About: I might not have ever owned dogs myself, due to allergies within my family, but don’t fear! I have always been first choice amongst my parents friends/family to dog sit! I’ve always done a great job & felt confident in my care giving, instruction following, and love and play giving. 🤗 I decided to lean more into my side hustles, and this would be a great additive to keep me moving, having an extra dollar in my pocket, keeping me involved and present with animals, and to be of service to my community. All which I value greatly! My side hustles include running Markets (Mom’s Elderberry booth at the Riverside Arts Market), Basketball/Sports photography, home/kitchen/fridge/depression room cleaning services + energy cleansing, Social Media Managing, creating/selling my own art, and a bunch of other random stuff along the way! I include this information to benefit your understanding of me as a person as well as just in case you have a need for any other service and would like to see if I’m fit for the job :) I am cleanly, careful, and I won’t creep around in your space. I will make our interactions quick, easy, and painless. I will do my very best to consistently keep you in the loop, send you picture updates of your babies, and follow your instructions just as they’re given. If I have questions or would like further direction, I will not be afraid of asking you. I’m a team player and would like to make this service to you feel like a breath of fresh air.
“Meghan was great! She came to meet my kitties before hand which made me feel much more comfortable leaving them at home. Received daily pictures and update and knew they were in great hands!”

“I am so grateful for her services. She has been a blessing to me and my animals. She is honest and thorough and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of. She has a genuine love for animals.”

About: I have about three years of hands-on pet care experience, caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m patient, attentive, and very mindful of routines, feeding schedules, and safety. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new, and I treat every animal with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I also have a son so I know how important it is to be able to trust someone to care of your loved one(s). I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be present, attentive, and consistent with pet care. I plan my days carefully around my work schedule and my son’s daycare so pets receive proper attention, walks, playtime, and calm companionship without being rushed. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow all care instructions closely, keep pets in clean and calm environments, and make sure they’re always supervised appropriately. I respect each pet’s routine and temperament and communicate clearly with owners to ensure peace of mind while they’re away.
“Jennifer did a great job looking after my cat while I was away. She kept in touch and sent photos to let me know everything was okay. Will definitely use her services again!”
“Mandy was so helpful and took great care of our pup over the holiday weekend. She was an excellent communicator and knew how to handle our nervous girl well. We will be booking again with Mandy”

About: I have grown up having pets and over the years house sat or taken care of many family, friends and church family pets. Love to play with them as well!! I am more available in the evenings and weekends. I have the flexibility to help out when and where I can when needed as well. I treat other people pets as if they were my own and would care for them the same way. My home is clean and safe and do what it takes to keep your pet safe too.
“Corey did an excellent job taking care of our cats while we were gone for a week. She came at the agreed upon time everyday, followed our instructions perfectly and sent pictures!”

About: I have cared for cats since I was about 10 years old and dogs since I was 15. I have volunteered in shelters for over a decade and have worked for a veterinary clinic for the past 4 years. I have experience with in home pet sitting as well as drop by visits. I can give most medications and love detailed instructions to give the best care possible. I currently work part time in the evenings and will be in college in the spring/fall time. I am available during the summer most hours and am happy to make things work as best as possible. I do not have a yard but live in a smaller HOA with areas to take longer walks and many grass spots for potty breaks. In my home the fur baby will have free rein of the upstairs and downstairs as long as I am home or will have the second bedroom to their selves. In the clients home I love a detailed list so I can do whatever the fur kiddo is used to on a daily routine.

