“Lindsay did a great job taking care of our two pups! She is very friendly & our dogs warmed right up to her. She was also great at communicating & asking questions to make sure that she was meeting our pups needs.”

“I could tell Olive have a wonderful time with Jonathan. She enjoyed being a couch potato and he comforted her during the storms. Will definitely reach out in the future for boarding if needed!”

About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I currently work part-time Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, which means I have open availability in the mornings, evenings, and full availability on Fridays through Mondays. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“Kaylee is amazing! Our dog Lilly was well taken cared of. Kaylee followed all of our instructions and we know Lilly had fun! Thank you, Kaylee! We will definitely book with her again and recommend her to family and friends!”

“Alexis did a wonderful job! My dog is rather anxious, but Alexis did a great job taking care of her on a particularly stormy weekend. I appreciated Alexis’ communication (checking in but not too frequent). I would absolutely recommend Alexis to others.”

About: I am a senior care and family and friends rely on me to take care of dogs and cats looking for things to keep me busy I am an animal lover. Member of the ASPAC (Humane Society against animal cruelty) I'm retired and have plenty of time I have been pet sitter and feed cats that live out doors Available 7 days a week I live by myself in Mile Run in a 2 bedrooms house with a fenced patio We have around a lot of space to walk safely dogs.

“Shawna was great! We had a wonderful experience, she was very thoughtful with our dog and also has a very friendly playful one as companion herself . She always kept us well updated on candy and send pictures and videos on how she was doing which we loved. Would definitely rebook again!!”

“Tilly had a wonderful weekend stay with Lauren! The minute I met her she was warm, and willing to accommodate Tilly‘s needs knowing she’s a cuddle bug and loves one on one time. I was able to communicate with her throughout Tilly’s stay with her and I loved receiving updates and pictures daily. I would highly recommend using Lauren services, and I look forward having her stay with her again!”

About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)

About: I have great experience with all dog sizes, but medium to small is the best for me. I have taken care of elderly dogs before, and I have a small elderly pomeranian at home, so i realize they require gentle care and attention. I have a dog park outside of my apartment that is mostly unused. It is perfect for giving your dog a potty/play break. The street i live on is slow with light traffic. I am able to care for pets 24/7. I am a part time student, mostly on line, so I am at home most of the day. I work in my bedroom or living room, and I have no trouble doing work on my computer with your pet. My apartment is not on a street, just a parking lot. There is a large yard and doggy play pen outside my home. I live with a Vet student, and I am better able to care for animals with her help. I have one roommate, and my apartment is very quiet and large. I am home all day, and i enjoy quiet studying while siting next to your pet. I get bored easily so I go for walks 4-5x a day, which I would love to do together with your pet! I have a lot of patience for animals since I grew up with them, but i prefer low-energy and calm animals because I get overwhelmed easily.

“Ana was amazing! She is super friendly, and you can tell she loves dogs. The place is great and with a lot of space for the dogs to run and play. I also loved how flexible she is with drop offs and pick ups! My dog was happy and tired after, and I could not have asked for more!”

“It was hard to pick my pups up, had to carry her into our car. They had a great time! Communication was very timely and my pups even had their own room lol I will definitely be booking with them again! Thanks for taking such good care of our babies❤️❤️”

“I cannot say enough about Ali and her family. They took very great care of my dog Lady. I could tell from the pictures she was sending. Lady was having a great time and when I went to pick her up, she was smiling from ear to ear. I would highly recommend! I will definitely contact Ali the next time I’m in the area and need a safe place for Lady to hang for the weekend while I’m at the springs!!”

About: I always had dogs growing up in my household and have so much love for them & all other animals. I do have a dog myself & have lots of experience with dog behaviors, medications, dog food, etc. I am a 4th year Animal Science student on a pre-veterinary track at UF & I’m a veterinary assistant at an amazing clinic. When I can, on my free time, I also take the time to volunteer at the Humane Society of North Central Florida. I’ve dogsitted many years for friends & family. I do know how expensive doggy daycares & boarding can be so I wanted to sign up and help pawrents that need a more affordable option. When I’m not working, I have lots & lots of time to hang around your pups, give them company, or just simply walk them! If you have any specific requests, I’m more than happy to accommodate however you’d like. I do live in an apartment so I don’t have a yard but I do walk my girl 3 times a day & she can help keep your baby company. I also have a dog crate and can use it for your pup if you’d like. On some days, I take my baby to the dog park for an hour and can have your pup tag along if you feel comfortable with that.
About: I have years of experience dog and house sitting for others as well as 1 dog of my own right now. In addition to dog sitting I will also farm/house sit and have extensive experience with dogs of all sizes and horses. I am self employed and my flexible schedule means I can add some dog walking clients. We do not offer in home boarding anymore but can do drop in visits to check on your pet and give them extra attention and exercise. At this time we cannot accommodate other dogs or cats in our home. I can offer multiple drop in visits/day. Pet sitting in your home is available on a case by case basis.

Ashley and family are awesome. They took very good care of my Zoe. They provided daily updates with pictures. Zoe looked comfortable and confident and relax in their care. I was so happy that she was being taken care of by such a loving family. Thank you all agaain. I will definitely rebook. .

We left our pup with Brenda for two weeks. At first, I was a little nervous because he had never really been with a sitter that he didn’t know in the past, but Brenda exceeded my expectations. She was loving and kind, sent pictures every day so that we would feel comfortable with how he was doing. I know that she took very good care of him and we are so grateful. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Andrew was amazing with Tabby!😻 He sent daily photo/video updates, was very patient, and made me feel so reassured while I was away. Tabby can be a little shy at first, but he became comfortable surprisingly quickly with Andrew. I could tell he genuinely cares about animals and creates a calm environment for them. I would absolutely book with him again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
