About: Well-cared for pets can truly make for a person's best friend. As a former pet store manager, lifelong pet owner, and person who cares, I've had the opportunity to work with critters of all backgrounds and ages. Lots of experience with senior animals across a range of challenges. I work out of the house most days from 7am-5pm, but my wife is home most days during the week with the exception of Thursday and Friday. It's important for a pet owner to feel comfortable and confident in the person trusted with their pets safety and well being. As such, especially when in someone else's home, the best practice is to listen! Owners know their pet better than anyone, so it's important not to assume that we as caregivers always know what's best. Within our home, we have a large yard with diverse terrain and are off a series on low-traffic streets. Animals that get along will generally have run of the interior and when applicable to owner preferences, access to exterior. For those who have animals with a pre-disposition towards escape, we also offer a complimentary air tag tracker. This way you can rest assured your pet can be located in the case of an emergency.

About: ◾️ When people ask if I'm a dog or a cat person, I say, "I'm an animal person!" I have a lifelong passion to care for nature and animals, whether cats, dogs, or other critter friends! I grew up with several pets who were part of the family, including a dog and four cats. Currently, I have a crested gecko named Savoofy 🦎 and a mixed Jack Russell dog named Taro 🐶 , whom I adore. I'm also looking for a cat to adopt to join the crew soon! 🐈 ◾️ For many years now, I have been pet-sitting for family and friends. Last year I started pet-sitting professionally, and I have loved getting to meet so many incredible pets and spending time with them 😄 ◾️ I have had the joy of caring for a variety of pets of all ages, breeds, medication needs, and energy levels ⚡️, ranging from young to old, from chihuahuas to mastiffs to mixed dogs, from domestic shorthair cats to Maine Coons, and also including reptiles, birds, and fish. I am happy to help care for your pet/pets in your home in the best way possible, depending on their needs and personality. I have fun taking dogs for short walks or for longer adventures 🌎, at a slow pace or jogging. I also always enjoy playing with dogs or cats 🎉, or just hanging out with them and checking on them if they're in a more chill mood. I walk dogs rain or shine and will dry their fur afterwards (as long as you and your pup are comfortable with the rain!) I always love getting to see multiple animals at once, and other cute critters like birds, rodents, reptiles, and fish are always welcome too! I am experienced in administering a variety of medications as well. ◾️ Boarding pets in someone else's home can be a great option as well in some cases. I am unable to offer boarding at this time since I live in a small apartment, but my dream is to board all the animals once I have a house with a backyard! 🏡

About: I grew up being surrounded by all different breeds and sizes of dogs and currently have one myself. I used to volunteer at the humane society walking/playing/interacting with both cats and dogs/puppies! I also have experience working at a doggy daycare where I was in charge of the big dog play yard (50+ lbs) and there were numerous dogs in that yard at any given time. I was able to create and maintain a safe environment for them by picking up on cues/body language to keep everyone happy and healthy! I occasionally rotated with the small and medium dog play yards as well. I was also tasked with providing medications and food to all of our boarding dogs during down time. I loved every minute of it! I am currently available all days of the week at most times. I do have 2 of my own dogs that I will need to be available for. As your fur baby's walker, I can assure you that they will receive just as much love and care as they do at your home. I am responsible and will clean up after them, I will make sure they are safe and if necessary will avoid others walking with animals. I will not walk your dog on asphalt if it is above a certain degree. If I cannot hold my hand on the ground for more than a few seconds, your baby can't walk on it.

About: I have had pets my entire life and have always had an active role in taking care of them. From watching my family dogs while my parents are away to taking care of friends' and family friends' pets, to having my own fur baby, I love loving on them and taking care of the ones that bring us joy! I am a college student and work 3 days a week, so my availability is variable but I am very open. Dropping in to say hello or taking your baby on a walk will fit right in for me! Communication is key. Keeping in touch is the most important part when taking care of your fur baby so I can know exactly what they need! Plus you'll get some cute pics of them while I'm at it :)

About: Hi there! My name is Marissa, and I am hoping to become a trusted caretaker for you & your fur family within the Gainesville community. My whole life, my family has always had a house full of animals- from dogs and cats to lizards, birds, rabbits, hamsters, etc. Now, as an adult, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all with extremely unique and different personalities. I spent 6 years volunteering at my local humane society and have experience walking, feeding, bathing, and caring for all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I am very comfortable with any breed of dog and I am also very respectful of cats, I am keen on pets cues for boundaries. I understand all pets are different and I’d be honored to help you and your fur family in your time of need, while on vacation, etc. I’ve used rover in the past as a customer and have had good experiences with the app. I am new to this area but if you give me a chance I promise to take the best care of your pets while building trust in this community. My schedule is flexible at the moment. Every pet is unique and different in their own way. I have had a lot of experience with my own pets and my time volunteering at the humane society - I understand some dogs try to run out every chance they get or some dogs are food aggressive. I typically like to know your routine, with detailed notes/stopping by and introducing myself so you can show me how to properly care for your pet(s) while you are away. Trust is important and I know it can be scary using an app for pet care. Our pets are our family and I hope to start building a reliable reputation within this community.

