“Elizabeth was WONDERFUL. Elizabeth is kind & sweet and I know she gave loving care to Billy. Elizabeth sent us pictures everyday with updates as to how the day went. Which was always a good day with Billy. Elizabeth is responsible caring not only for our dog Billy but also our home. Highly recommend Elizabeth, oh, our house was cleaner when we came home than when we left.”

“Amari took the best care of my pup. She sent communication updates, pictures, and went above and beyond to ensure the house was in great shape for my return. I would definitely book Amari again!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all of my life and started professionally pet sitting about 10 years ago when I retired. I have a fenced yard and can also walk your dogs throughout in my neighborhood if it’s under 50 lbs (for safety reasons). I’m 75 and am home during the day to cuddle your furry babies! Most days, I’ll go out to run errands or go to the gym. I like to take a walk in the morning by myself around my neighborhood. I’m at home the rest of the day usually unless I have an appointment. I have a fenced backyard and a screened in porch. I don’t require a crate for your dog or cat as long as they are potty trained.
About: With over 15 years of dog walking experience and 3 years as a full time pet sitter, I provide dependable, attentive care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and needs. From energetic pups who love long walks to senior dogs who prefer a slower pace, Reliability, communication, and safety are my top priorities, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Your pets will be cared for like family with patience, respect, and love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I’m home about 90% of the time and have a fully open schedule. I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of attention throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and will be cared for in a calm, attentive environment. I care for every pet like they’re my own. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress free. Whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, or cuddle time. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and lots of love, and I always send updates and photos so you feel connected while you’re away.
“Kelly did a wonderful job staying with our dog while we were away for almost 2 weeks. She consistently sent photos and updates. We arrived home to a clean house and a happy pup. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. :-)”

About: I have grown up around dogs and cats and I absolutely love any pets. I would rather spend my day with an animal than a human. Before moving to St. Augustine a couple of years ago for college we had 2 dogs (black lab and a dachshund) and 2 cats (ragdoll and a Maine coon/ chausie mix) in the house. My roommate last year rescued a dog so I lived with the puppy all of last school year (doberman/huski/anything you can think of mix) I currently am pet less and not enjoying it so I would love to take care of your pets whenever you need! I am a full time college student end of august - beginning of may so having a pet to take care of is a great stress reliever and also a good distraction. I love taking care of other people and animals so having pet care to look forward to is an amazing feeling Caring for pets in my home means that I would “baby” proof the home (putting up foods or anything the pet could get into, making sure the house is clean and a safe environment for the animal, providing constant available water and attention to the animal and obviously food/ meals when needed). Caring for a pet in my clients home would mean that I respect their privacy and their home, following instructions that are given and exactly how they are given, putting my full attention on the pet to make sure that they are constantly safe)
About: Hi! My name is Lindsey and I currently live in Lancaster, PAl. I have always loved dogs and have had one since I was 11 including a husky, black lab, and great pyrenees. I currently have a black lab/german shepherd mix back home in baltimore that I miss very much and would love to be able to help others out with their dogs. Aside from having my own dogs, I also have experience watching and walking dogs of all ages and sizes. I am used to owning and watching dogs with all levels of energy so I am adaptable to the dog's needs. I do go to school full time for nursing so I have a set schedule I will be able to work around.
“Magdalena was a blessing at the last minute for house sitting with our 2 year old GSD. He absolutely loved her and was sure to keep us posted during the weekend of what he was doing. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy!!!”

“Bianca was super responsive and sweet! She took great care of my 2 kitties and my elder baby :) Even handled an unexpected potty accident! OMG! Thank you!! The house was in perfect condition when we came back as well. Great experience”

“Fiona did an excellent job caring for our two dogs! She followed our every direction, provided daily updates, and sent us photos throughout the sittings. She is responsible and thorough.”

“Molly is just wonderful! We were informed of our pups day and such great photos of the happy pups. She is the best. We where impressed with her professional attitude and care.”

