Safety, trust & environment
I currently rent an apartment so I will always travel to my clients homes to care for their animals. I am happy to walk your dog or play with your cat depending on their needs.
Information Rae K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know the breed, approximate age, sex, and spay/neuter status of your pet. Any allergies, or medical conditions that will effect their daily life. As well as their general behavior around things such as other dogs, kids, new adults, noises and car rides.
A typical day
I have found that dogs need both mental and physical stimulation to lead complete and fulfilling lives. To achieve this I like to do a variety of things while on a walk. They are allowed sniffing time, where your dog is in charge of where we go. I like to do this in fields or wooded areas. If we stick to the neighborhood then I love to do what I call a training walk. We change our pace often, stop randomly and perform basic positional cues such as sit, down and focus. We alternate between loose leash walking and heel. For dogs without any leash skills or those whose owners would prefer it, dog parks or open areas to play fetch in are also one of my go to activities. Teaching dogs a variety of games to play with toys and bones to get them moving and keep them engaged with me. Senior dogs and those with limited mobility love to play games at home like hide and seek! Lots of belly rubs and snuggles for them too! And all my games can be modified so that I can meet the needs of other disabled pets as well. If the weather is bad I like to take my dogs to pet friendly stores. This gives them a different kind of environment and allows for some new stimulation.

Pet care experience
I have been professionally taking care of dogs of all sizes and breeds for almost 10 years now, since Jan. 2013. I owned and operated a dog training, walking and boarding company in VA before moving to FL. I have rehabilitated hundreds of dogs with several rescue groups. I've works with 4 week old puppies (found abandoned), to 15 year old senior dogs, to blind/deaf dogs, to diabetic dogs, to service dogs. This is my full time job, walking, training and caring for dogs and cats. I'm looking to find new clients in my new area to help with their pet care needs.
Reviews

She is awesome! Enough said. Very good with all of my pets!

Rae did a great job house sitting for us. She stayed in our home, sent daily updates and photos, and was always quick to respond. The communication throughout was great and the dogs were clearly happy and comfortable the whole time. It's a relief to come home to a house in good order and dogs that aren't stressed. Would definitely book again.

My fur babies had such a great experience! She was incredibly attentive and made sure I stayed updated the whole time with pictures and check-ins. I felt completely at ease knowing my pups were in such caring hands. Highly recommend!
Rae met and exceed my expectations
