About: I have had the joy of having dogs and cats as my companions my entire life! Including 2 painted turtles and fish. I've always had a love for animals and nature. I absolutely enjoy meeting new pet friends of all kinds. I have been pet sitting here in Jacksonville for 3 years now and have had the pleasure of caring for parrots, fish, cats, and dogs. A client of mine has a cat that needs medication as well as my own dog with allergies. I've done pet sitting for my own veterinarian's small farm with ducks, chickens, mini ponies, and mini donkey's as well. I now basic training as my own dog attended puppy classes at the K9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville. In my younger years, I worked in a veterinarian clinic for 2 years. I took a different path and started a career in the medical field in a sleep lab and am now getting back to what I truly love. Pet care! Either way, I have a nurturing nature and will treat your pets just like my own! I am a stay-at-home mom currently. I pick my daughter up from school weekly and am unavailable from 1pm-2:30pm due to the commute. Otherwise, I'm available to care for or play with your pet any other time during the week. I am available anytime on the weekends. I have a large fenced in yard with two friendly dogs for your pets to play with. I crate my own dogs and can do the same for yours if need be. I give my own dog medication for her allergies and can do the same for your own. I never leave outdoor play unattended as I do have a pool. If feeding time is needed, I separate all so as to not cause issues. I give lots of love and attention!
About: My dad is a veterinarian, I am very lucky since that allows me to know how to vaccinate animals and even suture an emergency wound, what to do in cases where a puppy is fading due to its consumption of some food or to act in case of poisoning I am currently working part time that allows me to take care of and play with your pet after 3 in the afternoon during the week and also on weekends The neighborhood is very quiet and we have nearby parks if you want me to take your dog to one, in winter we could look for options to protect your dogs pads from the snow and the cold
“Millie did great with my little one! He was immediately comfortable with her. This was my first time using Rover so I was very nervous leaving him with a complete stranger. She provided me pictures of him enjoying his stay. When I return to this area I will definitely bring my Fudge to Millie instead of boarding him at home now that I know he has a safe, clean and comfortable home to stay in. I recommend Millie 100%!”

“Summer had a great daycare experience with Jessica. 🤍 She kept me updated with photos, and seeing him looking so relaxed and happy made me feel at ease. It was also nice to know he enjoyed spending time with her dogs.”

About: When it comes to dogs, I’ve done it all! I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy pups, couch potatoes, and dogs who need a little extra love and support. No matter their age, size, or personality, I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up in a family of dog lovers, I learned how to care for, train, play with, and understand dogs from an early age. As I got older, I became the go-to dog sitter for friends and family. Before long, coworkers began trusting me with their pets too, thanks to my experience and genuine love for animals. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away I work remote and can be very flexible not only with the time you need me but with the location. I’m available 7 days a week. I have a fenced yard and 1 senior dog named Junior. Junior has been around a plethora of other dogs in his 15 years and is very friendly. Don’t his age discourage you, he still loves to run around and play. I can easy crate your dog if needed. I have a fenced yard and 1 senior dog named Junior. I am available whether it’s multiple bathroom breaks, walks, dietary needs, special medication times, or even just to spend some time playing.
“Excellent!!! Fozzie's behavior when I picked him up spoke for the great time he had. Fozzie said hi to me in usual happy fashion, yet did not want to leave. Normally, Fozzie is ready to leave wherever he is and doesn't speak to me. He actually ignores me until we get into the car. Her big brown lab was a sweet heart and her cats let Fozzie sniff them, too. Adriana, welcomed me all the way inside her home. The living room was set up for a place for pets to lay & relax; there were multiple cushions on the floor. Her back yard is fenced with ample room for running & playing, with a good size pool for pup swimming. When I came in to pick him up, she didn't rush me out. I bonded with the big guy with lots of rubbing & scratching; Fozzie wasn't his usual jealous self, getting between me and the pet I was petting. This was a very unique experience; it was great. Anytime we are in Jacksonville, FL, I know where Fozzie is going.”

About: I grew up on a farm, so I have spent most of my life caring for pets. I currently own one dog named Mackey. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give them the attention they need. Please Note: I do not accept pets that are not crate trained and potty trained. I work from home so my schedule is flexible and I can use that opportunity to provide plenty of walks and breaks as needed for your pet. Our normal walks occur twice a day in the morning and in the evening with intermittent outside breaks throughout the day. My current dog is indoors. All pets staying at my home will be indoors with A/C and access to plenty of water, food and toys.
“We were so pleased with Cody and Angel's care. They love staying with Amy and her doggy's. We are very happy . Amy is wonderful looking forward to using the service with Amy alot in the future.”

“Our John absolutely loves Maria, and your pup would be lucky to have her as a sitter! Whether it’s for a quick date night or a long weekend away, Maria is always there with great communication, reliability, and so much love for our guy. We always feel at ease knowing he’s in such good hands.”

“Carolyn took great care of my Dustin boy!! She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the day! Will definitely be using her again to watch my sweet boy. Thank you!”

About: I have always grown up and been around dogs and cats. I grew up with big dog breeds and they will always hold my heart, but I currently have a small dog who I love like a human child haha. I’ve been around and helped train puppies and also have experience with older doggies. I accept and love all shapes, sizes, ages, and breeds. I have a full time remote job , so I am always home! I may go to the gym for an hour but I am never more than 20 minutes away from my house. I have time during my day for long walks and even longer cuddle sessions. I have a larger apartment so accommodate any size doggo and my own small pup to offer some company to yours! I also love to be outside and go on walks so there is no shortage of outside time.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Jacksonville
Stella was in good hands with Em and Carl. It was clear from the start they knew how to care for my shy anxious girl. I was worried how she fared during a thunderstorm but they said she hid under the bed with their dog. She is home and out cold from a day of playing! 100% recommend.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