About: I love animals with my whole heart! I've taken care of and grown up with dogs my whole life. I personally have a lab (who loves other dogs) that I have raised since 8 weeks old. I love teaching her new tricks and commands. I love going on walks and snuggling up with all the fur babies. Trust be when I say I will take care of you baby as my own and my dog is my whole world I am a night shift nurse so I'm home all day and off 4 nights out of the week. I've had a dog the whole time I have been a nurse so I'm very used to getting up during the day and caring for her and switching my schedule I have a lab who loves other dogs, she is fixed so no need to worry about babies. I am happy to allow your dogs on the furniture or in the bed or however you do things at home. I'm also comfortable with crate training if that is your preference!

About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. Since then, I’ve cared for and walked many dogs while babysitting and nannying, both for short visits and overnight stays. I understand the level of detail it takes to help pets feel comfortable and to give owners peace of mind while they’re away. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own dog tore his ACL while I was in college, and for months I carried him up and down stairs while managing his recovery. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. He was clever enough to try to outsmart me when it came to pills, which taught me patience, creativity, and a sense of humor when caring for animals. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. My goal is always happy pets and complete peace of mind for their owners. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. With advance notice, I’m also happy to adjust my weekend schedule to fit your pet’s routine. I do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. I treat my pets as family, and I have witnessed my family and friends care for pets as if they are a child. On days I couldn’t bring my dog along, I trusted the people watching him to do the same, and maybe even add a little extra love for missing his family.

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was a teenager! I have ample experience with caring for senior dogs, giving walks, feeding, outdoor play, bathing, and nail clipping. I absolutely love all dogs, and I have experience with caring for big and small dogs alike! I am open to visiting your home to care for your pet or bringing your pet into my own home to care for them! I do not travel much, so I largely have an open schedule. I will happily send you photos of your pets daily! I live in an apartment complex with ample courtyard space for dogs to walk and play. There is also a nearby dog park to take any dogs that I care for. I also have a lovely fenced in back porch that I often let my cat sit outside on. I am willing to visit and/or stay in your home with your animals as well! I will follow all instructions that you leave me, and I will ensure the safety of your pets while they are in my care.

In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and quiet companionship, so they feel safe in their own space. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean and consistent.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 6 years old when we got our family Doberman. Since then we have had several dogs and now I have a miniature dachshund named Maggie! I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes. I’m in nursing school so I will have time outside of class to care for your pet! I generally do not have evening plans so I can accommodate your pet in the evenings and afternoons. I have a clean home with adequate space and live in an apartment community with paved sidewalks. I have extra blankets, food bowls, and live near several parks as well.

About: I believe in taking care of any furry family member, whether they are puppies or older puppies. I am a mother to a beautiful Rottweiler, a long haired dachshund and a Morkie who I love with all my heart. I believe in keeping the parents involved in all the aspect of the dog sitting keeping them informed and making sure they know their family members little tail is always wagging - I make sure to keep constant communication with pawrents so you guys never miss a second of their day. I love to go on walks with them and take them to the parks and if we so happen to get dirty playing outside I make sure that they come back home clean and fresh. I love to make doggies smile and happy. I have no concern with large breed dogs and small breed as well so truly no dog turned away. I work with rover full time and go to school as well, on my off days I like to keep active taking my own dogs for walks and I figured people as busy as I am could use the help as well so I would love to be able to assist with taking your doggies out too! As mentioned before I like to keep the pawrents up to date as I am taking care of the doggies! I make sure I have a list of all medications needed, any dietary restrictions, their own day to day schedule with feeding and bathroom breaks so it does not disturb their schedule. I offer at home care, boarding, walks, and drop ins to make it as convenient for your family as possible!

Kaitlin gave regular updates and daily pictures. She was comfortable giving medicine and had no problem cleaning the litter box, every cat owner's least favorite task. About: I am a second year veterinary student who has worked as a small animal veterinary assistant for about 3 years. I have experience in caring for senior pets and younger puppies/kittens as well. I grew up with dogs and cats, and now have a three-legged cat of my own. I am very reliable, thorough, and will care for your pets as my own. I’m currently home for the summer after my first year of vet school, so I have plenty of time to help you care for your fur babies! My current part-time work/volunteer schedule will allow me to have a flexible schedule to meet you and your pets’ needs. I have one dog and four cats at home who all get along very well and their comfort is the top priority. I will ensure your pets safety and comfort needs are met based on your instructions given. I am able to crate your animals, leash walk only if needed, and keep a close eye on them when going outside. If your animals need to be kept separate at any point such as meal time, I will be able to accommodate for that as well.

I am a graduate student in Gainesville with very flexible class schedule at the end of week and have weekends free! I’m home a lot outside of class time. I live in an apartment complex by myself with the company of my chocolate lab to keep your pup entertained! We go on many walks and to the dog park to get all the energy out.