About: Meet Sarah — A Lifelong Animal Lover You Can Trust Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. From dogs and cats to rabbits and even flying squirrels, I’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of creatures — and that deep love for animals is exactly what I bring to every sitting experience. At home, I share my days with three beloved pets of my own: Molly, my sweet 14-year-old chocolate lab; Tom, my spirited 11-year-old Catahoula leopard lab mix; and Harley, my 3-year-old cat. Living with senior dogs has given me firsthand experience with the extra patience, attentiveness, and gentle care that older pets need — and I genuinely cherish that slower, more intentional bond. I’ve been providing in-home pet sitting for many years, stepping into people’s homes and making sure their furry family members feel safe, loved, and right at home — because they are at home. I adapt completely to each pet’s personality and routine, whether they need quiet companionship, active playtime, or simply a calm and reassuring presence. I’m comfortable administering medications and have experience caring for pets with special needs. Overnight stays are no problem — I know how much it means to have someone truly dedicated watching over your pet through the night. When you leave your dog or cat in my care, you’re leaving them with someone who sees pets as family. I can’t wait to meet yours. 🐾 During the school year, I teach culinary arts at the high school level and coach volleyball in the fall and lacrosse in the spring — so my schedule is full and purposeful. But my love for animals doesn’t take a season off. Weekends, afternoons, and evenings are when I’m most available, and summers and holiday breaks are when I’m all in. Those stretches are my busiest and most dedicated pet care seasons, and I genuinely look forward to them. When I’m with your pet, I’m not squeezing it in — I’m fully present and happy to be there. When I step into your home, my goal is simple: your pet shouldn’t feel like anything has changed. I follow your routines, respect your rules, and bring the same warmth and attentiveness I give my own animals. Whether that means quiet companionship on the couch, a walk around the neighborhood, or simply making sure a nervous cat knows they’re safe — I meet each pet where they are. Your home stays tidy, your pet stays comfortable, and you get updates so you can actually relax while you’re away.
About: I have 8 pets of my own. 1 Dog (Cane Corso) and 7 cats, I also care for community animals as well. I have always walked my dogs, so I’m used to dog walking not just letting them out in the yard (if that’s what you’re looking for). I have fur-baby sat my friends and neighbors dogs. Most of the time it’s large breeds, like APBT, Akita, Shepherds. I used to have a Belgian Malinios as well, so I am familiar with high energy breeds. In my free time I also help my friend with her mobile pet care business. Since I have my own, I know how important it is to pay attention to the owner’s directions, when pet sitting. I have a full time job, and can do morning drop and evening drop ins. Depends on the days I can do middle of the day as well. It’s all based on your needs, and I would obviously not commit to anything that I can’t follow through with. I prefer a meet and greet with the owner and the pet before the actual service, as I want to make sure the pet is familiar with me, and also that I can follow the exact instructions the owner has for me.
About: I have my own doggies, they are both 3! I’m used too picking up the pet care when parents leave to go out of town and just take stress off their shoulders! Friends and family, cats and dog i’ve always been the one they call. I’m used to very strategic routines with my baby’s so i’m willing to do the same for yours. Doing the best in every way to make my stay with them as comfortable as possible! I currently work 5 days a week 8-2pm and i’m looking too pick up something i’m actually interested in, We all know how a high school job can last after high school when it wasn’t planned and i’m very interested in baby sitting and pet sitting for people and just giving back the love i share with my animals where it’s needed! I have a fenced in yard for both of my puppies and everyday i come home and make sure they get plenty of play time with me. They have a routine with me, I feed them every evening at 5pm and give them supplements for their health so they live the longest and happiest life !
“Marilyn is such a great sitter for my Mason! He has some quirks when I’m out of town and she catered to all of them. He was so happy in the photos she sent.”
“Charlayda is AMAZING. My 7 fur babies loved her and were very well taken care of. She helped with multiple house related things including dealing with the police when my alarm went off in the middle of the night. She’s been a wonderful addition to my family care routine and I can’t imagine anyone else in my home or taking care of my fur babies.”

Steven was wonderful with my staffy/pitty mix & lil dachsund mix, did a meet & greet, communicated well the whole time & navigated their separation anxiety, very different personalities, and barking neighbor dogs with ease. I was struck by how automatically steven interacted with my smaller dog in a way that helped him feel comfortable with a new person, and indulged my big dog pretending to be a lap dog 😀 thank you! Will book again

Em was absolutely great with Juniper! Juniper is very slow to warm up and Em had her comfortable by the end of her first visit. She sent updates and pictures. Communication was great and Juniper was one happy puppy. Highly recommend Em! We would love to work with her again!

I needed someone to drop in on Brodie over the weekend while I was traveling, and Jess was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind, and her communication was excellent from start to finish. She was even happy to have a FaceTime call before the first visit, which gave me great peace of mind. Jess came by four times in total, always on time, and sent tons of pictures and videos so I could see how happy my boy was with her. It’s clear she truly cares. 10/10 I would definitely recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Jacksonville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