About: I bring years of firsthand experience from raising and caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as pet sitting for my neighborhood. I know how important it is to keep dogs active and safe while respecting a cat's unique boundaries. From walks and precise feeding schedules to keeping everything clean, I will treat your pets with the highest level of care. I work part-time at a local summer school club, which gives me a very stable, predictable schedule. Because my hours are part-time, I have plenty of open availability during the week and open availability on weekends to dedicate entirely to walking, playing with, and loving on your sweet pets! As an owner of both dogs and cats, pet safety is my absolute top priority. Whether I am visiting your home or caring for your pet, I make sure the environment is secure, clean, and completely hazard-free. I strictly follow all of your specific feeding, crate, and leash rules to ensure your fur baby is completely safe and comfortable.
“RUN, don’t walk - to hire Tayler for all of your pet’s needs. I’ve had my fair share of lackluster dog sitters (even from this app, unfortunately) and Tayler goes above and beyond on every front. It started with the meet and greet - I have two anxious beagle girls who get a bit stressed with new people in the house. The moment she walked in, they were at ease, barely made a fuss and were asking for belly rubs within a few minutes (lol I swear pets can sense great energy.) Tayler stayed at our place for a few days while we were away and kept us very updated with walks, happy photos and with any questions she had about our place. She’s kind, nurturing and is exactly the person I needed to find for me to feel *amazing* about leaving them with someone. I just know her calendar is going to fill up quickly - so don’t hesitate to book her ASAP 👏”

About: Hey there, you can call me Bee! :) I've had a mix of animals my whole life, from goats and chickens and cats and dogs in my childhood, to my own small zoo today! I have three cats and a dog at home, and as a result I have experience handling multiple animal personalities and making sure they all feel safe and comfortable during transitions, such as going to the vet, meeting a new friend, etc. I love to walk and enjoy taking my dog along so she can really soak up the sun and burn off energy. I am available for early morning drop-ins, as well as fully available after 4pm during the week! Weekends are completely open. :) No matter how long or short the visit, I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure their needs are met each time. I ensure that my home is a clean environment safe for pets at ALL times. This means no human food left unsupervised, no toxic plants, and no access to chemicals/medications/other no-nos. I also enjoy catering to pets' needs, whether that is hyper playtime or serene strolls!

I work from home part time but ant an hospital part time. Sometimes (rarely though) I go away for the weekend to go camping and site seeing. Your babies are welcome to come. They will hike and smell fresh air also. If traveling together, I like to give them a safety harness so they are secure and safe in the car. When I’m home it’s unrestricted access and with your babies. When I work I work from 9-4 in JAX. It it’s flexible and I’ll pay to have someone let your guys out if we need a mid-day walk. “Adrienne was awesome! She went above and beyond to hang out with my pups and keep me constantly updated with pictures and videos so I could enjoy my vacation instead of worrying about my pups. Will definitely contact her again when I head out of town. Thanks for everything ?”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vilano Beach
Bella was AWESOME!!! Highly recommend!!! My wife and I were nervours at first because this was the first time using Rover and finding someone we did not know to watch our fur babies. She agreed to come and meet us and our furbabies prior to the actual date. Our dogs (dogs are the best judges of character) loved her from the moment she entered the house. Bella was in constant communication with us, sending text messages and pictures. She is a sweet and kind person. Very responsible. I would definitely use her again in the future.
Katie is totally awesome and I would give her a 10 if allowed! Our fur baby loves her. She exercises her with walks, plays with her in the back yard and even chases her around the counter/hallway. She leaves Coco happy to have her here - so much so that Coco will look around the house after she has left hoping for her play pal. Cannot say enough good things about Katie. You will not go wrong to hire her to watch your pet and home.
Linda was an amazing dog sitter for our cocker spaniel. She was willing to stay in our home for a long weekend and keep our elder dogs routine. Surprising she coaxed our dog to visit the beach and take a surf side walk. When we returned our happy dog met us at the door and was full of stories as well as dogs can communicate. Linda was trustworthy and respectful in our home. We highly recommend Linda Kane.
Carly was fantastic! While I was away, she kept my very active pup busy with walks, fetch, and romping with her sweet and energetic dog Moose. Her communication before and during her stay were great. She is dependable and responsible and I would absolutely recommend her if you need a dog sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - Vilano Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,054 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Vilano Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Vilano Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Vilano Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vilano Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vilano Beach. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
