“Couldn't of had a better sitter for my two precious babies. Carol communicated well and took great care of my two. Highly recommend Carol if you're looking for someone to trust your pets with. They loved her and so did we!❤️🦋”

About: I have lots of experience with big animals and small old and young and I also understand that they all can have different needs at different stages of life and I can help with that. I work Monday through Thursday so my Friday and weekends are free to help. I can do early morning walks mid and and evening times too depending on the needs My home is pet proof I do have animals of my own and they love it when new friends come over to play. I do pet sit for friends when they have to go out of town. If you are more comfortable with me coming to you. I always respect your house and fur baby just like my own and keep things clean
“Sabrina took wonderful care of Elsey and Sugar. She was communicative and provided regular updates with photos. Both my pups seemed very happy when I returned home. We’ll definitely book with her again.”

“Donna is excellent!! She did a great job house sitting our two Cavaliers while we were out of town. They were comfortable with her and well taken care of. This has been our best Rover experience so far and we will definitely use Donna again in the future! Thanks Donna!”
“Wow! Katherine was Amazing! Great personality and she kept me informed and went the extra mile! She was on time, super nice, and Luna seemed so happy when we got home! She will definitely be my go to person! So don’t book her, because she’s all mine! lol! Just kidding!”

“This is the second time we have booked with Matt, and he did an excellent job with all our animals. He sent thoughtful updates and wonderful pictures. We’ll be booking with him again!”
“Misty is a lifesaver, so happy we connected. She stayed at the house with my Malinois for 4 days and when I got home, my dog was happy and healthy, and the house looked like Misty wasn’t there (she cleaned, did laundry, and left no trace). The peace of mind is priceless and I recommend Misty.”

“Anthony is unbelievable! He is the dog whisperer. Our dog Elvis loves him! We couldn’t be happier with the care and attention Anthony gave to him. He stayed in our home and took care of it like his own. We are so happy that we were blessed to find him.”

About: Hello! I am a lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like a cherished member of the family. Having owned dogs and cats my entire life, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust completely to care for your fur babies. To give back to the animal community, I am currently volunteering at a local shelter, which keeps my hands-on care skills sharp and my heart full. Your pets will receive the exact same patience, love, and individual attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and scheduled care, and I make it a priority to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’m dependable about arrival times and communication, and I’ll always keep you updated while your pet is in my care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your instructions carefully, respect your home, and make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and other safety needs are handled exactly as requested. I take time to help pets feel comfortable with me and never rush an animal that needs a little extra time to warm up. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe and well cared for.
“We were very happy with Meghan. She treated our pets (cat and dog) like her own. They were both very relaxed when we got back home. Also she left our home even better than before we left. Will definitely hire her again!”

About: I offer loving, reliable pet care in a calm and relaxed environment. I specialize in well-behaved pets and focus on making them feel safe, comfortable and at home. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs over the years and truly treat them as part of the family. We had beloved dogs growing up, and I’ve also had cats—including a rescue cat which we loved very much. I'm naturally attentive to each pet's behavior, routine, and comfort. I take the time to understand their personality, so they feel calm and secure while you're away. I'm also friendly, respectful, clean and easy to communicate with. I want you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in caring and responsible hands. I work from home, so I’m available throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, care, and companionship. I have a flexible schedule and can adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment for pets in my care. Since I work from home, pets are rarely left alone and receive consistent supervision throughout the day. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I take pets out on leashed walks and supervised potty breaks to ensure their safety at all times. I also have a spacious outdoor patio area for fresh air and short breaks. Inside, I maintain a clean, comfortable space where pets can relax and feel at ease. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they receive the attention, care, and affection they’re used to. In a client’s home, I respect their space and instructions, keeping their pet’s routine consistent and stress-free.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wildwood
Bella was great! My husband and I are new to Rover (we usually have family help with care), and were a bit apprehensive about entrusting the care of our babies Buckley and Enzo (and home!) to a stranger. However, Bella proved to be incredibly responsive, caring and easy to work with. After a successful meet and greet, we felt confident Bella would give them the love and differentiated care they need based on their big age difference (Buckley is a senior dog at 13.5, Enzo is an "old" puppy at 2.5). We loved getting the many daily photos of outside and play time, and appreciated Bella's willingness to help us shuffle cars for street cleaning as well as manage trash pick up for the week we were gone. Buckley and Enzo seemed to really enjoy their time with Bella, and my husband and I were grateful to come home to a house as clean as we had left it. We would definitely recommend Bella to others and would be happy to work with her again. Thank you!

Carol is the Best! She was very attentive to our boy. He him lots of attention. Not only did she take care of our boy, she took care of our home without even asking her to do so. She was very very communicative during her stay. Lots of pics! Will definitely use her again.

She was fantastic! From the meet and greet to the end, she did above and beyond everything! She was fantastic with both of our dogs. They are not the easiest but she did a great job taking care of them. She took good care of our house and updated us throughout our entire visit. I would 100% book again and would recommend her to anyone!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wildwood on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wildwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wildwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wildwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wildwood. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
