“Bryce and his wife were able to come visit my kitty with only a days notice. They took their time to let him warm up to them and sent me pictures and great updates. Thankful to have some peace of mind that he was doing ok while I was gone.”

About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs, family friends’ dogs, and other pets. I currently care for three dogs and two pet snakes, so I’m familiar with meeting the needs of different animals and keeping a consistent routine. I’ve helped raise two litters of puppies, giving me experience with dogs from newborns through their senior years. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, cleaning enclosures, playtime, and giving medication when clear instructions are provided. Most of my experience is with small dogs, though I’ve also cared for larger breeds, including a pit bull. I’m comfortable working with dogs of different personalities, whether they’re energetic, shy, or anxious. I believe every dog deserves patient, attentive care and someone who treats them with the same love and respect they give us. This stays truthful while highlighting your experience in a way that helps build trust with potential clients. I’m currently a college student with a flexible schedule. I’m available before 9:00 AM and after 1:00 PM on weekdays, and I’m available all day Friday through Sunday. I do my best to keep my calendar up to date and respond promptly so pet parents know they can count on me. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications with clear instructions. I understand that every pet has a different personality, so I adjust my approach to help them feel comfortable, whether they’re energetic, shy, or anxious. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible while providing plenty of attention, affection, and care. I’ll also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pet is safe and happy

About: I’ve always lived with many cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve had a variety of pets of all ages including rabbits, snakes, bearded dragons, hamsters. I’ve also fostered many kittens and puppies and I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats, the majority rescues. I’m a huge animal lover! I am mostly a stay at home mom with 4 pets. We take the dogs on daily walks and sometimes to the park. We are always spending time outdoors in our spacious back yard with our dogs running around and cats climbing trees and roofs and such! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats both very friendly if spending time together! I also have a fenced in yard with a garden. I have a separate indoor petroom stocked with a couple crates (if needed for my big dog), enclosed cat litter boxes, a large cat climbing tree, plenty of pet food and treats, many water bowls and toys for all! And a very family friendly neighborhood for walks and a spacious (not fenced) park as well.
“Matthew was terrific!! By the second day my shy cat was playing with him and getting pets by the third. Thank you for an excellent job! I will definitely book Matthew for future travel.”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs since I was born. I've always loved to spend time with them and have been responsible of feeding, cleaning, and grooming them ever since I can remember. I have a full-time job right now, but was looking to spend my free time doing something I enjoy and I cound imagine any time better spent than with the friendliest creatures I can think of: dogs. I keep my dogs in my house all the time so they are always surrounded by us and are constantly being cared for and entertained.
“Hirono did a fantastic job caring for my four cats for a weekend trip away. She communicated well, was punctual for 2x/day visits, and put me completely at ease leaving my babies in her capable hands. I've never had a catsitter who scooped the litterbox during visits, so I felt that was an amazing touch. I very much enjoyed my first booking with Rover; the daily report cards and pictures were so cute and much appreciated, and I would definitely rebook with Hirono again. Thank you!”

“First time booking with Katherine and will absolutely book again! She communicates wonderfully, included great pics and took excellent care of our babies! Highly recommend.”

About: I volunteered at Ana’s Angels for 3 years, I walked the dogs, made them look nice and presentable for people wanting to adopt them, I fed them, gave them water, and cleaned up their poop. I will be able to do the same, if not more for your dog or puppy. I am a big animal lover, and would love to help you out! I have school Tuesdays and Thursday and have work for a few hours on Monday and Wednesday’s. I am available to be able to stay over to check-in with the dogs and stay the night there. I will come to your home and take your pet and whatever they may need…if they need a walk, to be let out, fed/water, or even some love. I am very respectful and will follow whatever rules you oblige upon me, and will show your pet so much love and care!
“Brooke was absolutely amazing with our pups! She took such great care of them and left the cutest little note and photo for us when we got home. She was on time for every visit, and sent very detailed reports each time. It gave us total peace of mind on our day trip south knowing our dogs were in good hands. We will definitely be using Brooke again and highly recommend her!”

“Megan was super responsive and available for last minute trips which was super helpful to have in my back pocket. Thank you for caring for my fur babies”

“Tania did an amazing job watching over our pets the 4 days we were away. She had great attention to detail, checked in regularly with updates, and followed the instructions perfectly. Aspen seemed to love Tania! We would definitely recommend her to anyone and we plan on having her watch our pets again in the future!”

“Charlotte was amazing. Very communicative and very flexible with my schedule when things took a last minute turn on both ends of our trip. Would highly recommend. She was amazing with our two furious furries!”

About: As the saying goes, we truly do not deserve our pets. Most of us know this already. But our pets do deserve someone who not only recognizes this fact, but actively works to desperately earn that love and affection they shower us with day in and day out. I am that person :) I am currently between jobs with a bit of a financial cushion to keep me steady for a few months. This will fit in perfectly with my schedule because it’s completely free right now. I am in school right now for Human Services but that will not affect my work. My girl (Maggie) has her crate from when she was a puppy and that’s still very roomy for her, but she doesn’t use it really unless she’s pouting before i leave and she knows she’s not going with me. My house is very clean and she always has fresh water, plenty of potty breaks and lots of pets. Maggie is a bit of a ‘petmaxxer’ where she will consistently bother me until she receives enough pets, but let me tell you, there is never enough pets for her! She’s is my life.
About: As a young child in kindergarten , I told my mother I wanted to become a “dog catcher”. I have no idea what that is but I know I have always had a passion for dogs. I have two dogs of my own. I have always had dogs around me growing up so i have a lot of experience on caring for them. I work from home full time . My working days are M-W & then on Saturday. I’ll have plenty of time to watch your pets I have a fenced yard and I also have a little yorkie chihuahua mixed dog that lives with me and gets along well with other animals.
“Cheyenne has been great as always . Our cats love her and they are in good hands . Highly recommended. She is caring , loving , keeps you informed of everything and great pictures . Can’t praise her enough .”
About: I have experience watching both cats and dogs for over 10 years, some being my own and mostly others! I have a disabled dog currently who I care for, giving me experience with medications and specialized care. I also have had two cats with health issues so I am well versed in specialized care for them as well. I look forward to meeting your babies! I am a student currently with a fairly flexible schedule. I will have a completely open schedule starting the week after Thanksgiving to Christmas as well! I am very careful with any animal I care for. I ensure we have a meet and greet prior to make sure I am completely comfortable in safely caring for your baby❤️

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - San Mateo
Rae was an amazing sitter for my senior cat. Rae went above and beyond and followed my instructions perfectly and helped me when my plans changed with the booking. Rae was prompt and great with animals. I would recommend Rae to anyone looking for a reliable cat sitter.
I booked Little Zoo Care - Tania for the first time during a last-minute holiday crunch, and she absolutely delivered. She and her team were incredibly professional, reliable, and attentive with both dog walking and drop-in visits. Before getting started, she did a thorough walk-through and made sure to ask for consent before doing anything, which gave me complete confidence and peace of mind. As someone who has been a sitter on Rover myself and has used many sitters over the years, I can confidently say that Tania is the best I’ve worked with on this app. Her communication, care, and professionalism are truly exceptional. I’ll definitely be booking her again for Reina and Yves. Five stars — highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
