“We've used Rover before but this was our first time booking Jessica, and she did a great job! During the stay, the front door wasn't opening the way it should have and as outlined, but Jessica handled it like a pro and figured it out without any issues. We really appreciated her problem, solving attitude rather than just giving up. When we returned home to Betty Boop, she seemed happy and perfectly fine, always a good sign! We'd definitely book Jessica again. Reliable, resourceful, and great with our pup.”

“Nikki did everything we asked and more. We will definitely use her again when we travel. We have one cat that hides from everyone and the very first day she was at the house, she sent a picture of her petting that cat. She is a “cat whisperer” for sure.”

“Amanda had high energy to match our 6-month-old Frenchies Duke & Domino. Our crew seems to love her. We also received daily updates and pictures of her drop-in visits that put us at ease.”
“Sarah is awesome! We needed someone to stay with our newly adopted 7 year old German Shephard as he has separation anxiety and would have destroyed our house if left alone. When we returned Duke was calm and the house was in tact. We appreciated the updates with pictures and videos. Sarah truly loves animals and we look forward to having her care for our fur baby again”
“Brianna was amazing! She played with our puppies, she was very respectful of our home which was very important to us as this was our first time ever using this app! She kept in communication with me throughout the whole time and even sent me pictures of her playing with the pups! 10+ out of 10! Thank you so much!!”
About: Living on a farm back at home has given me a strong love for animals. My main goal when I’m around animals is to make sure they are comfortable and feeling safe. Pets are here to make us happy but I want the same for them as well! 💝 I am currently a full time student at the College of Charleston and start classes around 11pm everyday. I have breaks in the afternoon between classes and am done most days around 5, if not earlier. Morning, lunch, and evening would be how I would fit pet care into my daily routine. I want the pets i care for to feel comfortable with me in their home. I don’t want them to feel like I’m taking over their safe space and their territory. I want them to have trust with me.
About: I’m home all day/night pet sitting full time! Once I became a pet owner I never looked back. My fury child is my life. As a pet owner for 14 years I am very skillful in all areas of pet car from teeth brushing to tick picking. I have seen them grow old, loose their hearing, sight and ability to walk, but never once treated them like an old dog. I take seriously the need for touch by brushing their hair as often as possible and giving belly ribs when they turn on their backs for that special attention. My bed is their bed as they like to cuddle and feel safe and secure. I am a morning person and love feeling the brisk air as I watch pets take to the grass for their morning outing. I am home all day/night! I am available as early as 5:30am to receive your fury child into my home. I have plenty of space for them to play and I for one like to keep them in my site. Especially the little ones, they can get into so much. I have 4 dogs parks right in my community and each one is covered in grass. I love to walk, so your pet will never be taken off schedule. I have the best water-resistant floors in the event of any accidents, just wipe and go. I take work/life balance breaks so always free to play with your pets. I am currently home all day/night! I can feed twice a day or more, and I offer treats, walks and lots of play time. I can separate your pet, if need be. I have lots of sleeping space for those that are just tired little pups. My house is quiet, no children so no bother. I have a closed in balcony which provide a nice look out point for your pet. I have stuff animals and dog toys that I leave around the house for playmates as well.
“Tammy did a wonderful job watching my chihuahua, Sassy. This was the first time I have had to leave her and Tammy came twice a day and sat with her and gave her her food and loved on her. She sent me daily pictures which helped with my anxiety about having to be away. When the need arises I will definitely use her again.”

About: My name is Emma, and I have over a decade of experience caring for both dogs and cats, personally and professionally! I love animals, they’re such gifts, and I would love to help you with your special family member! I’ve trained dogs in both obedience and hunting professionally, as well as rescuing and adopting a cat personally, so I’m experienced caring for and loving both our canine and feline friends! I stay at home now, and would love to help you care for your furry companions! I’m currently staying at home, so while I always make sure to shower my little cat with love, I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the workday to help care for your furry family members! This includes making sure they have plenty of playtime, long walks for our canine friends, and plenty of stimulation, as well as a clean environment (scoop litter boxes, make sure food/water are distributed appropriately, etc)! Each fur baby has different needs! I believe that owners know best, so my first step is to see what you want for your furry companion in terms of care! I love going on long walks, so happy to get plenty of exercise in with dogs, as well as letting them off leash (with explicit owner permission) within a fenced area! With our feline friends, I’m vigilant about doors, ensuring they don’t sneak out, and also love playing with them, and providing mental simulation!

