About: I am a 4th(final) year Veterinary Student here at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I have experience working with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities and love them ALL!! I am respectful and mindful of animal’s space, but happy to snuggle and play anytime they want. I plan to specialize in Small Animal Medicine(Dogs, Cats and Pocket Pets) and can’t wait to meet your fur-babies!! I am not actively working at this time besides Rover(Vet School is a full time job!) I am in classes until December 2026, which means I am here in Gainesville for that time and have generally the same availability most weeks. I can drive anywhere in Gainesville within reason- I don’t often do overnight pet sitting, but am willing to discuss for the right dog! I am happy to take walks outside around your neighborhood/apartment complex, or just let your pup out to potty and hang out with them playing or just petting them inside. I am very flexible as far as scheduling and planning my visits, so feel free to make special requests!!(Such as 20min of brushing, or extra time training basic commands or giving treats/monitoring enrichment!)

“Ana was amazing! She is super friendly, and you can tell she loves dogs. The place is great and with a lot of space for the dogs to run and play. I also loved how flexible she is with drop offs and pick ups! My dog was happy and tired after, and I could not have asked for more!”

“Kim is great! Our girls had a blast! Kim shared tons of pictures and videos. It was our first time leaving the pups behind and had lots of hesitations. She put us at ease by treating them like her own.”

“Left my two bigger dogs, and felt a bit worried at first because not everyone can handle them, not only did he do great with them but went above and beyond by allowing them to roam the property, run free, feed them amazing and constantly send me daily updates, 2nd time using him and will definitely contact again when I’m out of town, highly recommended”

“Sage is great! She kept me updated and asked questions to make sure Kane was being taken care of in the best way. Kane enjoyed his time with her and her fur babies! Thank you Sage!”

About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I have availability on Friday-Sunday. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“Amanda has been so great in taking care of our dog. We went out of the country for a family vacation, she regularly sends us pictures, videos and updates us how he is doing. We can truly tell our fur baby enjoyed his stay with Amanda. Amanda is so reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. She treats our dog as if they were her own. We highly recommend her.”

“Really great! He was understanding of my precautions and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable. WS super communicative about Bearbear’s update and any things. Was over all a great sitter and quite funny too!”

“Your pups would genuinely be missing out if you don't pick Emily as their caretaker. - She was incredible with our dogs and took such loving care of them. - She handled our dog's medication on perfect schedule - Sent us plenty of pictures and even videos to make sure we knew our pups weren't just doing okay, they were having the time of their lives. Our dogs were excited to see us, but clearly sad to leave when we came to pick them up. It's also worth mentioning that this was a last minute booking that she took on to help us out. You can't ask for a more kind or considerate person to take care of your fur babies than Emily!”

“I could tell Olive have a wonderful time with Jonathan. She enjoyed being a couch potato and he comforted her during the storms. Will definitely reach out in the future for boarding if needed!”

“Tatiana and her family were a great fit for Holi. They provided her the lots of love and attention and she had a blast playing with the kids and pups. Tatiana was great with updates throughout the stay and was super responsive to any messages. We will for sure rebook with her in the future.”

“Tilly had a wonderful weekend stay with Lauren! The minute I met her she was warm, and willing to accommodate Tilly‘s needs knowing she’s a cuddle bug and loves one on one time. I was able to communicate with her throughout Tilly’s stay with her and I loved receiving updates and pictures daily. I would highly recommend using Lauren services, and I look forward having her stay with her again!”

My schedule is most flexible for morning and afternoon/evening drop-ins during the weekday, and open flexibility during the weekend. very flexible and open. I'm available everyday for walking and drop-in visits, but prefer advance notice for house stays. I'm available for overnight stays, or I can visit your pet(s) at home. For new clients, I prefer meeting beforehand to discuss care, any expectations, or instructions. I am available most mornings and and evenings during weekdays and flexible during weekends. My home is also available for overnights or weekend playdates.

“My dog seemed to enjoy her stay with Trinity and Thomas. It gave me peace of mind knowing Trinity works as a vet tech and Thomas works from home, so my dog had plenty of attention. We also did a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure our dogs got along, which I really appreciated. It seemed like my dog got lots of playtime with their dog during her stay. I knew beforehand that their dog might tear up soft toys, so we only brought toys we were okay with parting with. However, one of my dog's hard toys and her food bowl also ended up getting chewed, which is not something my dog usually does. Just keep in mind if you bring any toys or food items that their dog may have access to, they may get chewed on.”

“Abbey is so sweet and kept me updated with lots of pictures. I asked her to watch my dog last minute and she was more than willing to help which was so so awesome of her! Will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future! :)”

Andrew was amazing with Tabby!😻 He sent daily photo/video updates, was very patient, and made me feel so reassured while I was away. Tabby can be a little shy at first, but he became comfortable surprisingly quickly with Andrew. I could tell he genuinely cares about animals and creates a calm environment for them. I would absolutely book with him again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
