“Briana was phenomenal!!! We entrusted her with our 3 dogs (one of them being diabetic) and 4 cats while we went half way around the world (we live in Georgie, USA and went to the country of Austria). She kept us constantly updated with frequent messages and photos which allowed us to enjoy and focus on our trip and not have to worry about the wellbeing of our fur babies … we highly recommend Briana for further trips.”

“Morgan was great with our two senior dogs. She was very attentive and had no trouble giving meds (including eye drops). She sent lots of photos and updates. It’s really hard when you move to a new place to find someone to care for your pets and we are thankful to have found her!”

“Bianca was super responsive and sweet! She took great care of my 2 kitties and my elder baby :) Even handled an unexpected potty accident! OMG! Thank you!! The house was in perfect condition when we came back as well. Great experience”

“Adrienne was awesome! She went above and beyond to hang out with my pups and keep me constantly updated with pictures and videos so I could enjoy my vacation instead of worrying about my pups. Will definitely contact her again when I head out of town. Thanks for everything ?”

“Darci is a great sitter. I used her for house sitting for three days. My dog was not even excited to see me when I returned. She is a great communicator. I will definitely be using her often.”

“Amari is amazing! She stayed over several nights with our dog Dallas. Dallas is a bit anxious and Amari was so attentive to her, handled her medication perfectly and was a wonderful house guest as well. We will definitely choose her again if available.”

“Stephanie is outstanding!!!! She took care of all our animals, she was super sweet with them and they all clearly *loved* her! She went above and beyond in caring for them and helped me stay consistent with any of their special needs and catered to their quirks. She sent me tons of cute pictures and videos of them all at least twice a day 🥰 and was consistently communicative, which helped me just enjoy my trip and be able to rest assured about whether the animals were happy, safe, and comfy - something I'm always worried about that I actually didn't feel worried about this time. The house was just as we'd left it, and I think everyone actually misses her. 💕 But, she's amazing - I definitely recommend booking with her (unless it's when I'm out of town lol!).”

“Taylor is very respectful & followed instructions. She went above & beyond with patience with Bella. (Who is scared of strangers). They became friends quickly. She’s prompt & on time. Bella Buddy & I approved!”

About: As a dog owner myself I know how important it is to choose the right people to help with your dogs need as well as your schedule! Allow me to help. I hope to talk with you soon! Your pets needs are my priority. It is important to help take care of your pup just as good as you do! I currently have open availability How you leave your home is how you will come home to it! I’m here to help keep your dogs schedule and routine as you’d like it.
About: If you are seeking the best home away from home experience for your pet than look no further. Here at our modern 4,500 square foot home on ½ acre your baby will become a member of our family. He or she has full access to anywhere in the house or backyard so long as they are in close proximity to family. At no point will your pet ever be alone without a human nearby. Your baby will receive one-on-one attention and to ensure this we will typically not take more than 3 dog families. All our four-legged guests are expected to curl next to us on the sofa or lay nearby on the cool tile while we watch television. They will sleep in cozy pet beds in our bedroom or if they prefer snuggle next to us in our beds. They will receive custom baked dog cookies, gourmet treats, or non-rawhide bones. Most importantly they will receive lots of stimulation, attention, and love. The lucky pets who get to stay with us have access to six members of the family. My husband, Joe, and I are retired and we have the time to dedicate to our guests. Joe generally spends more time with the larger dogs. He is ex-military and the dogs that prefer structure, discipline, and exercise gravitate to him. My kids call me “the pied-piper of dogs” and usually the smaller to middle sized dogs follow me around since I am the one who feeds them and provides long belly rubs and behind the ear scratches. My college-aged daughter lavishes her time on the puppies and typically whisks them away into her bedroom. My 16-year-old son spends many afternoons outside playing fetch with the dogs or wrestling with them in the family room. He takes our higher energy dogs for a 45-minute vigorous walk or run around the neighborhood if requested. My Aunt lives with us and she pitches in to make special meals for our finicky eaters or bake healthy treats. She is integral in keeping the house sanitized and tidy. Lastly is Bosley, our rambunctious Havanese pup, who is the boss. He helps let us know which pets we can accept as our guests. He can be playful but he spends more time napping or munching on his Nylabone. We have set up our pet sitting business to rival and compete with the well-known pet resorts in the area. Dogs can enter and exit the home/yard multiple times a day for no extra charge. The yard is fully-fenced with a shady pergola and a screened in lanai with a doggy door. On warm days we will fill up a small pool for our four-legged guests who enjoy the water. If your pet has over indulged and gotten very dirty we will provide a bath if he/she is cooperative. We take extra precautions to protect our dogs from trying to escape our home or backyard or chewing on things that they shouldn’t. If your dog has health issues or prefers not to be with any of our guests, I can accommodate him/her. There is a second family room upstairs and your dog can lounge while I watch television or complete some daily tasks on the computer. I do this often for our smaller or more sensitive pups. We never charge for extra play or cuddle time. I send multiple photos and videos of your babies everyday and in fact have scheduled FaceTime/WhatsApp calls for owners and their pets. We never crate any guest unless you specifically request it. They are not locked away in a concrete “suite” at night and extra charges will not apply if your pet needs to sleep alone in another room with one of us. If your pet needs that extra dose of personal attention and enjoys human interaction and a family setting we offer a unique experience that few can match. My husband and I are retired and can dedicate attention to our four-legged friends. In addition, my daughter, son, and Aunt all pitch in to help care and lavish attention on every one of our guests. We generally only care for pets in our home. There is always a member of the household watching the pets at all times and more often than not it is my husband or myself.
“Yessica and Ray were great with our 3 dogs! Very responsive, gave one of our dogs the meds he needed, gave all 3 the much needed play time too!”

