About: I have had dogs for many years of my life. As a child I had a Boxer for 7 years. She was a show dog before she came to live with us. In the past 30 years I have had a Miniature Schnauzer, Kimba for almost 18 years. When Kimba passed I adopted a rescue dog who had been abused, Buddy, a Boxer/Pit Bull mix. Buddy bonded with me but was terrified of everyone else. We decided that Buddy needed a friend and we got Copper, an Australian Shepherd who was a year younger than Buddy but he helped Buddy realize that he would never be hurt again. They are best buddies and bring my wife and me joy every single day. I am retired so I usually have availability most days. I am available in the event of last minute emergencies that may arise.