“Rod and Rene are absolutely wonderful. My husband and I work very long hours and wanted to make sure our golden puppy would be cared for while we are at work. Rod always arrives early and our pup adores him! He’s so flexible and easy to reach. I don’t know what we would do without him!! (We are repeat customers and intend to have him in Winnie’s life for a long time)”

About: I used to live on a farm and have all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for animals all my life. I am ready to care for your animals too! I work from home, so I have the flexibility to check in on your pets as needed. Making a schedule that fits your needs, is my priority! I’m very trustworthy and reliable. I’ll leave things the same way, or better than I found it. I’ll care for your little loves as if they were mine.
“Teri took care of our two cats and did an excellent job. She followed all instructions and took the time to play with and engage with our cats. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter. She also cleaned up after the cats. Thank you, Teri and Rover!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and now I have the privilege of enjoying them vicariously through other people. This way I don't have just one, but many. American Red Cross Certification in Cat and Dog First Aid. After years of working in the corporate world I decided to do something that I love which is caring for, and spending time with animals. This allows me to enjoy being with your pet and also provides you with peace of mind and the best care possible at any time of day. I can take care of your pet in your home or mine to just let them out for a minute, or hang out with them for a while. I realize every pet has unique personalities and needs so I will do my best to work with you in any situation.
“Berkley is an oustanding person and dog sitter. Our current mobile living situation involved complex access and interaction with our dog. Berkley delivered her services and assistance beyond expectations and we do recommend her without hesitation. Thank you again very much Berkley and looking forward to collaborate with you again ! 👍🙏🏻🙌✌️”

About: Truthfully, I have always taken to animals. The world is full of terrible things— but animals just simply aren’t one of them. When I was 14 I began rehabbing animals — and not just dogs (squirrels, raccoons, opossums, chinchillas, sugar gliders, etc) and my name was on the vet’s list so they called when they needed a fostering spot for them. I didn’t make money then, I just did it because if I didn’t, then who would’ve? I have a 2 year old now, and I can’t take on as many rehabbing projects, but we still very much enjoy the company of a full home with animals. They are loved on, treated with respect, and the goal is to make them excited for their next play date. I don’t have reviews yet, because I am just starting on this app! But I have, personally, saved over 15 animals at 23 years old, and it’s something that I’m proud of. I feel confident that your pet will be cared for with my family— as we will treat it like our own! There is nearly always a person in my household. Furthermore, I just treat the extra pet the same way I treat my puppy! Two is not really much more difficult then one… haha! I have a 6-foot privacy fence. I have a heavy-duty collar and leash for walks (this helps to engage the dogs and allow them to release energy). I have a fully metal barred large crate in case the dog requires some peace and quiet. I have a four by three foot dog bed with blankets for the pups to relax on. There is ALWAYS water down, and if I have to feed, then dogs eat separately— as I don’t ever put dogs in a situation where they feel they need to be defensive or on guard. Contrary to people’s belief, dogs don’t need toys. I have them, but I don’t keep them down because if two dogs are present and they go for the same one, it could cause an unintentional fight. I add this information not to scare, but to actually put pet owners at ease. I am extremely experienced when it comes to breeds of dogs—their needs, their desires, and what makes them unique! More importantly, I respect them, and put them in a respectful environment where they feel comfortable,
About: Over the past two years, I've had the joy of caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. From an energetic 8-month-old Staffy puppy I cared for over 6 weeks to sweet senior dogs who need gentle, patient love, I tailor my care to each dog's unique personality and needs. I've worked with a variety of breeds including Great Danes, Border Collies, terriers, and rescue dogs. Whether your pup needs high-energy playtime, calm companionship, or specialized attention, I'm here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away Over the past two years, I've had the joy of caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. From an energetic 8-month-old Staffy puppy I cared for over 6 weeks to sweet senior dogs who need gentle, patient love, I've worked with Great Danes, Border Collies, terriers, rescues, and more. I love going on walks while listening to music or audiobooks, so adding a friendly dog companion is never a hassle! Whether your pup wants to stop and smell every smell or needs a brisk walk to burn off energy, I'm happy to match their pace. I'm also available for drop-in visits to check on your pet, let them out in the backyard, or provide midday company. For cat parents: I understand that cats need patience and respect. I've cared for both indoor and outdoor cats, including seniors requiring medication like steroid treatments every other day. I always let cats come to me on their own time—no forced cuddles, just calm, reliable care. Unfortunately, I'm not offering boarding at my home right now, but I'm happy to provide walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting at your place! Since I'm currently offering drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting at the client's home, I focus on making your pet feel comfortable and keeping their normal routine. For dogs: I follow your feeding schedule, take them on walks that match their energy level (whether that's a leisurely sniff-filled stroll or a brisk energy-burner), and provide plenty of playtime and attention. I'm happy to let them out in the backyard for potty breaks and will stick to any special instructions you have. For cats: I respect their independence and let them approach me on their own timeline. I'll handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and medication if needed. I'm experienced giving treatments like steroids to senior cats. General care: I'll send you photos and updates so you know your pet is doing well. I can also bring in mail, water plants, or adjust blinds to keep your home looking lived-in while you're away. My goal is to provide stress-free care so your pet stays happy and comfortable in their own environment, and you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
