Love, care and PLAYTIME

Let your pup experience a family home environment full of love and playtime much like your own! We have a large, fenced in backyard and a whole bag of tricks to help your pup have just as much of a vacation as you are. My fiance, Carl, and I, work together to care for all the dogs who come and stay with us. After adopting our dog, Luna, back in 2019, we began fostering abused and neglected dogs and gained lots of experience in dog behavior, training and care. When we moved to Jacksonville in 2021, we began sitting through Rover. Now, we have hundreds of dogs who we consider our extended family.

We had a great experience! Iris, our pup, was so well taken care of and loved while we were away. We got updates and pictures, which made us feel so much better about leaving her. She came home happy and relaxed, and we could tell she had a great time. We’d definitely book again and highly recommend!

We needed a sitter to look after our dog when my wife need a C-section 3 weeks early. Em was already our go to and came in clutch to watch our dog while we added a new member to the family, our first child, a beautiful little girl. She even suggested dropping off some used swaddles from the hospital early so he could get her scent (great idea). We greatly appreciated her prayers. As previously, Lupin was well taken care of and we couldn't be more grateful for her ability to help us out with an unexpected timeline. Truly blessing.

Em and her husband were the best! Great communicators and Riley had the best time playing with them. Would recommend and they made my staycation stress free.

Just like any human, dogs want structure and love. The dogs who stay in our home come to learn the routine of our day to day. We have playtime, mental game time, nap time, and cuddle time daily. We send at least one photo update a day.

Pets

A typical day

We ALWAYS start boarding with 1-on-1 time with your pup. This gives your dog the chance to relax and understand they're in a safe and caring place. Our dog, and any other friends staying with us, will be in their own areas (but they will know another friend is here, so it's likely that you'll hear them barking). That way your dog can come in, get to know their environment, explore outside, and get to know us before we properly introduce them to the other dogs and have playtime. If you bring a toy for your dog, we won't give it to them until we've seen how they do with the other pups (to avoid resource guarding). We feed everyone separately from one another.

Let me know all of the unique qualities and needs that make your dog special! I’m a firm believer that every dog is different and needs to be cared for differently. If your dog has separation anxiety, I recommend booking a daycare day ahead of time so they can get to know us and their new environment before a longer stay. You know your dog best so make sure to communicate with me so I can provide the best possible service for your pet!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
