I love taking them to the local dog park and would happy to bring some of that love I have for them into your pets lives! I am very flexible with my hours and am willing to drive to your house to walk or watch your pet. I require at least a one day notice. My biggest accomplishment for house/dog sitting would be for your dog to feel as comfortable as possible in your home while you are out of town!
About: I’ve spent over 18 years caring for animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to horses. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I have hands-on experience with senior animals, large breeds, and animals needing medication or extra attention. My background working with horses has also strengthened my confidence in handling animals of any size and temperament with patience and care. am currently an overnight veterinary technician at a large animal hospital. My work schedule allows me plenty of daytime flexibility to provide dedicated pet care. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or extended visits, I’m able to give your pets the attention and care they deserve while maintaining a consistent routine. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs over the years and truly treat them as part of the family. We had beloved dogs growing up, and I’ve also had cats—including a rescue cat which we loved very much. I'm naturally attentive to each pet's behavior, routine, and comfort. I take the time to understand their personality, so they feel calm and secure while you're away. I'm also friendly, respectful, clean and easy to communicate with. I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in caring and responsible hands. I work from home, so I’m available throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, care, and companionship. I have a flexible schedule and can adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment for pets in my care. Since I work from home, pets are rarely left alone and receive consistent supervision throughout the day. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I take pets out on leashed walks and supervised potty breaks to ensure their safety at all times. I also have a spacious outdoor patio area for fresh air and short breaks. Inside, I maintain a clean, comfortable space where pets can relax and feel at ease. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they receive the attention, care, and affection they’re used to. In a client’s home, I respect their space and instructions, keeping their pet’s routine consistent and stress-free.
“We've used Rover before but this was our first time booking Jessica, and she did a great job! During the stay, the front door wasn't opening the way it should have and as outlined, but Jessica handled it like a pro and figured it out without any issues. We really appreciated her problem, solving attitude rather than just giving up. When we returned home to Betty Boop, she seemed happy and perfectly fine, always a good sign! We'd definitely book Jessica again. Reliable, resourceful, and great with our pup.”

About: I've been blessed to have had dogs and cats most of my entire life. This is the first time I haven't had my own dog and I miss her daily. Pet sitting fills a void in my heart and I will do everything to ensure your pet is happy, healthy and well taken care of. I recently relocated back to California from Lake Lure, North Carolina. My entire community in Western NC was devastated by Hurricane Helene and I was evacuated and returned home near my family. I have enjoyed all of the amazing dogs and animals I have had the pleasure of sitting in the past through Rover.com. Now that I am back in CA I would like to continue my work with animals. I am a responsible caring person who loves animals and am currently available to help with your pets in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, or Santa Ynez Valley. I would never trust a client's dog off a leash. Your animals will never be left alone and always escorted on their walks, unless otherwise told by the owner. Your pets will enjoy the comforts of their own home and be safe while you are away.
“Thank God for Melissa… She took excellent care of my Kitties even though they are scared of strangers. I was out of the country during the cold snap and she walked into a very cold house, but got my thermostat working so it stayed at 70°… not in the 40”s she walked into and let me know what was going on every day she came. Everything was clean and taken care of. I will definitely call her again when I am traveling.”

About: I love dogs. Friends call me the whisperer. I lost my Princess 2 years ago to cancer and I find that this is the best medicine for me. I love to travel so having another baby right now is not in the cards. Taking care of your baby is the next best thing. I have had people fly me out to Portland, California, and New York to pet sit for them. I absolutley love it. Some of the dogs I have cared for were sick or new family members. I love to take them on new adventures but only if Mom and Dad are okay with it. I also love to train, play, and hug on them. My only job is taking care of your dog, so I am with them the entire day and night. Sometimes they will go on a golf cart ride with me. My yard is not fenced in so your dog would be walked regularly. There are plenty of grassy areas next to and accross the street from me. If there is a schedule you have for the dog that is what will be followed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wildwood
Liberty was great. We needed help with our retrievers while we finished moving tasks. We asked for her help and she was there within a couple hours. Then she stayed past her hour while we searched for uhaul returns. So relieved she was there to help us. Would definitely recommend her and would use her services again.

Giovanna was absolutely amazing with my two King Charles Cavaliers. My little female, Scarlet is approx 10 years old and totally urinary incontinent. Giovanna had to change her diaper at each visit ( which was several times a day)! On top of that situation, both my doggies are rescues, and Scarlet is shy. But Giovanna bonded with them and was patient enough to take off and put on Scarlet’s diapers and make her feel safe. Giovanna has a kind and calm personality which made it easy for me to choose her. Plus, she really listened to all my needs and took them into consideration! I highly recommend Giovanna when considering a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Sarah is awesome! We needed someone to stay with our newly adopted 7 year old German Shephard as he has separation anxiety and would have destroyed our house if left alone. When we returned Duke was calm and the house was in tact. We appreciated the updates with pictures and videos. Sarah truly loves animals and we look forward to having her care for our fur baby again
Anthony was so amazing with our dog. She is very shy and timid and nervous around new people but he took his time with her and after the visits they were best friends. He had so much patience with her and I knew she was in good hands. He kept us updated on all the visits and sent lots of pictures which help us feel so much better. If you are looking for a great dog sitter Anthony is your man. We cannot thank him enough for all the extra care and attention he gave our dog. We will defiantly use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for dog care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
