pleased with Hirono’s communication and professionalism. She is super sweet and handled my hyper doggies very well. I will definitely book again! Thanks so much! It made me more at ease on my vacation knowing my dogs were well taken care of.”

“Tania did an amazing job watching over our pets the 4 days we were away. She had great attention to detail, checked in regularly with updates, and followed the instructions perfectly. Aspen seemed to love Tania! We would definitely recommend her to anyone and we plan on having her watch our pets again in the future!”

“Megan was phenomenal with Bella! She kept us updated on how she was doing and sent pictures. Bella is a 7 month old puppy and Megan worked with some puppy training in her visit . We could tell was very comfortable with Megan.”

“Brooke is hands down amazing. Our 3-week work trip turned into a month and Brooke went above and beyond for our 2 beautiful kitties. Many who aren’t cat owners believe that cats are just fine alone and can be for many days at a time. That is a huge myth and our babies are extremely social furballs. Brooke spent an hour every other day with them, playing and cuddling and I know that they were in fantastic hands. She is extremely professional and quick to respond. Seriously don’t look at any other sitter because she is the best you will find in the area. A few years ago when we used Rover for the first time we were gone 23 days, the sitter that we paid to come over every other day decided to just not come by about halfway through our vacation. Our cats ripped through their food bag, their water was just about empty, and litter box overflowing. Animals are the most innocent creatures that rely on us to protect and keep them alive. Brooke not only sent us an abundant amount of photos she really cares about your animal and ensures they are extremely well cared for. I cannot thank her enough and will be definitely rebooking in the future. Seriously do not book anyone else, she’s a rock star I can’t say it enough.”

“Josilyn is wonderful with animals and a lifesaver! She was able to stop by and give me peace of mind during an emergency. I was in a stressful situation and she took some of the pressure off so that I could deal with what was happening in the moment. Priceless!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - San Mateo
I booked Little Zoo Care - Tania for the first time during a last-minute holiday crunch, and she absolutely delivered. She and her team were incredibly professional, reliable, and attentive with both dog walking and drop-in visits. Before getting started, she did a thorough walk-through and made sure to ask for consent before doing anything, which gave me complete confidence and peace of mind. As someone who has been a sitter on Rover myself and has used many sitters over the years, I can confidently say that Tania is the best I’ve worked with on this app. Her communication, care, and professionalism are truly exceptional. I’ll definitely be booking her again for Reina and Yves. Five stars — highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