“Jacksonville, we did you a massive solid by giving this site another chance and running into Tayler. To be honest, I kind of hate writing this because I know she’s going to get booked up, but she is simply too good not to praise. After a string of terrible experiences with other sitters on Rover (ranging from no-shows to theft and all the in-betweens), we were ready to give up on this site entirely. Then came Tayler. What an immediate game-changer! From the moment she walked in for the meet-and-greet, our fur babies were absolutely drawn to her positive energy. We have quite the wild pack...from an overactive puppy, a sweet, lazy senior dog, and a sassy but loveable cat. Tayler accepted the challenge and handled them all in a way only a seasoned expert could. She watched them for a few days while we were out of town and did great. She followed every instruction to the letter, kept us updated with photos, and left our house cleaner than she found it. Most importantly, our pets were incredibly happy and well-cared for when we got home. Tayler is the absolute best! Will book again. Please share her time...it's only fair since we found her and spread the word! 😂”

“Sam was absolutely perfect with our pets and our home. Everyone was happy when we got back and Sam even left a light on for us as we were returning after dark. Highly recommend him to take care of your pets and home. He’s such a calm presence that even our high strung Chinese Crested took to him in no time.”

“Laura was great! She sent me regular updates and pictures of Cash, my greyhound. He was very happy and content when I got home from my trip. I will definitely have Laura come and stay with him again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Araquey
This was our first time leaving our dog in our home with a sitter and we had a great experience with Michelle. She was a good communicator and cared for our dog per our instructions. Getting videos of Michelle playing with our dog gave us piece of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!

Bella was AWESOME!!! Highly recommend!!! My wife and I were nervours at first because this was the first time using Rover and finding someone we did not know to watch our fur babies. She agreed to come and meet us and our furbabies prior to the actual date. Our dogs (dogs are the best judges of character) loved her from the moment she entered the house. Bella was in constant communication with us, sending text messages and pictures. She is a sweet and kind person. Very responsible. I would definitely use her again in the future.
Linda was an amazing dog sitter for our cocker spaniel. She was willing to stay in our home for a long weekend and keep our elder dogs routine. Surprising she coaxed our dog to visit the beach and take a surf side walk. When we returned our happy dog met us at the door and was full of stories as well as dogs can communicate. Linda was trustworthy and respectful in our home. We highly recommend Linda Kane.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Araquey walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Araquey maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Araquey choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Araquey. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
